Rams agreed to terms with QB Shaun Hill, formerly of the Lions, on a one-year contract.

Hill, 34, visited the Rams in free agency's opening week and was always expected to sign with St. Louis. He makes his offseason home just a couple hours from St. Louis. Hill has attempted just 16 passes the past three seasons but boasts a 13-13 career record and an 85.9 passer rating. He'll run the first-team offense for however long Sam Bradford (ACL) is sidelined this spring.

Scout.com's Ben Standig reports Rob Kelley underwent surgery on his right knee following Washington's season-ending loss to the Giants.

Kelley suffered the injury in Week 16, played with a brace against the Giants, and had the knee operated on shortly after the loss. A source told Standig the surgery was "relatively minor" and "dealt with the meniscus." Kelley averaged just 3.33 yards per carry over the Redskins' final six games and showed next to no passing-game ability. He'll face competition for his starting job in 2017.

Chargers hired Gus Bradley as defensive coordinator.

Bradley previously flirted with the Redskins and drew interest from the 49ers. A Pete Carroll disciple, Bradley installed a Cover 3 scheme in Jacksonville and the defense was coming together nicely with a young talent core just as Bradley was fired. In Jason Verrett and Casey Hayward, and Joey Bosa, Bradley is inheriting a Chargers defense with some important building blocks in place.

Sports Illustrated's Mike Silver reports the 49ers are still pursuing Gus Bradley for their vacant defensive coordinator position.

Bradley had his sights set on reuniting with Tom Cable, but he recently withdrew his name from consideration for the Niners' head-coaching job. The Niners are reportedly "upping their offer" to Bradley, so it looks like they're fairly serious about bringing him on board. Bradley has also been linked to vacancies in San Diego and Washington this offseason.

Sammy Watkins underwent foot surgery on Friday, January 20.

The Buffalo News previously reported Watkins needed more surgery, so this note is just for bookkeeping purposes. The Bills announced the procedure and claimed Watkins should be ready for training camp in 2017. Watkins has now undergone two surgeries to address a Jones fracture in his foot. Not yet 24 years old, Watkins will need to overcome repeated early-career injury setbacks in order to realize his immense NFL ceiling.

Aaron Rodgers admitted to reporters that he felt under the weather on Friday.

"Rest fluids, all that stuff," Rodgers replied when asked what measures he's taken to deal with the illness. "We'll be okay. Jordy (Nelson) had it. Mason (Crosby) had it. I got it. We'll deal with it." Rodgers confirmed a flu or cold has been going around the team. It prevented Nelson from practicing on Friday. Rodgers did practice fully Friday and is not listed on the injury report.

Per ESPN Boston's Mike Reiss, Malcolm Mitchell's (knee, questionable) availability is "trending in the right direction" for Sunday's AFC Championship Game against the Steelers.

Reiss calls Mitchell's situation "unlike" last week, when "it was clear" Mitchell would not play. Michael Floyd struggled with timing and dropped passes in New England's playoff win over Houston and could conceivably lose playing time to a health Mitchell. Mitchell has not appeared in a game since Week 16.

SI's Greg Bedard said he noticed Chris Hogan (thigh, questionable) had a "solid limp" in the locker room on Friday.

Hogan is fully expected to suit up for Sunday's AFC title game against Pittsburgh, but it's fair to wonder how effective he'll be playing at less than 100 percent. With Hogan banged up and Malcolm Mitchell (knee) coming off a long layoff, the Patriots may need to lean even more than usual on Julian Edelman this week. They could also use more production from Martellus Bennett.

Updating a previous item, the Falcons listed Julio Jones (toe) as "limited" in Friday's practice.

Julio was listed as DNP on Wednesday and Thursday. Early-Friday reports had him returning to a full practice, but Julio was officially limited. Either way, Julio is going to play against the Packers. While his health remains a lingering question mark, Julio's mere presence on the field -- even if for some reason he isn't heavily targeted -- is a massive boon to Atlanta's offense.

NFL Network's Ian Rapoport reports the Browns have reached a "stalemate" in extension talks with restricted free agent Isaiah Crowell.

RapSheet contends the sides were in "heavy talks" at one point. It doesn't make much sense for the Browns to commit long term to Crowell when they can retain him with a cheap restricted free agent tender. Crowell is a solid runner who averaged 4.8 yards per carry this past season, but his monetary value is minimal as a two-down grinder who already has over 500 NFL carries under his belt.

Free agent Johnny Manziel says he achieved sobriety without professional assistance.

This will increase skepticism regarding Manziel's comeback attempt, which he announced this week after admitting he was "lost in the sauce" during his 2016 drug and alcohol binge. Manziel is only 24 days older than Carson Wentz.

Ladarius Green (concussion, illness) returned to practice on Friday.

Green didn't work with the first team and remains in the league's concussion protocol. He'll make the trip to Foxboro, but it's anyone's guess if he'll be out there against the Patriots. Green hasn't seen the field since Week 15. Jesse James would draw another start at tight end if Green misses Sunday's AFC title game. No one covering the Steelers expects Green to play.
