Antonio Brown (toe) didn't practice on Thursday.

Brown has been battling a sprained toe since last week, though he didn't miss a snap in Monday night's win at Cincinnati. We're not worried about his status for Week 14. Brown leads the NFL in every major receiving category including catches (88), receiving yards (1,296) and touchdowns (nine).

49ers placed FS Adrian Colbert on injured reserve with a high-ankle sprain.

He's out until Week 16 at the earliest and should be fully healthy by then. Colbert was injured in the Week 7 loss to the Rams. Rookie D.J. Reed replaced him. Colbert is Pro Football Focus' worst cover safety out of 89 qualifiers.

Ed Dickson (groin, NFI) returned to practice Monday.

Dickson is fully expected to be activated to make his Seahawks debut this week. Coach Pete Carroll says Dickson has a chance to play "quite a bit" in his return. Dickson could become a streaming option at a weak position. With Will Dissly (knee) out for the year, Dickson's competition is Nick Vannett.

Calvin Ridley (ankle) and Mohamed Sanu (hip) are both active for Week 7 against the Giants on Monday night.

Both players looked good in pregame warmups and are ready to roll after not being listed on the final injury report. Inactive for the Falcons are K Matt Bryant, RB Brian Hill, CB Blidi Wreh-Wilson, DE Steven Means, OG Zac Kerin, OT Matt Gono, and DT Michael Bennett. Ridley is a fine WR2/3.

CBS Sports' Bryant McFadden reports Patrick Peterson's "ideal trade destination" is the Saints, while the Patriots and Eagles have also showed interested in acquiring Peterson.

The Cardinals have been adamant that Peterson won't be traded, but Peterson has requested a trade and "wants out" of the desert. Arizona has zero use for Peterson as the worst team in the league in a complete rebuild. Peterson offers this organization more value by bringing in draft picks/young players to aid in the process while he's still in his prime and can fetch a nice haul. Still 28, Peterson is signed through 2020. Peterson played his college ball at LSU.

Raiders placed RB Marshawn Lynch (groin/core muscle) on injured reserve.

Lynch is officially out of commission until Week 16 at soonest, although he has undoubtedly played his final down in Oakland. The tanking Raiders had no use for Lynch, and will move forward with Doug Martin, Jalen Richard, and DeAndre Washington. Lynch's tenure in Oakland certainly fell short of his personal hopes, but his on-field performance was quietly excellent. He was the Raiders' best offensive player from midway through the 2017 season up until his 2018 core muscle injury. We suspect Lynch will retire for good at age 32. He is not under contract for 2019.

Le'Veon Bell's holdout will continue through Week 8.

Bell told ESPN a few weeks ago that he would report to the team between Weeks 7 and 8. Instead, he's going to stay away at least one more week. On Monday, NFL Network's Ian Rapoport suggested Bell will hold out through at least the October 31 trade deadline before reporting to the Steelers. James Conner will continue to operate as Pittsburgh's every-down back in the meantime.

Jaguars released RB Jamaal Charles.

Charles unsurprisingly showed nothing in two games with the Jags, who will move forward with Carlos Hyde and T.J. Yeldon until Leonard Fournette gets right.

Despite turning back to Blake Bortles as their Week 8 starter, the Jagaurs will give Cody Kessler practice reps with the first-team offense.

It's clear Bortles is going to be on a short leash afer his Week 7 third-quarter benching following two lost fumbles. The Jaguars want their quarterbacks to stop turning the ball over, and if Bortles continues to do so Kessler would enter Sunday's game against the Eagles in London.
Oct 22 - 4:51 PM

Coach Doug Marrone announced Monday the Jaguars will turn back to Blake Bortles as their starting quarterback.

The Jags benched Bortles early in the third quarter of Sunday's loss to Houston after he lost two fumbles and failed to move the offense. Cody Kessler didn't separate himself, however, leading just one second-half touchdown drive and averaging 5.2 yards per attempt. The Jags face the Eagles this week in London. Bortles will remain at risk of performance-related, in-game benchings.
Oct 22 - 4:45 PM

Coach Sean McDermott confirmed the Bills will start Derek Anderson in Week 8 against the Patriots.

Anderson turned the ball over four times in Sunday's loss to the Colts and will be an excellent target for the Patriots' D/ST as a streamer. Over the last ten seasons, 35-year-old journeyman Anderson has a 17:28 TD-to-INT ratio.

Colts K Adam Vinatieri has been kicking through a groin injury.

Vinatieri has been listed on the injury report throughout October, but things came to a head Sunday when he aggravated the groin pull and missed two extra points. On Monday, coach Frank Reich stated the Colts would work out kickers this week. Vinatieri is five points shy of the NFL's all-time scoring record.
