Lions DL coach Jim Washburn believes RE Ziggy Ansah "can be an elite player at some point in time."

"He’s got real potential," Washburn continued. "He’s got elite potential, he’s just got to do it." Ansah has been sidelined throughout the offseason and during training camp as he recovers from shoulder surgery. He may miss most of camp, but should be ready for the opener. Under new DC Teryl Austin, Ansah is expected to move around more. But he's going to get after the quarterback.

Thomas Rawls had 15 carries for 106 yards and two touchdowns and caught one pass for 12 yards in Seattle's Week 13 win over the Panthers.

Rawls did all his damage early, with just three of his yards coming after halftime. Both of his touchdowns were highlight runs. Rawls hurdled into end-zone from eight yards out for his first score, and made a nice cut outside for a 45-yard TD. The Seahawks briefly checked Rawls for a concussion but he only missed a few series. Even with a matchup against the Packers run defense, Rawls is a borderline RB1 for Week 14.

Panthers coach Ron Rivera told NBC that Cam Newton's one-play benching on Sunday was the result of a "dress code violation."

Rivera cost his team three points because Newton didn't wear a tie (seriously). Derek Anderson's tipped-ball interception on the game's opening play was a "ball don't lie" if there ever was one. Rivera likely snapped after a year of Russell Westbrook-esque fashion offenses from Newton following games. We're guessing the ol' ball coach won't make the same mistake twice.

Thomas Rawls left Week 13 against the Panthers with a possible concussion.

Rawls went to the locker room after a helmet to helmet hit late in the second quarter. He passed the league's protocol and returned after halftime.

Seahawks FS Earl Thomas was carted off with a cracked tibia in Week 13 against the Panthers.

Thomas went down on a low collision with SS Kam Chancellor. He was trying to intercept a pass from Cam Newton on the play. Thomas had to be carried off the field and was later carted off. He's likely out for the season and playoffs. Thomas is a candidate to be placed on IR next week.

Doug Martin said after Sunday's win over the Chargers that he missed the Bucs' final three drives because he got "bent back" late in the game.

This is the extent of the information available on why Martin didn't play on the Bucs' final three drives. The Bucs turned to Jacquizz Rodgers, who finished with nine touches and handled all of Tampa Bay's clock-killing carries in Sunday's 28-21 road-game win. We suspect Martin will be fine for Week 14.

Le'Veon Bell cruised to 118 yards on 29 carries while snagging six-of-seven targets for 64 yards Sunday in the Steelers' Week 13 win over the Giants.

He also threw an incomplete pass (don’t ask us how or why). Bell was stymied in the first half, producing just 31 yards on 11 rushes. But of course, Le’Veon saved the best for last. Bell went bonkers in the second half with 87 yards on 18 carries, though he did lose a fumble that eventually led to a Giants touchdown. As usual, he was heavily involved in the passing game. Even when he isn’t finding the end zone (Sunday broke his three-game touchdown streak), Bell continues to be a dominant force in PPR. Aside from possibly David Johnson, no running back has a higher weekly floor than Bell. Look for him to have another monster game next week at Buffalo.

ESPN Rams reporter Alden Gonzalez reports the team "still could part ways" with coach Jeff Fisher after the season despite him signing a two-year extension.

"7-9er" may be giving Fisher too much credit based on how this pitiful team has played this season. The Rams just lost by double-digits again on Sunday, falling to 4-8 with four games left to play and the Falcons coming to town next. According to various media outlets and Fisher himself, the extension was signed well before the season started. The Rams were expected to contend for a playoff spot in their first season back in L.A., but they're closer to being the worst team in football than being a playoff squad. Fisher is on his way to becoming the losingest coach in NFL history, and owner Stan Kroenke might be getting antsy after Fisher picked a fight with Hall of Famer Eric Dickerson earlier this week, causing the fan base to call for Fisher's head. It's not set in stone that Fisher will be back in 2017. Kroenke has deep enough pockets to pay him to leave.

Jamison Crowder suffered a hip pointer Week 13 against the Cardinals.

It is unclear when Crowder suffered the injury as he was in on the final offensive play of the game. Considering he played through the issue, he should be fine moving forward, but he could miss some practice time this week. Crowder had an inefficient game, but he looked healthy shaking Tony Jefferson down the seam on his 26-yard touchdown. He also could have had another long gain, but Kirk Cousins threw behind him on the game-sealing interception. Crowder finished with three catches for 42 yards and the score. If Jordan Reed remains out and Crowder is healthy, he will be a borderline WR2 against the Eagles.

Ladarius Green delivered six catches for a career-high 110 yards and one touchdown on 11 targets Sunday in the Steelers' Week 13 win over the Giants.

After seeing limited snaps in his first few games, the training wheels came off for Green on Sunday. With the Giants putting all their time and energy into shutting down Antonio Brown, Green had free reign on Sunday. He was seemingly wide open on every pass that was thrown to him, breaking off gains of 37, 33 and 20 yards. Landon Collins missed his assignment on Green’s only touchdown of the afternoon, which came late in the third quarter. We’ve been cautious not to overhype Green coming off a lengthy injury, but after Sunday’s explosion, it’s hard not to acknowledge his potential. Green will be in the TE1 conversation next week at Buffalo.
Dec 4 - 8:23 PM

Tyrell Williams caught 2-of-4 targets for 47 yards and a touchdown in the Chargers' Week 13 loss to the Bucs.

It was a quiet day for The Gazelle, who was catch-less until he caught a 40-yard touchdown bomb off play action in the fourth quarter, beating Bucs LCB Brent Grimes. Williams had a goose egg at halftime. Playing through a torn labrum in his shoulder, Williams may be a risky fantasy bet the rest of the way. He does draw a favorable matchup in Week 14 against the Panthers.
Dec 4 - 7:54 PM

Larry Fitzgerald hauled in 10-of-11 targets for 78 yards in the Cardinals' Week 13 win over the Redskins.

Fitzgerald was the only receiver doing anything early, racking up five catches for 59 yards including a great catch-and-run in the two-minute drill in the first half. He kept it going after the break, adding another five catches including some big third-down conversions. Fitz also drew a third-down-converting penalty on Josh Norman on the game-sealing touchdown drive. Still going strong at the back-end of a spectacular career, Fitzgerald became the youngest player to reach 1,100 catches in NFL history on Sunday while jumping both Cris Carter and Marvin Harrison for third on the all-time list. The Canton-bound receiver will be a back-end WR1 next week in Miami.
