Eagles OC Frank Reich expects Jay Ajayi to take on a bigger role against the Cowboys in Week 11.

"He's able to handle everything that we give him at this point," said Reich. "When I look at our game plan for this week, I look at it and there's probably not a play on there that I wouldn't feel comfortable putting his number on." Ajayi was limited to eight touches in his Eagles debut in Week 9, but had the bye week to study the team's playbook and has apparently been a quick study. LeGarrette Blount and Corey Clement will still be in the mix, but it sounds as if Ajayi could ascend to lead status in Week 11.

RotoGrinders.com Daily Slant: Ajayi’s $5.4k DK salary is beginning to look pretty appealing. Dallas will be without their best LB and run-stopper, Sean Lee, and even with Lee starting 7 games, they’re 30th in rush DVOA and 24th in adjusted yards (per FO). The Eagles are favored in this one (-3) and they're averaging the 2nd-most rushing attempts per game (31.4).

Coach Mike McCarthy said Aaron Jones will play behind both Jamaal Williams and Ty Montgomery in his return from suspension this week against the Redskins.

"Jamaal and Ty have played good football," McCarthy said. "I know what Aaron gives us, but his role will be secondary. Jamaal and Ty will be in the first slot." Jones is off a two-game ban and will not be handed anything off the bat. He's not a fantasy starter right now and remains nothing more than a bench stash. Jones is long on talent, but Williams and Montgomery have reliability.

Bengals signed RB Thomas Rawls.

Rawls takes the roster spot of RB Tra Carson, who was waived/injured after suffering a hamstring injury in Monday's practice. Carson was expected to be Giovani Bernard's backup with Joe Mixon (knee) out, but that'll likely now be rookie Mark Walton's job while Rawls catches up. Neither are fantasy options.
Sep 19 - 11:34 AM

LeSean McCoy (ribs) was limited in Wednesday's practice.

McCoy is dealing with "cracked rib cartilage" after having a defender fall on top of him Week 2. A limited start to the week would suggest McCoy is on track to play through it. Kelvin Benjamin (hip) was also limited Wednesday.
Sep 19 - 11:30 AM

Coach Doug Pederson labeled both Jay Ajayi (back) and Darren Sproles (hamstring) as day to day.

Pederson said Sproles' recovery might take a "little longer," but it doesn't sound like Ajay has yet to be considered out or even a long shot for Week 3. We'll continue to keep a close eye on this situation the rest of the week. The Eagles promoted UDFA rookie Josh Adams from the practice squad.
Sep 19 - 10:45 AM

Leonard Fournette (hamstring) is expected to return to practice Wednesday.

That's a good sign for Fournette's potential return this week against the Titans. They'll need him with T.J. Yeldon now sidelined with an ankle injury. We'll update Fournette later with his official practice designation.
Sep 19 - 10:32 AM

T.J. Yeldon (ankle) is not expected to practice Wednesday.

The good news is Leonard Fournette (hamstring) is expected back at practice. Yeldon made the start in place of Fournette in the Week 2 win over New England and rushed 10 times for 58 yards, adding two catches for 13 yards. If for some reason both sit, Corey Grant would be the next man up.
Sep 19 - 10:29 AM

Antonio Brown returned to the team on Wednesday.

This non-story of a "story" should disappear within the week. Brown's bigger concern is a calf issue he gutted through in the second half in the Week 2 loss.
Sep 19 - 10:06 AM

Eagles placed WR Mike Wallace on injured reserve with a broken fibula.

Wallace went down early in the loss to the Bucs, forcing the Eagles to roll with Kamar Aiken, Shelton Gibson, and TE Josh Perkins as the top options behind Nelson Agholor and Zach Ertz. Wallace didn't catch a single pass in his game-plus of action for Philly and turned 32 last month. There's a chance Wallace could return late in the year. Jordan Matthews takes his roster spot.
Sep 19 - 10:00 AM

Eagles signed WR Jordan Matthews.

Matthews is still just 26 and was a 2014 second-round pick of the Eagles. He spent his first three years with the team but saw his career take a downturn after multiple injuries and was then shipped to the Bills in the trade for CB Ronald Darby. Matthews has a close relationship with Carson Wentz and knows the offense. He's expected to step in immediately as the slot receiver after the Eagles were forced to use TE Josh Perkins there last week against the Bucs. However, Alshon Jeffery (shoulder) could return this week. Matthews isn't a fantasy add.
Sep 19 - 9:57 AM

Bears coach Matt Nagy said Jordan Howard needs "probably a few more carries."

When speaking about Howard's limited fourth quarter workload -- he received just two carries and one target in Monday's fourth quarter -- Nagy said, "I think probably a few more carries is probably the answer to that." The coach also mentioned that the Bears need to be playing with a lead for Howard to get the "typical 8-10 fourth quarter carries." Howard is already averaging 19 touches per game, but a few more carries would certainly help his fantasy value.

Suspended Chargers DT Corey Liuget is suing his ex-trainer, blaming him for his PED ban.

Liuget is seeking $15 million in damages. He alleges his ex-trainer told him he was using a "high dose of an over-the-counter, anti-inflammatory" to treat Liuget's foot pain. Instead, according to Liuget, it was a banned substance. Liuget will return to the Bolts in Week 5.
