Cardinals signed G/C Ted Larsen, formerly of the Bucs, to a two-year contract.

A 2010 sixth-rounder, Larsen appeared in all 16 games last season. He's made 31 career starts, splitting time almost evenly between center and guard. He'll provide depth at all three interior-line positions in Arizona.

ESPN's Adam Schefter reports the Falcons are "optimistic" Julio Jones (toe) will play this week.

The New York Daily News reports impending free agent Jason Pierre-Paul's Giants future is up in the air.

Pierre-Paul is done for the season after undergoing sports-hernia surgery. It's possible he won't be back with the Giants after playing out this year on the franchise tag. Pierre-Paul graded as one of PFF's top 4-3 ends, but six of his seven sacks came against Cleveland and Chicago in the two weeks before he went down. Pierre-Paul is likely going to be targeting Olivier Vernon money (five years, $85M). He would cost the Giants $15.7 million to tag in 2017.

Coach Doug Peterson said Ryan Mathews (knee) is "ready to go" for Week 14.

"He's good to play," Pederson said. "Cleared and ready to go." Mathews returned to practice for the first time in two weeks Wednesday. The Eagles struggled to run with him sidelined, rushing for just 134 yards combined. Mathews will resume lead back duties for Sunday's game with Washington.
Dec 8 - 10:11 AM

Falcons signed CB Robert Alford to a four-year, $38 million extension.

The deal includes $21 million guaranteed. It's a massive commitment, but Alford has quietly been one of the league's better cover corners the last two years. Alford was scheduled to be a free agent this offseason but the Falcons clearly didn't want to risk losing him. His contract shouldn't prevent Atlanta from locking up Desmond Trufant, who's entering a walk year in 2017.

The MMQB’s Albert Breer reports Rams coach Jeff Fisher has a "toxic" relationship with GM Les Snead.

The Rams extended both Fisher and Snead despite the ongoing rift. According to Breer, the problems have "been an open secret" in league circles, with some in the organization nicknaming it "Rams Junior High." It's just the latest from one of the most dysfunctional organizations in the league. Despite their new contracts, the Rams haven’t given any assurances to Fisher and Snead beyond this season.

Bucs OC Todd Monken indicated Wednesday that he is not pleased with the current state of Tampa Bay's running game.

"We've just got to do it better," said Monken while stating Jacquizz Rodgers is headed for an expanded role. "We've got to do a better job on the perimeter blocking. We've got to do a better job up front, a better job seeing the holes." The statement "a better job seeing the holes" indicates Monken believes the Bucs have been leaving yards on the field. Doug Martin is averaging 2.85 yards per carry since returning from his hamstring injury, and hasn't cleared 3.8 yards per carry in any of his six appearances this year.

Coach Gary Kubiak made it clear Wednesday that Justin Forsett is an immediate part of the Broncos' backfield plans.

Struggling mightily for the last month-plus, Devontae Booker is going to have to raise his level of play immensely in order to hold off Forsett, who probably knows the offense better than Booker does considering Forsett's history with Kubiak. "He can help us quick," Kubiak said. "We need somebody to step in and contribute. It was a blessing he was let go the week before what we just went through." Forsett gives the Broncos late-season fresh legs and will be given an opportunity to become a meaningful part of their offense during a playoff push. The 8-4 Broncos are one game back of the 9-3 Chiefs and two games back of the 10-2 Raiders.

Packers OLB Nick Perry (hand) could miss the rest of the season.

He suffered what coach Mike McCarthy called a "significant" left hand injury and has already had surgery on it. The injury occurred in the first half of Sunday's win over Houston. He returned to the game with a large cast on his hand but only lasted a few plays. Perry has never played a full season since arriving in the league in 2012.

Michael Thomas (foot) didn't practice Wednesday.

It's a surprise after Thomas played the entire game last week. There's not going to be many updates on Thomas with this being the Saints. Thomas is a borderline WR1 if he plays against the Bucs.
Dec 7 - 5:30 PM

Updating a previous item, Theo Riddick missed Wednesday's practice with a wrist injury.

Riddick has been missing practice time for the past several weeks. As of now, there's little concern about his Week 14 availability, but we'll have to check back in on him Thursday. Riddick will be an RB3 if he plays Sunday.
Dec 7 - 4:04 PM

ESPN's Dan Graziano reports the Browns plan to start Robert Griffin III against the Bengals.

Coming out of the bye week, coach Hue Jackson refused to name a starter after Wednesday's practice, a practice in which all four of RGIII, Josh McCown, Cody Kessler, and Kevin Hogan took snaps. Signs have pointed to Griffin getting the start for the past couple weeks. He does very little to move the needle from a fantasy standpoint, but Terrelle Pryor's floor remains safe.
