Saints waived/injured WR Andy Tanner, OT Ty Nsekhe, and S Ty Zimmerman.

It's all part of the process of getting the roster down to 75.

Michael Cohen of the Milwaukee Journal-Sentinel expects the Packers to lighten Ty Montgomery's workload going forward.

The Packers were careful to monitor Julius Peppers' reps when he was with the team last year and Cohen believes the coaching staff is "surely having similar conversations" about Montgomery's usage. Montgomery has played more snaps than any running back in the league so far, a fact that has not gone unnoticed by coach Mike McCarthy. "By no means have we come out and established the rhythm and moved in and out of different personnel groups that we may have liked to in Weeks 1 and 2," he said. "So, I’m definitely aware of it and that’s what game plans are for." Even if the Packers do scale back Montgomery's workload some, he should remain a borderline RB1 in most formats.

Jordy Nelson (quad) expects to play in Sunday's game against the Bengals.

Nelson's status was looking questionable after sitting out the entire second half last week, but he's on track to play after practicing in full. He should be active barring a setback, though expectations should be downgraded at less than 100 percent. The Packers are trending up with Nelson and RT Bryan Bulaga looking likely to return. Randall Cobb (chest) didn't practice Wednesday and is more up in the air for Week 3.

Jordan Howard (shoulder) was limited in Wednesday's practice.

It's actually a good sign after Howard was spotted with his arm in a sling following Sunday's loss to the Bucs. It puts Howard on track to suit up this weekend, though his workload and effectiveness will be up in the air against the Steelers' stout defense. Even in standard leagues, Tarik Cohen is the fantasy play for Week 3.

Eagles LG Chance Warmack is expected to start Week 3 against the Giants.

With Isaac Seumalo struggling, Warmack is taking first-team practice reps this week. Warmack opened the season as a healthy scratch, but the Eagles are clearly still high on him after giving him a one-year extension earlier this month. Philly is hoping Warmack can upgrade a run game that's been an afterthought through two games. Warmack missed 14 games to injury in 2016, but has started every game of his career.

Jets coach Todd Bowles said it's too early to tell if TE Austin Seferian-Jenkins will be active this week.

Seferian-Jenkins is eligible to return from suspension, but is reportedly out of shape after his two-week layoff. With Jordan Leggett and Eric Tomlinson dealing with injuries, the Jets may be forced to play him despite his conditioning. Seferian-Jenkins looks likely to be on a snap count if active. He should be avoided as a Week 3 streamer.
Sep 20 - 6:10 PM

Demaryius Thomas (hamstring) was limited at Wednesday's practice.

It's a new injury for Thomas, who caught 6-of-8 targets for 71 yards last week. The limited practice suggests he's on track to play, but any hamstring issue is a concern. Thomas has a matchup with Buffalo in Week 3.
Sep 20 - 5:39 PM

Gerald Everett (thigh) is questionable for Week 3 against the 49ers.

Everett didn't practice Monday, but was limited the last two days. He'll likely come down to a game-time decision after leaving in the third quarter last week. Everett broke out for a season-high 95 yards before going down, but is a Week 3 fade at less than 100 percent.
Sep 20 - 5:24 PM

Updating an earlier report, Rob Gronkowski (groin) did not practice on Wednesday.

He was seen working on his blocking technique with fellow tight end Dwayne Allen at Wednesday's practice, but the Patriots still listed him as a DNP. Gronk has downplayed his injury since Sunday. Nothing can be taken for granted given his lengthy injury history, but we're still counting on Gronk to be available for Week 3.
Sep 20 - 5:22 PM

Corey Davis (hamstring) has been ruled out for Week 3.

The early rule out comes as a surprise after Davis played through a mid-game setback last week. Coach Mike Mularkey said Davis was day to day, but the Titans want to rest him in an effort to get fully healthy. Davis will target a Week 4 return.
Sep 20 - 5:16 PM

Jordy Nelson (quad) is practicing in full for Week 3 against the Bengals.

It's a great sign after Nelson missed most of Sunday night's game. He's ahead of Randall Cobb (shoulder), who was held out of practice. ESPN's Adam Schefter reported Nelson only has a 50-percent chance to play this week, but he's trending in the right direction.

DeMarco Murray (hamstring) didn't practice on Wednesday.

Neither did Corey Davis (hamstring), who has already been ruled out for Sunday's game against Seattle. Derrick Henry erupted for a career-high 92 yards in Week 2 and would carry the load if Murray is absent for Week 3.
