Josh Norman (ribs, lung) announced he'll be sidelined four weeks.

NFL Network's Ian Rapoport offered confirmation. Norman has a broken rib and damage to the lining of his lung. The Redskins are on their bye week before dates with Pierre Garcon, Alshon Jeffery, and Dez Bryant in Weeks 6-8.

Dolphins DE Andre Branch is out indefinitely with a knee injury.

Branch is a low-impact player, but his loss combined with William Hayes' ACL tear severely strips Miami's previously-impressive defensive line depth. Hayes was off to a hot start with two sacks while playing strong run defense. Pro Football Focus credited Branch with four quarterback hurries in the first two games.

Colts RT Joe Haeg is out for a "few weeks" with an ankle injury.

As J'Marcus Webb was already lost for the season, this puts the Colts down to their third-string right tackle. It sounds like Haeg is dealing with a high ankle sprain. J.J. Watt should be licking his chops for Sunday's game.

Coach Sean McDermott said Monday that LeSean McCoy (ribs) is "progressing well."

He also called McCoy "day to day," and that was the extent of McDermott's updates on McCoy's status. Coming off a stunning Week 3 upset win at Minnesota, the Bills visit Green Bay this week. Chris Ivory and Marcus Murphy handled running back duties against the Vikings with McCoy on the shelf.

Cardinals coach Steve Wilks announced Monday that Josh Rosen will start at quarterback going forward.

Sam Bradford looked ready for retirement in Weeks 1-3 and was benched with 4:34 left in the fourth quarter of Sunday's loss to Chicago. Rosen flashed some ability to move the offense on quick throws before his game-ending pick. Rosen will make his first NFL start in Week 4 versus Seattle. He could become an option in two-quarterback leagues but won't be a QB1 streamer anytime soon.

The 49ers are working out free agent Tom Savage.

The Niners are grasping at straws after losing Jimmy Garoppolo (ACL). One of the least-mobile quarterbacks in modern NFL history, Savage failed to make the Saints' 53-man roster in training camp. C.J. Beathard will be the 49ers' starter for the foreseeable future, unless of course he plays his way out of it.

Bengals coach Marvin Lewis declined to update A.J. Green's (groin) status at his Monday press conference.

Lewis was apparently in a foul mood when he addressed the media. For his part, Green has said he expects to play in Week 4. Players are always optimistic about playing through injury. We seem unlikely to get a real clue as to Green's status before Wednesday's practice report.

The New York Daily News reports the Jets have "reached out" to the Steelers about acquiring holdout unsigned franchise player Le'Veon Bell.

Per reporter Manish Mehta, the Jets have "not made a concrete offer," but they believe the Steelers are "serious" about trading their running back. ESPN's Adam Schefter first reported Bell was available on Sunday. The Jets are the first team to be linked.

Leonard Fournette (hamstring) remains day to day.

At least that's what coach Doug Marrone claimed on Monday. Marrone now has a two-year track record of not being truthful about Fournette's health. We would like to believe our first clue as to Fournette's Week 4 status would come when the Jags return to practice on Wednesday, but even that has not been instructive in Fournette's case.

ESPN's Adam Schefter reports an MRI has confirmed Jimmy Garoppolo's initial diagnosis of a torn left ACL.

Garoppolo is also believed to have MCL damage, but that's yet to be confirmed. That would threaten to delay his surgery. It's the worst news the 49ers could have gotten this season. Garoppolo's play was a little shakier than it was in 2017, but he was still performing at a high level with obvious room for improvement. His loss essentially pauses the 49ers' rebuild. 2018 is going to have a hard time not feeling like a wasted year in San Francisco. 2017 third-rounder C.J. Beathard will finish the year under center. When he's next in the huddle, Garoppolo will be 27 years old with just 10 career starts.

Bears WR Anthony Miller is "day to day" with a dislocated left shoulder.

Miller played through the injury against the Cardinals before being forced to the sideline in the third quarter. Miller missed a season in college with a right shoulder injury. Miller is a promising prospect in the slot but production has been hard to come by with Mitchell Trubisky at quarterback.

Jaguars slot CB D.J. Hayden is week to week with a sprained toe.

Hayden missed Week 3 and is looking doubtful for Week 4. Tyler Patmon took Hayden's place against the Titans.
