Bengals placed TE Tyler Eifert on injured reserve with a back injury.

Eifert has opted for season-ending surgery to repair his injured back. The surgery comes with a 4-6 month recovery. An impending free agent, the injury-prone Eifert may have to settle for a reduced price on the open market this offseason.

Tevin Coleman (concussion) did not practice Tuesday.

It is not a surprise after he was placed in the concussion protocol following the game on Thursday. The good news is the Falcons do not play until Monday night, so he has a better chance than most to be cleared in time. Atlanta will release their first practice report on Thursday.

Steelers coach Mike Tomlin said CB Joe Haden (broken leg) will return to practice this week.

Haden has been out with a fractured fibula since Week 10. This does not mean he will definitely return this week, but it is a step in the correct direction. With the No. 1 seed on the line against New England, the Steelers could certainly use Haden back in the lineup on Sunday.

NFL Network's Ian Rapoport reports "it's difficult to predict" if Aaron Rodgers (collarbone) will play Week 15 against the Panthers.

Rapoport reports Rodgers' broken collarbone is not fully healed, but it was not expected to be by this point. As long as it is "80-percent healed," Rodgers could be cleared to play, but Rapoport adds there are people in the organization who are not interested in risking a re-injury for a small chance at a playoff berth. That is not surprising considering how cautious the Packers usually are with injuries. At best, Rodgers looks 50-50 to suit up this weekend.

Steelers placed ILB Ryan Shazier (back surgery) on injured reserve.

The Steelers are just making it official after Shazier underwent spinal stabilization surgery last week. His football future is in question, but his long-term health is the main concern right now.

Chiefs coach Andy Reid said CB Marcus Peters (suspension) is "ready to roll."

Peters was suspended for a game after losing his cool late in the Week 13 loss to the Jets, but that will be the extent of his discipline. "The suspension is over and now he’s back," Reid said. "For whatever wrong took place, he paid that price and now he’s back and I expect nothing but the best for him." Darrelle Revis played surprisingly well in Peters' absence against the Raiders. If that continues, the Chiefs could suddenly have a solid corner duo.

Redskins S Su'a Cravens (concussion, exempt/left squad list) has been medically cleared to return to football.

In a confusing couple weeks, Cravens flirted with retirement in September before ultimately stepping away from the team for the season. His agent says he was suffering from post-concussion syndrome during that episode, but he has undergone treatment and is "looking forward to the 2018 NFL season." A second-round pick in 2016, Cravens has a long and scary history with concussions.

Devin Hester announced his retirement after 11 seasons in the NFL.

Hester hinted he was done after the Seahawks lost to the Falcons in the Divisional Round in January, but he is finally making it official. One of the best return men to ever lace them up, Hester retires owning the record for career punt return touchdowns (14) and career non-offensive touchdowns (20) as well as the third-most punt return yards (3,695) in NFL history. Most of that damage was done with the Bears, who drafted him in the second round of the 2006 draft. Hester finishes his career with three All-Pro nods and four Pro Bowls.

Rams coach Sean McVay said Robert Woods is "on track" to play Week 15 against the Seahawks.

The coach added the obligatory barring "any setbacks" qualifier, but Week 15 has been the target for Woods all along. While it is always wise to exercise caution with players returning from injury, Woods had established himself as a must-start option before going down. That will remain the case against Seattle.

Jay Cutler completed 25-of-38 passes for 263 yards and three touchdowns in the Dolphins' Week 14 win over the Patriots.

Cutler played his best game of the season so far, threading the Patriots secondary with ease. His receivers got open at will against the Patriots man defense. He threw two short touchdowns to Jarvis Landry as well as a 25-yarder to Jakeem Grant. Despite turning in a good performance this week, Cutler won't be more than a mid-range QB2 against Buffalo in Week 15.
Dec 12 - 12:49 AM

Jarvis Landry caught 8-of-8 targets for 46 yards and two touchdowns in the Dolphins' Week 14 win over the Patriots.

Landry played a big part in the Dolphins' win over the Patriots, especially his red zone efficiency. His first touchdown came on a play-action bootleg from five yards out. His second touchdown came from four yards out where he successfully sat in between two linebackers in the Patriots zone. Landry has an easy matchup against the Bills defense in Week 15.
Dec 12 - 12:33 AM

Kenyan Drake rushed 25 times for 114 yards and caught 5-of-6 targets for 79 yards in the Dolphins' Week 14 win over the Patriots.

Drake looked electric as the Dolphins' workhorse. On two occasions he dodged an unblocked blitzing player behind the line of scrimmage and ran for a big gain. The Dolphins took advantage of Drake's pass-catching ability, lining him out wide against Patriots' linebackers and creating an easy mismatch, resulting in multiple big plays. His diverse skill set has opened up their offense. Drake will be a high-upside RB1 in Week 15 against the Bills as long as RB Damien Williams remains sidelined.
