Rams signed WR Brandin Cooks to a five-year extension through 2023.

NFL reinstated Cowboys DE Randy Gregory from his indefinite suspension for violating the league's substance-abuse policy.

Drug bans have limited Gregory to just two appearances since 2015. He turned 25 in the interim. The No. 60 overall pick of the 2015 draft, Gregory has only one sack across 14 NFL appearances, but untapped potential. The Cowboys are perennially in need of pass-rushing help, and Gregory could provide a nice boost in sub-packages if he manages to stay on the field in 2018.

ESPN's Jeremy Fowler reports unsigned franchise player Le'Veon Bell is expected to skip training camp but report for Week 1 for the second-straight season.

Fowler reports Bell holding out regular season games "would be a shock," and that the Steelers fully expect him to be in uniform for Week 1. Bell's agent essentially confirmed the approach in a radio interview. Bell would simply be leaving too much money on the table (over $7 million) to extend his holdout. Fantasy drafters can select Bell in the top three with confidence.

Seahawks contract-year FS Earl Thomas wants to be traded if the Seahawks don't extend him.

Thomas is threatening a training camp holdout after skipping the entire offseason. The Seahawks haven't made progress on an extension, and there are rumors a trade to Dallas is still in play. 29-year-old Thomas missed time with injuries the last two seasons, but there's been no dropoff from his All Pro form. Thomas is targeteting $12 million annually on his next deal.

Jaguars signed No. 29 overall pick DL Taven Bryan to a four-year, $10.2 million contract.

The deal includes a fifth-year option and $5.5 million signing bonus. Bryan got slighty above slotted money despite his unproven college track record. The Jaguars plan to use Bryan in a rotation with Calais Campbell and Malik Jackson. He can also play inside in sub-packages.

Cameron Meredith (knee) hopes to be cleared for training camp.

"The main objective is to do as much as I can with the trainers to get ready for the season," Meredith said. "My goal is to try and get back to training camp. As long as there aren't any setbacks, it shouldn't be a problem." Meredith was limited to individual drills at OTAs. The Saints may move him slowly in camp, but he's nearing 100 percent. Meredith has some downside in a new scheme coming off injury, but there's potential for a career year in a Drew Brees offense.

ESPN's Adam Schefter reports Rob Gronkowski will not hold out of training camp.

Gronkowski skipped voluntary OTAs over his contract. His training camp status wasn't in doubt after reporting to mandatory minicamp, but the Patriots have yet to restructure his deal. Gronkowski's contract situation should be updated before Week 1.

Larry Fitzgerald wouldn't rule out playing beyond this season.

It's the second time Fitzgerald has suggested this may not be his last season. 34-year-old Fitzgerald's contract runs out after 2018, so his decision will likely be based on Arizona's chances of contending. Fitzgerald will only play for the Cardinals if he doesn't retire.

NFL Network's Ian Rapoport reports the Steelers offered Le'Veon Bell a five-year, $70 million contract prior to Monday's 4 PM ET deadline.

Per RapSheet, the offer contained more than $30 million over the first two years, but Bell has opted to instead play on the $14.544 million tag for the second straight year before hitting free agency at 27 years old next March. The $14 million average on the Steelers' offer would easily make Bell the league's highest-paid back, an honor held at the moment by Devonta Freeman at $8.25 million per year. It's hard to see Bell doing better than this next offseason, but we'll see.

According to The Athletic's Mark Kaboly, Steelers second-year RB James Conner "was very impressive" at spring practices.

On the same day the Steelers failed to reach a long-term deal with Le'Veon Bell, Kaboly noted No. 2 runner Conner "looks like he can be a solid every-down back in this league." There were few signs of that during Conner's rookie year, when he struggled with durability and pass protection in preseason games, then failed to earn more than eight snaps in any of his 13 regular season appearances. Conner's season ended on injured reserve with a torn MCL.

Ravens RB Kenneth Dixon avoided the active/PUP list to begin training camp.

It means Dixon has been fully cleared to practice on day one of camp after missing all of 2017 with a torn meniscus. A recent beat writer article left Dixon off the Ravens' 53-man roster projection, but the organization was very high on his ability before the lost year. More likely, Dixon will battle Buck Allen to serve as Baltimore's change-of-pace back behind Alex Collins.
