ESPN's Chris Mortensen reports Johnny Manziel was late to a team meeting on Monday.

Mort is under the impression Manziel and a few other Browns rookies simply "misread the schedule," but it's believed Johnny Football was fined. Adam Schefter reported Thursday night that there "seems to be a feeling within the organization that Brian Hoyer wins" the Browns' starting job "in the event of a tie." Schefter believes Cleveland's second preseason game will essentially decide the battle, because all along the plan has been to pick a starter before the third exhibition game. There are no indications that Manziel's tardiness will play a role in coach Mike Pettine's quarterback decision.

A source tells the Miami Herald that Lamar Miller (knee) will play in Sunday's game at Denver.

Miller's shoulder is not thought to be a real concern anymore, but he did pop up with a knee injury sustained in practice this week. It sounds like nothing to be overly concerned with. Miller was able to practice on a limited basis both Thursday and Friday, and the Herald's sources have been spot on with injuries this season. Owners can pencil Miller in as a low-end RB2 for Sunday's 4:25pm ET start.

The Houston Chronicle's John McClain "would be surprised" if Arian Foster (groin) is able to play Week 12 against the Bengals.

This meshes with other reports throughout the weekend. Foster was unable to practice all week and is expected to miss his second straight game. It'll be the Alfred Blue show once again this week after he racked up 36 carries in Week 11 against the Browns. Expect another heavy workload with Jonathan Grimes pitching in as the change-of-pace. Blue shapes up as a borderline RB1/2.
Nov 23 - 9:24 AM

NFL Network's Ian Rapoport reports Julius Thomas (ankle) will be "a true game-time decision."

Not even Thomas knows if he'll be playing yet, according to RapSheet. Thomas didn't practice at all this week. If he plays, expect him to be limited against the Dolphins. Owners need to make other plans with the 4:25 PM ET kickoff. Jacob Tamme would start for Thomas, but makes for a weak replacement.
Nov 23 - 9:15 AM

Jonas Gray is expected to be active for Week 12 against the Lions despite oversleeping and missing Friday's practice.

LeGarrette Blount will also be active for the Patriots after being signed earlier in the week. New England will "divvy up" the carries between the two big backs, while Shane Vereen will also play heavy snaps. We're avoiding both Gray and Blount in fantasy against Detroit's stout interior run defense. Vereen is a fine RB2/FLEX option with the Lions allowing backs to catch the ball in space.
Nov 23 - 9:03 AM

ESPN's Adam Schefter was informed by a league source that Josh Gordon will play 20-30 snaps in his Week 12 debut against the Falcons.

NFL Network's Ian Rapoport adds Gordon "will either start or be in quickly" with the Browns rotating him "in and out," yet they're open to playing Gordon more "if he's feeling good." Gordon can do damage on 20-30 snaps, though we might take the over on this. Browns-Falcons could be a shootout, but Cleveland could try and slow the pace by leaning on its run game. It's a volatile situation. Gordon is a must-start in season-long leagues, but is more of a tournament than cash play in DFS.
Nov 23 - 8:54 AM

CBS Sports' Jason La Canfora reports Reggie Bush (questionable, ankle) is not expected to play in Week 12.

Bush practiced on a limited basis this week, but still isn't ready to return from his ankle injury. Theo Riddick will continue to replace him as the Lions' passing down back, and is on the RB3/FLEX radar. Bush should have a decent chance of returning in Week 13. Joique Bell will be a mid-range RB2 against the Patriots.
Nov 22 - 5:39 PM

According to the Tampa Bay Times, Doug Martin (questionable, ankle) got "many of the reps with the first team during drills."

Martin missed the last three games with his ankle injury. He returns to a backfield that was dominated by third-round rookie Charles Sims last week, and also has Bobby Rainey available. Martin should have an opportunity to regain a role, although he's been among the worst backs in the league since the start of last season. The Bucs run-scheme has been a disaster under rookie OC Marcus Arroyo, and rank last in the NFC with just 217 attempts. We might get more clarity by the time Sunday inactives are announced, but for now Sims is a risky RB3 only.
Nov 22 - 4:18 PM

ESPN Texans reporter Tania Ganguli said the chances Arian Foster (groin, questionable) plays Week 12 against the Bengals are "very, very low."

Foster did not practice on Thursday or Friday. The Texans are still calling Foster a "game-time decision," but every indication is Foster will miss his second straight game. Alfred Blue saw 36 carries as Foster's replacement Week 11. He will be a borderline RB1 against the Bengals' struggling run defense.
Nov 22 - 8:51 AM

Arian Foster (groin) didn't practice on Friday and is listed as questionable for Week 12 against the Bengals.

Foster didn't practice on Thursday or Friday. The Texans continue to claim he'll be a "game-time decision," but at this point it would be a major surprise if he played. Look for Alfred Blue to continue to carry the mail in Houston's backfield. Jonathan Grimes will be the third-down and change-of-pace back.

FOX Sports' Mike Garofolo reports Jonas Gray was late to the Patriots' facility on Friday because he overslept.

Per Garofolo, Gray's "phone died," which he was ostensibly relying upon as an alarm. He drove straight to Gillette Stadium, but was promptly sent home by the Patriots' coaching staff. Garofolo reports Gray has texted teammates to apologize, including Tom Brady. He is "hoping" to get Bill Belichick to hear his side of the story "this afternoon." We wish young Jonas the best of luck.

Adrian Peterson's suspension appeal hearing has been scheduled for December 2.

His appeal will be heard by Harold Henderson, not Roger Goodell. Henderson also heard Josh Gordon's suspension appeal, which resulted in a ten-game ban as opposed to a full-season ban. Perhaps this creates a glimmer of hope Peterson will play in a few games late in the season. After December 2, the Vikings face the Jets in Week 14, the Lions in Week 15, and the Dolphins in fantasy title week.
