Redskins DE Jason Hatcher (knees) will miss this week's minicamp due to pain and swelling in both of his knees, but "hopes" to return to action for the start of training camp.

Hatcher, who signed a four-year, $27.5 million deal with the Redskins in March, needs an MRI on both knees. It's unclear when Hatcher got hurt. "He just said he had a little bit of pain, a little bit of swelling," coach Jay Gruden said. "So, we’re going to make sure we do the proper procedure as far as getting him checked out – MRI, X-ray and all that good stuff and make sure he’s good." Hatcher is a key piece for the Redskins to turn around a lackluster defense. He's expected to play base 4-technique and rush the passer from the interior in sub-packages.

Nate Ulrich of the Akron Beacon Journal reports Corey Coleman (broken hand) is expected to be placed on injured reserve.

That would cost the receiver at least eight weeks. Coleman was able to come back after just six weeks from a broken hand last season, but this one required surgery, perhaps extending the timetable. Kenny Britt would seem like the No. 1 receiver with Coleman sidelined, but he seems like he does not want to even be on the field right now. Rashard Higgins may end up emerging as the go-to option.

ESPN's Adam Schefter reports Jordy Nelson (quad) is "50-50" for Week 3 against the Bengals.

Nelson has avoided a serious injury, but it is still possible he is forced to miss a game. The news for Randall Cobb's shoulder injury is even better, and it does not sound like he will miss any time. Despite the scare on Sunday night, the Packers' receiver corps appears to still be intact.

Brandon Marshall caught 1-of-5 targets for 17 yards in the Giants' Week 2 loss to the Lions.

Marshall was held without a catch on one target in the first half and was stopped at the one-yard line on his lone grab in the third quarter. He later committed a flat-out brutal drop down the sideline on a play where he had a step on the cornerback for what should have been a gain of 30-plus yards. Marshall has no connection with Eli Manning right now and has just two catches for 27 yards through two games. He's closer to being droppable than usable in fantasy.

Ameer Abdullah rushed 17 times for 86 yards in the Lions' Week 2 win over the Giants.

The Lions haven't had a 100-yard rusher in a game since Reggie Bush in 2013. Abdullah came close with his career-best 86 on Monday, but he came up limping and grabbing his ankle after breaking off a 34-yarder late in the fourth quarter. He likely would have gotten to 100 if he'd been able to stay in. That seems to be the story of Abdullah's career, however. Abdullah played 29-of-62 snaps and dominated the rushing attempts again. He remains an RB3 due to his lack of red-zone and receiving work. Abdullah will get the Falcons at home in Week 3.

Odell Beckham caught 4-of-5 targets for 36 yards in the Giants' Week 2 loss to the Lions on Monday night.

Making his season debut after four weeks of rest following a preseason ankle injury, Beckham played just over 61% of the snaps, according to PFF's Nate Jahnke. He didn't start, and Beckham appeared to only be getting reps in meaningful situations like third downs and in the red zone. The one pass OBJ didn't reel in was a bad drop on a fourth down in the fourth quarter with the Giants down by two touchdowns. Beckham appeared to avoid setbacks and will be a WR1 next week at the Eagles.

Matthew Stafford completed 15-of-21 passes for 122 yards and two touchdowns in the Lions' 24-10, Week 2 win over the Giants on Monday night.

Per Profootballtalk's Michael David Smith, the 122 yards is Stafford's second-lowest mark of his career. Stafford only had to throw four passes after halftime with the Lions holding control of this game for the entire second half. His first touchdown was a beauty of a back-shoulder fade to Marvin Jones from 27 yards out, and the second was a short red-zone score to a wide-open Eric Ebron, who was dusting the Giants' linebackers and safeties all night. Stafford has a 6:1 TD:INT mark through two games and gets the Falcons at home in a potential Week 3 shootout.

Odell Beckham (ankle) is active for Week 2 against the Lions.

Beckham went through an extensive warmup routine before the game and is ready to make his 2017 debut. He's very likely not 100 percent, but OBJ is a must-start in all formats and all league sizes. Even at less than his best, Beckham is a WR1 dripping with upside in an offense that goes through him.

CBS Sports' Jason La Canfora reports the Giants and WR Odell Beckham are both open to an in-season contract extension.

Most teams and players don't like to negotiate during the season. Beckham is under team control through 2018, but he's massively underpaid at just $1.839 million this season. Talk of a contract has been in the media for months now, though the two sides don't appear close to anything at all right now. OBJ is expected to reset the market at his position as a 25-year-old.

Will Fuller (collarbone) returned to practice on Monday.

It's a potential sign Fuller could return for Week 3. The Houston Chronicle reported in early August that Fuller would likely miss "2-3 months," but Fuller is an elite athlete in optimal condition, and he is capable of beating a lengthy timetable like that. Either way, he's not much of a fantasy consideration.

The Redskins announced Monday that SS Su'a Cravens will not play this season.

Cravens has an absolutely brutal injury history, including a scary track record of concussions. He is presently considering retirement. The Skins will move forward with some combination of D.J. Swearinger, Montae Nicholson, and DeShazor Everett at safety. DeAngelo Hall can come off the PUP list in Week 7.

The Packers view Randall Cobb as day to day after an MRI came back negative on his shoulder.

NFL Network's Ian Rapoport is calling the injury "nothing major." Cobb left Sunday night's game in the fourth quarter. It sounds like he'll be ready for Week 3 against the Bengals, but we'll have to monitor him throughout the week.
