"Numerous league sources" tell CBS' Jason La Canfora the Falcons "remain very focused" on Jadeveon Clowney.

Both La Canfora and ESPN's Ed Werder reported earlier Thursday that the Falcons represented the Texans' best shot of trading out of the No. 1 spot. Thomas Dimitroff is perhaps the most aggressive general manager in the league, so it's entirely plausible that he has his eye on the draft's most-talented player, especially considering how limp the Falcons' pass rush was in 2013.

Dolphins exercised WR DeVante Parker's fifth-year team option for 2019.

This wasn't as clear cut in Parker's case as some other 2015 first-rounders, but always seemed more likely than not. The enigmatic fourth-year pro will now be due $9.4 million in 2019. That, of course, is guaranteed for injury only. Provided he can pass a physical at the start of the new league year, the Dolphins could move on from Parker without penalty if he struggles through another injury-prone and inconsistent campaign.

NFL.com's Ian Rapoport considers the Cardinals a "team to watch" when it comes to trading up for a quarterback.

Per Rapsheet, the Birds are "making a lot of noise about moving up." GM Steve Keim has spoke of the (obvious) need to find a franchise quarterback. The Cardinals, who are picking at No. 15, have average draft ammunition, with nine total picks, three of which are in the top 79. Moving up to the No. 5 or 6 spot might be too prohibitive, but Rotoworld's Josh Norris has the Cardinals landing UCLA's Josh Rosen at No. 10 in his latest mock draft.

Paul Perkins is dealing with a pectoral injury and was spotted with his left arm in a sling at Giants minicamp.

Perkins apparently suffered the injury training on his own. It's unclear how long he might be sidelined, though pectoral injuries can be 6-8 month affairs. Coming off a disappointing, injury-marred sophomore campaign, Perkins was already behind the eight ball when it came to earning 2018 work.

Rams exercised RB Todd Gurley's fifth-year team option for 2019.

After contending for the league's MVP award last season, Gurley is now set to make roughly $9.63 million in what will be the final year of his rookie contract in 2019. A prodigious talent freed from Jeff Fisher's anti-offense, 24-year-old (in August) Gurley should have another monster campaign in 2018.

Andrew Luck (shoulder) is not throwing at veteran minicamp.

"Not even to play catch during warmups," were the words of reporter George Bremer. It's hardly a surprise — GM Chris Ballard said four days ago Luck wasn't throwing — but is still notable. Luck hasn't thrown a live pass — exhibition or otherwise — since Jan. 1, 2017, which was 478 days ago. He turned 28 in the interim and turns 29 in September.

Giants coach Pat Shurmur said Odell Beckham will "absolutely" be with the team in 2018.

Everything suggests the Giants had real discussions about moving Beckham this offseason, but that possibility was all but put to bed when the Rams traded for Brandin Cooks. There has not been any indication the two sides have made progress on a long-term contract, but Beckham has shown good faith by reporting for the voluntary portions of the offseason program.

Mike Williams (back) said he feels "100 percent."

The No. 7 overall pick last year, Williams tweaked his back in rookie minicamp and never really recovered, catching a grand total of 11 passes in 10 games. He is healthy now, however, and out to prove he is not a bust. "I’m excited about this year to not only prove to everybody else, but prove to myself that I know who I am and what I can be," Williams said. "I’m looking to redeem myself and show everyone what I’m capable of doing." The sophomore will compete with Tyrell Williams for targets behind Keenan Allen.

NFL Network's Ian Rapoport reports the Giants have had trade talks about OT Ereck Flowers.

After being replaced in free agency, Flowers has been a no-show for the offseason program to this point. His time with the Giants seems up, and it would not be surprising to see him moved this weekend during the draft. If he sticks around, Flowers is expected to compete for the right tackle job.

ESPN's Adam Schefter was told Oklahoma QB Baker Mayfield is "definitely" in the running to be the No. 1 overall pick.

The Browns are keeping their cards close to the vest, so it is tough to tell what they will ultimately do with the first pick. They have been strongly linked with USC QB Sam Darnold, Wyoming QB Josh Allen, and now Mayfield, who Browns consultant Scot McCloughan has banged the drum for since last year. Even if Mayfield is not taken No. 1, he is expected to come off the board in the first five picks, with the Jets strong suitors at No. 3.

On his GM Street podcast, The Ringer's Mike Lombardi suggested Georgia RB Sony Michel could slip in the draft for medical reasons.

"There's a lot of teams telling me there's a medical concern here, so he could slip a little bit," said Lombardi, a longtime NFL executive who most recently worked for the Patriots. "His medical grade is a little iffy." Lombardi admitted he doesn't know exactly what the medical issue is. On tape, Michel is arguably the second-best running back in this class behind only Saquon Barkley.

The girlfriend of Cowboys DT David Irving has retracted domestic violence allegations she made against him.

Frisco (TX) police took the girlfriend's allegations seriously enough to launch an investigation, which will likely continue despite the woman's retraction. "I was very upset and made some allegations that were false," the woman clarified on Monday. "David did not put his hands on me at any time." Irving already has a checkered off-field history and is playing 2018 on a one-year tender.
