Chiefs signed first-round OLB Dee Ford to a four-year contract.

The deal includes a fifth-year club option for 2018. Ford posted 10.5 sacks and 14.5 tackles for loss in the SEC last season despite missing two games. He didn't participate at the Combine due to medical reasons, but ran 4.59 at his Pro Day with a 10-foot-4 broad jump and 29 bench press reps. Ford will be a sub-package rusher as a rookie and should push for a starting role in 2015.

Peyton Manning completed 22-of-26 passes for 318 yards and four touchdowns in Sunday night's 42-17 win over the 49ers.

Manning broke Brett Favre's career touchdown record with an eight-yard pass to Demaryius Thomas in the second quarter. He picked apart an injured 49ers secondary, finishing with just four incompletions. With the Broncos playing on a short turnaround next week, Manning was rested for Brock Osweiler in the fourth quarter. He's now up to 1,848 yards, 19 touchdowns, and three interceptions through six games. The Broncos take on the Chargers in Week 8.

According to CBS' Jason La Canfora, Fred Jackson (groin) will not play in Week 8.

La Canfora and NFL Network's Ian Rapoport are both reporting that Jackson could return in Week 10, following the Bills' Week 9 bye. We'll see. Jackson was in a ton of pain as he was carted off Sunday and serious soft-tissue injuries are hard for running backs to overcome. Rapoport says the "worst case" is a four-week injury. With C.J. Spiller (collarbone) out for the season, Bryce Brown and Anthony Dixon are the Bills' top-two backs heading into Week 8 against the Jets.

Odell Beckham caught four passes for 34 yards with two touchdowns in Sunday's Week 7 loss at Dallas.

In the first game since Victor Cruz's season-ending knee injury, Beckham impressed by playing just about every snap and operating all over the formation. His first touchdown came on a pretty route in which he roasted Brandon Carr for a 9-yard score. The second score was out of slot, as the rookie sat down in a zone and Eli Manning found him from five yards out. With explosive change-of-direction ability and strong hands, Beckham is quickly becoming a favorite of Eli. The only bad note is that the Giants have tough matchups after the bye: IND, SEA, SF.

Jamaal Charles rushed 22 times for 95 yards and a touchdown in Kansas City's Week 7 win over the Chargers, adding two catches for an additional 12 yards.

In the process, Charles passed Priest Holmes to become the Chiefs' all-time leading rusher. Holmes managed 6,070 yards on the ground as a Chief. Charles is now at 6,113. Charles took a thundering, mid-air hit from former teammate Brandon Flowers on his touchdown, but it was Flowers who ended up leaving the game with a concussion. Charles gets the Rams' soft run defense in Week 8.

Andre Ellington rushed 24 times for 88 yards and caught six balls for 72 yards in the Cardinals' Week 7 win over the Raiders.

After struggling a bit in the first half -- 10-34 on the ground -- Ellington was late coming out of the tunnel for the third quarter, reportedly nursing a rib injury. Stepfan Taylor started the second half and ran well before Ellington reentered to drop a critical third-down pass. Ellington retook his featured role for most of the final two quarters, putting Arizona's offense on his back on a highly productive third-quarter drive. Unfortunately, he was vultured by Taylor twice inside the Oakland five-yard line, as Taylor scored a two-yard rushing TD in addition to a four-yard receiving score on a speed out. Ellington missed snaps on the Cardinals' clock-killing possession late in the fourth quarter with cramping, but did return. He'll be a borderline RB1 when the Cardinals take on the Eagles in Week 8.

DeMarco Murray rushed 28 times for 128 yards with one touchdown in Sunday's Week 31-21 Week 7 win over the Giants.

Murray gave owners a scare when he rolled both of his ankles on a first-half run, but he returned and looked 100 percent. He's now gone over 100 yards in each of the season's first seven games, an NFL record. He's also on pace for an NFL record 427 carries along with 2,086 yards and 16 touchdowns. With Jermey Parnell handling himself well in place of RT Doug Free (ankle), this ridiculously dominant offense line will continue to let Murray eat weekly. He's a great bet to keep the 100-yard streak alive against the Redskins on Monday Night Football in Week 8.

A source tells PFT that C.J. Spiller (collarbone) is out for the season.

Spiller will have surgery Monday to repair a broken collarbone sustained in Sunday's win over the Vikings. It's awful timing, as he was just about to get a big chance with Fred Jackson suffering a serious groin injury. Instead, Spiller's wildly frustrating contract-year season ends with 69 carries for 287 yards (4.15 YPC) and zero rushing touchdowns in seven games. Bryce Brown and Anthony Dixon will move forward as the Bills' top-two backs.
Oct 19 - 6:57 PM

The Redskins fear OLB Brian Orakpo sustained a partially torn right pectoral in Sunday's win over the Titans.

Orakpo is going for an MRI Monday. Note that he tore his left pectoral in the 2011 regular season finale and then reinjured it in Week 2 of the 2012 season. Orakpo is playing on a one-year, $11.45M franchise tag.

A source tells ESPN that Brandon Marshall called out Jay Cutler following Sunday's loss to the Dolphins.

The Bears have lost three of their last four games and frustration is boiling over. Yelling could be heard from outside the locker room after the loss. The source told ESPN "there are some very selfish individuals in the locker room." Note that Marshall finished with 6-48-0 on 10 targets, but was barely involved at all in the first half. Former Bromance partner Cutler had his worst game of the season, throwing for just 190 yards with one touchdown and one interception.
Oct 19 - 5:52 PM

Coach Jim Caldwell said Reggie Bush's ankle was bugging him during Sunday's win over the Saints.

Bush finished with just nine touches against his old team and didn't play very much in the second half at all. It appears his ankle wasn't as close to 100 percent as it seemed coming into this one. The Lions have a flight to London Monday for a Week 8 game against the Falcons.
Oct 19 - 5:29 PM

Sammy Watkins had nine catches for 122 yards and two touchdowns in Sunday's Week 7 comeback win over the Vikings.

Watkins was matched up with Xavier Rhodes for most of the game, but beat Captain Munnerlyn for one of his touchdowns. He scored on a two-yard pass from Kyle Orton to give the Bills a win on the final play of the game. After being held in check by Darrelle Revis last week, Watkins was targeted 14 times and back to being the clear featured receiver. Watkins will be on the WR2 radar for Week 8 against the Jets.
