Speaking Tuesday, coach Sean McVay hinted the Rams will rest their key starters for the Week 17 finale against the 49ers.

McVay said there will be some starters who will not play at all, suggesting that will likely be Todd Gurley, Jared Goff, and LT Andrew Whitworth. Gurley is in the running for the MVP and is sitting on 19 total touchdowns and could use the finale to pad his case and possibly get to 20 scores. It doesn’t sound like he’ll get that opportunity. The Rams are already locked into either the No. 3 or 4 seed in the NFC and will host a Wild Card round playoff game.

Kareem Hunt had 15 carries for 86 yards and a touchdown and caught 5-of-6 passes for 55 yards and two touchdowns in Week 7 against the Bengals.

Hunt had one of the highlights of the year in this one, breaking multiple tackles and hurdling over a defender on a play that set up his first receiving touchdown. On his second, he took a red-zone dumpoff down the right sideline and extended over the pylon before going out of bounds. Hunt converted a goal-line carry for his rushing score on the Chiefs first drive of the second half. It's the second straight week Hunt's had an expanded pass game role after going over 100 yards receiving against the Patriots. Hunt has been on fire with a touchdown in five straight weeks. He'll remain a locked-in RB1 for Week 8 against Denver.
Oct 21 - 11:39 PM

Patrick Mahomes completed 28-of-39 passes for 358 yards with four touchdowns and an interception in the Chiefs' Week 7 win over the Bengals, adding four rushes for 45 yards.

Mahomes’ first two touchdowns were dumpoffs to Kareem Hunt. He hit a wide open Demetrius Harris and Tyreek Hill in the red-zone for his other scores. Mahomes underthrew Hill on a deep shot for his interception but was otherwise flawless in the blowout win. Mahomes is playing at an MVP level with a 22:5 TD/INT ratio through seven games. Even in a tough matchup with Denver, he's a top-five quarterback play for Week 8.
Oct 21 - 11:31 PM

Kapri Bibbs rushed two times for 16 yards, adding four catches for 43 yards and one touchdown through the air in the Redskins' Week 7 win over the Cowboys.

Without Chris Thompson for the second straight week, Bibbs again stepped in as Washington's No. 2 change-of-pace back. He showed his worth on Washington's first drive when he stretched a screen in the flats into a 23-yard touchdown scamper. His 43 receiving yards tied Jordan Reed's for the team lead. Bibbs has been out-carried by Adrian Peterson 41-4 over the last two games, though, and would need more consistent usage to be deemed a potential streamer moving forward. He's worthy of stashing in the event both Peterson and Thompson are ruled out later on.
Oct 21 - 8:47 PM

Adrian Peterson handled a team-high 24 carries for 99 yards in Washington's Week 7 victory over the Cowboys.

Peterson again led Washington's backfield in carries by a healthy margin without Chris Thompson available for the second consecutive week. All Day out-carried third-down back Kapri Bibbs 24-2 on Sunday, now having out-carried the latter 41-4 in the Redskins' last two games. He's bulldozed his way to 196 yards (4.78 YPC) in that span, too. If Thompson remains out in Week 8 against the Giants, Peterson will again be a clear-cut usage-based RB2.
Oct 21 - 8:36 PM

Aaron Donald recorded four sacks, six tackles for loss, and a forced fumble in the Rams' Week 7 win over the 49ers.

Donald absolutely dominated this game as the Rams sacked C.J. Beathard seven times and forced four turnovers. One of those turnovers was a play in which Donald ripped the ball right out of Matt Breida's hands, setting the offense up for their first touchdown. After a slow start, Donald now has eight sacks in his last four games.
Oct 21 - 8:15 PM

Michael Gallup hauled in 3-of-5 targets for a team-high 81 yards and one score in Dallas' Week 7 loss to the Redskins.

With Tavon Austin inactive, Gallup was afforded additional opportunity and delivered with a team- and career-high 81 receiving yards. 49 yards came on a deep-ball over the top in which Gallup simply beat the defense and found himself wide open near the sideline. Dallas' leading receiver seems to rotate weekly, but this is a great development for the rookie in the event Austin misses any further time. The Cowboys are on bye next week.
Oct 21 - 8:02 PM

George Kittle hauled in 5-of-8 targets for 98 yards and a touchdown in the 49ers' Week 7 loss to the Rams.

Kittle was the offense for most of this game. He sparked the only scoring drive of the first half with a 23-yard gain in the second quarter and finished the drive with a 10-yard touchdown catch. He had 77 of C.J. Beathard’s 106 yards at the break. The offense's futility limited him in the second half, but he still got loose for a 21-yard gain in the third quarter. Kittle has now topped 75 yards in five of seven games and has two touchdowns in his last four. He will be a high-end TE1 next week in Arizona.
Oct 21 - 7:46 PM

Michael Thomas caught 7-of-9 targets for 69 yards and a touchdown in the Saints' Week 7 win over the Ravens.

The catches were Thomas' most since Week 3, while the score was his first since Week 2. Surprisingly, Thomas has failed to clear 10 targets or 75 yards in each of his past three games. He has a tough Week 8 matchup in Xavier Rhodes and the Vikings, though Rhodes could end up missing the game with an ankle injury.
Oct 21 - 7:45 PM

Dak Prescott completed 22-of-35 passes for 273 yards and one touchdown, chipping in another 33 yards and one score on the ground in the Cowboys' Week 7 loss to the Redskins.

Prescott ate a shoulder pad directly to his helmet while sliding near the sideline early in the first half, which forced Dallas' training staff to bring out the blue medical tent. He was cleared soon after with what was comically declared as a 'hand' injury. Prescott did encouragingly keep to his running ways, though, recording six carries for the third consecutive game. He's now averaged 7.6 rushes, 49.6 rushing yards, and 0.6 rushing touchdowns in the last three games for Dallas. Prescott will return from the Cowboys' Week 8 bye as a sneaky streaming QB2 versus the Titans.
Oct 21 - 7:41 PM

Alvin Kamara rushed 17 times for 64 yards and a touchdown in the Saints' Week 7 win over the Ravens, adding two catches for 11 additional yards.

Kamara got the start and out-touched Mark Ingram 19-14 one game after Ingram out-touched Kamara 18-9 in his 2018 debut. Both players received goal line looks, but only Kamara cashed his in. We would expect today's touch distribution to be closer to the norm than Week 5's going forward. With Taysom Hill emerging as a bigger nuisance, however, Kamara will remain a mid-range to low-end RB1 for Week 8 in Minnesota.
Oct 21 - 7:37 PM

Raheem Mostert rushed seven times for 59 yards and hauled in all four of his targets for 19 yards in the 49ers' Week 7 loss to the Rams.

With Matt Breida in and out of the game after aggravating his ankle injury, Mostert was given the chance to build on his big performance last Monday night, and he certainly delivered. Mostert had 48 yards on his first four touches, and he easily out-gained Alfred Morris despite seeing two fewer carries. It is concerning the 49ers continued to give Morris carries on Sunday, but Mostert needs to be rostered in all leagues.
