Falcons waived FB Bradie Ewing.

Ewing was picked in the fifth round in 2012 to replace former Pro Bowl FB Ovie Mughelli, but Ewing has found it difficult to stay on the field. Ewing could catch on with a team in need of a lead blocker, but he needs to stay healthy.

Texans LT Duane Brown ended his holdout and has rejoined the team.

Brown had to report this week to prevent his contract from tolling. NFL Network's Ian Rapoport reports Brown is physically ready to practice, but it remains to be seen if the Texans will welcome him back with open arms. Pro Football Talk reported Sunday the Texans are open to trading the left tackle.

Joe Mixon believes the Bengals need to run the football more.

Despite some rare success on the ground in the first half, Mixon did not record a carry after the break while Jeremy Hill and Giovani Bernard were mostly uninvolved as well. "It's frustrating to us running backs," Mixon said. "If it worked in the first half, why not do it in the second?" Mixon's workload had been fairly steady before the bye, and he still led the backfield in touches on Sunday. He should bounce back in a good spot against the Colts this week.

Martavis Bryant expressed frustration about his role and seemed to confirm reports of a trade request on Instagram.

Responding to a comment he was tagged in which said rookie JuJu Smith-Schuster is a better player, Bryant wrote, "JuJu is no where near better than me fool. All they need to do is give me what I want and y'all can have JuJu and who ever else." That comment has since been deleted, but it all but confirms Bryant wants out. The trade deadline is October 31.

Judge Katherine Polk Failla denied the NFL's request to expedite Ezekiel Elliott's injunction hearing.

The hearing will be held next Monday (October 30), a day after the Cowboys face the Redskins. Elliott will be able to play in that game, but his future after that is in Judge Failla's hands. They are not going to help this week, but Alfred Morris and Darren McFadden are worth holding until this situation shakes out.

Tom Brady completed 21-of-29 passes for 249 yards with two touchdowns in New England's Week 7 win over Atlanta.

Both of Brady's touchdowns were easy first-half throws in the red-zone. He didn't need to do much with Atlanta's offense slumping, but played at a near-perfect level with only eight incompletions. Brady spread it around, with none of the Patriots' receivers going over 100 yards. He's now thrown for at least two touchdowns in consecutive games. Brady will be a midrange QB1 for Week 8 against the Chargers.

NFL Network's Ian Rapoport reports Colts first-round FS Malik Hooker is done for the season with a torn ACL and MCL suffered Week 7 against the Jaguars.

Brutal. The 15th overall pick in April's draft, Hooker had to be carted off the field Sunday, suggesting something serious like this was coming down the chute. An absolute ballhawk on the back end, Hooker picked off three passed his first six games before going down early in Week 7. Darius Butler and T.J. Green are going to have to fill in the rest of the way. Hooker should be ready by next year's training camp. The Colts are expected to get SS Clayton Geathers (neck, PUP) back soon.

Doug Baldwin snared nine catches for 92 yards and a touchdown on 12 targets Sunday in the Seahawks’ Week 7 win over the Giants.

Baldwin was hampered by a groin injury leading into the Seahawks’ Week 6 bye but looked refreshed and better than ever Sunday at MetLife Stadium, a venue where he has always thrived. The highlights included a 32-yard grab where he used a stutter step to gain separation from Janoris Jenkins and later a 22-yard touchdown versus Dominique Rodgers-Cromartie in the second half. Baldwin doesn’t have a great upcoming schedule with matchups looming against Josh Norman, Patrick Peterson and Jalen Ramsey a bit further down the line, but his track record suggests he’ll be able to maintain WR2 status through the worst of it. Baldwin gets the Texans at home in Week 8.
Oct 22 - 9:21 PM

Russell Wilson completed 27-of-39 passes for 334 yards and three touchdowns while adding 10 yards on two carries Sunday in the Seahawks’ Week 7 win over the Giants.

He was sacked one for a loss of 13 yards. The Seahawks snoozed through the first half but were brilliant after halftime as Wilson spread the wealth with three second-half touchdowns. He connected with Doug Baldwin on a 22-yard touchdown for his first score before uncorking another touchdown in the fourth quarter, this time on a 38-yard flea flicker to Paul Richardson. With the game already in hand, Wilson padded his stats by hitting Jimmy Graham for a two-yard score on his final play from scrimmage. Wilson could have had an even bigger day but overthrew a wide-open Baldwin on what would have been a 63-yard touchdown late in third quarter. Equipped with one of the league’s strongest arms and still mobile as ever, Wilson remains a near-impossible assignment for opposing defenses. He’ll get the Texans at home in Week 8.

Le'Veon Bell rushed 35 times for 134 yards while catching three passes for 58 yards in the Steelers' Week 7 win over the Bengals.

Even in a tough matchup, Bell couldn't be stopped as he consistently picked up chunks of yards all game. He also had a long 42-yard catch, stiff-arming CB Dre Kirkpatrick into the ground. Bell remains a matchup-proof running back with elite upside every week.

Browns LT Joe Thomas is believed to have suffered a torn triceps.

That would be a season-ending injury. A Monday MRI will confirm. The injury ended Thomas' historic snap streak at 10,363 on Sunday. His loss would further torpedo a Browns offense that's been completely unseemly.
Oct 22 - 7:55 PM

Andy Dalton completed 17-of-30 passes for 140 yards, two touchdowns, and two interceptions in the Bengals' Week 7 loss to the Steelers.

Dalton struggled under pressure as the Bengals' offensive line was a big mismatch for the Steelers' pass rush. He was sacked four times and pressured on many key 3rd downs, playing a part in the Bengals 27 percent 3rd down conversion rate. Dalton's interceptions both came from bouncing off his receivers hands and while neither were great throws, having them intercepted was unlucky. Despite flashing in coach Bill Lazor's new offensive scheme he's still wildly inconsistent.
