NFL Network's Ian Rapoport reports free agent DeSean Jackson "put word out" he was interested in joining the Raiders.

The feeling is mutual as Oakland reportedly began to investigate the possibility of adding Jackson more than a week ago. Jackson's interest makes sense. The Raiders were Jackson's favorite team growing up, and he played his college ball nearby at Cal. There are at least eight other teams also interested in Jackson's services.

DeShone Kizer completed 8-of-13 passes for 74 yards in the Browns' second preseason game Monday night.

Most of his damage was done with his legs, as Kizer rushed five times for 35 yards and a touchdown that came from one yard out on a sneak. While he did lead two scoring drives, Kizer wasn't all that impressive in this one. He held onto the ball too long at times, taking two sacks, and should have thrown a brutal interception on a third down in his own territory but the play was called back on a penalty. Brock Osweiler started and threw a pick on his two possessions of work. The quarterback spot remains a concern for Cleveland. Kizer probably isn't ready, but Osweiler is a known commodity who doesn't have accuracy and simply isn't good.

Odell Beckham's X-ray on his injured ankle came back negative.

The Giants say OBJ will "undergo further examination," but it's more confirmation that Beckham has apparently avoided serious injury. He came back out to the sideline for the start of the second half dressed in street clothes and walking without a noticeable limp. We can all exhale and take a deep breath.

Brandon Marshall is undergoing an X-ray on his shoulder.

It's unclear when the injury happened, as Marshall caught a short little out route pass on the final play of the first half and didn't appear to be injured on the play. He didn't come out after halftime with the starters done for the night. Marshall has long been one of the toughest receivers in the league.

Brock Osweiler completed 6-of-8 passes for 25 yards, no touchdowns, and one interception in the Browns' second preseason game against the Giants.

Osweiler got the start and played the first two series before giving way to rookie DeShone Kizer, who the Browns wanted to see get some work with the starters. Osweiler's first series ended with him throwing a red-zone interception off a tipped pass at the line. Despite being a towering 6-foot-7, tipped passes have long been a problem for Osweiler due to a long, looping delivery. Osweiler's completion percentage looks great, but his receivers had to adjust to a number of poorly thrown balls. Accuracy remains a massive problem. Cleveland doesn't stand much of a chance with Osweiler.

Leonard Fournette (foot) has been ruled out for the Jaguars' third preseason game.

It's a quick rule-out, but the Jaguars do play Thursday night on a short week. The third preseason game is viewed as the most important as the regular-season dress rehearsal, and it's unlikely Fournette will play in the fourth one. If he's done for the summer, Fournette will have played just 12 snaps. He said he'll play Week 1, but this is the same foot that hampered Fournette at LSU.

Seahawks acquired T/G Matt Tobin and a 2018 seventh-round pick from the Eagles in exchange for a 2018 fifth-round pick.

Seattle is scrambling for tackle options after losing George Fant. Tobin started at right guard for the 2015 Eagles, showing promise as a run blocker but getting destroyed in pass protection. He was demoted into a deep reserve role last season. Tobin should only be viewed as depth for the Seahawks.

According to NJ.com's Matt Lombardo, LeGarrette Blount has dealt with "weight issues" at Eagles camp, and has "disappointed" in practice.

Both Lombardo and NFL insider Adam Caplan have suggested Blount might not make the Eagles. Signed to a mere one-year, $1.25 million deal with next to no guarantees, Blount has reportedly been outplayed by Wendell Smallwood, and looked lost running out of the shotgun in Philly's second preseason game.

John Brown (quad) returned to Cardinals practice on Monday.

As Brown must attend an upcoming funeral, he was able to practice today and will meet the Cardinals in Atlanta for their third preseason game. It's unclear whether Brown will get snaps in the regular season dress rehearsal, but it does finally look like he's progressing. He remains a risky double-digit-round pick.

NFL Network's James Palmer suggests Jamaal Charles' performance in the Broncos' third preseason game could determine whether Charles makes the team.

Charles' long-balky knees will make their preseason debut in Denver's regular season dress rehearsal, where coach Vance Joseph promised Monday that Charles will play "a lot." Palmer calls it Charles' "one shot at making the Broncos' roster." Charles has no guaranteed money on his near-minimum deal, so the Broncos could cut ties without taking any financial loss should Charles struggle. They have rookie De'Angelo Henderson lined up as a change-of-pace fallback.

Speaking Monday after the Texans' second preseason game, coach Bill O'Brien said third-round RB D'Onta Foreman is "a long way off."

Foreman totaled 83 yards and a touchdown on Saturday night, but he didn't play until the second half, running behind Lamar Miller, Tyler Ervin, and Alfred Blue. "That's the second preseason game," O'Brien contextualized. "I know we've got him getting measured for a bust in Canton, but I would say that he's got a long way to go. He's got a lot of talent, but I think he's got a long way to go."

Philly Voice's Jimmy Kempski suggests Wendell Smallwood could win the Eagles' starting running back job.

Kempski calls it a "surprise development," but perhaps one Smallwood has earned by being "the best back in camp by a significant margin." While Smallwood beating out LeGarrette Blount now looks like a serious possibility, regardless of who wins the "starting job," Darren Sproles is likely to lead the backfield in snaps played. Blount is now looking like a fantasy pick to avoid.
