Falcons signed WR Jeremy Ebert.

A seventh-round journeyman, Ebert caught three passes across six games for the Jaguars last season. If he has any shot at cracking the Falcons' 53-man roster, it's as a special teamer who can man the final wideout spot in a pinch.

Cowboys selected Notre Dame OLB Jaylon Smith with the No. 34 overall pick in the 2016 draft.

Titans selected Clemson OLB Kevin Dodd with the No. 33 overall pick in the 2016 NFL draft.

Dodd (6'5/277) was overshadowed by Shaq Lawson entering his senior year but broke out all the same, exploding for 23.5 tackles for loss and 12 sacks in his lone season as a starter. Dodd terrorized Alabama's defensive line in January's national title game, amassing five TFLs and three sacks. Dodd will be a 24-year-old rookie and his measurable athleticism is ordinary — 4.86 forty, 9-foot-2 broad jump — but he atones with elite length (34-inch arms) and a non-stop motor. The arrow is pointing up on Dodd, who was needed in Tennessee after Dick LeBeau's defense collapsed after Derrick Morgan's shoulder injury last year.

Browns selected Oklahoma State DE/OLB Emmanuel Ogbah with the No. 32 overall pick in the 2016 NFL draft.

Ogbah (6'4/273) earned 2015 co-Big 12 Defensive Player of the Year, setting a school record for quarterback hurries and logging 28 sacks in 36 career starts. Ogbah shredded the Combine, ranking top three among defensive linemen in the forty (4.63), broad jump (10'1"), and vertical (35.5"). Ogbah has go-go-gadget arms (35 1/2") and shows an ability to convert his speed into power, but is too frequently washed out in run defense and shows a limited array of pass-rush moves. Each of the analytics-minded Browns' first two draft picks have checked boxes for both high-level college production and high-level measurables.

ESPN Cowboys reporter Todd Archer confirmed Dallas will not trade up from the 34th pick.

A report surfaced that Dallas was looking to swing a deal with Cleveland for the No. 32 pick but ESPN's Ed Werder poured water on that rumor a few hours ago. Now Archer has confirmed that Dallas will indeed stand pat at No. 34. The Cowboys are fully expected to draft a pass rusher with Clemson's Kevin Dodd and Eastern Kentucky's Noah Spence both potential targets.

Dr. James Andrews told UCLA LB Myles Jack he will not need microfracture surgery.

Andrews first examined Jack's knee in December. Jack seemed uncertain about whether he'd need surgery when discussing it earlier this week, but Andrews doesn't see the injury as a long-term issue. Other teams may feel differently but Andrews is well-respected in sports medicine and his name carries weight. It would be a surprise if Jack isn't one of the first names announced on Day 2.

NFL Network's Mike Silver reports the Rams "would also listen" to trade offers for Case Keenum, in addition to Nick Foles.

The Rams are going to move one of these quarterbacks after selecting Cal QB Jared Goff at No. 1 overall on Thursday night. They'd definitely prefer to keep Keenum as the veteran clipboard-holder, but he's also the one other teams would probably rather acquire. Foles was atrocious last season and has a bad contract. The Rams would likely take a late-rounder for either player.

NFL Network's Ian Rapoport reports the Cowboys are "attempting" to acquire the No. 32 overall pick from the Browns.

According to RapSheet, the Cowboys' "likely target" is a pass rusher. Rotoworld draft guru Josh Norris' top available edge rusher left on the board is Eastern Kentucky's Noah Spence. Spence has some off-field issues related to drugs, so maybe the Cowboys, who have already lost their two starting ends to suspensions, will shy away from him. Either way, they need help off the edge.

Coach Jeff Fisher said the "goal" is for No. 1 pick Jared Goff to be the Week 1 starting quarterback.

As expected. The Rams don't have the luxury to sit their first-round quarterback behind a quality veteran stopgap like the Eagles do with Sam Bradford and Carson Wentz. And that certainly played into the Rams' decision between Goff and Wentz. Wentz may have the higher long-term ceiling, but Goff is viewed by most as the more pro-ready prospect. Case Keenum will hold the clipboard, while the Rams attempt to unload Nick Foles either this draft weekend or this summer.

Ravens CB Jimmy Smith will undergo a second surgery on his surgically-repaired foot this week to remove the screws from the first procedure.

This helps explain why GM Ozzie Newsome tried so hard to trade up to No. 4 for Jalen Ramsey. The Ravens "hope" Smith will only miss 4-6 weeks. If so, Smith should be ready for training camp. But it's obviously a concern after Smith didn't play well at all last season coming off of a Lisfranc fracture.

Jets GM Mike Maccagnan does not "envision" trading franchise-tagged DE Muhammad Wilkerson.

Because any team trading for him would want assurances on a long-term contract, this is not the kind of deal teams can work out while on the clock. With little trade action to this point, it is unlikely the Jets find an acceptable offer before the second-round opens Friday night. The two sides have until July 15 to work out a long-term deal, but it feels more likely Wilkerson plays out 2016 under the tag.

Broncos GM John Elway confirmed the team will no longer pursue Colin Kaepernick after drafting Memphis QB Paxton Lynch with the 26th overall pick.

They'll also be out of the running for Sam Bradford. The Kaepernick trade had legs a few weeks back but talks had died down recently and now the Broncos have a potential franchise quarterback in Lynch. It remains to be seen if Kaepernick can patch things up with San Francisco after demanding a trade earlier this offseason. Per Jason La Canfora of CBS Sports, some teams think the 49ers will simply cut him.
