Corey Davis caught 5-of-8 targets for 63 yards and two touchdowns in the Titans' blowout Divisional Round loss to the Patriots.

Davis got the Titans on the board with a one-handed touchdown catch from 15 yards out in the first quarter, beating Patriots CB Malcolm Butler. It was Davis’ first career score after he failed to hit pay dirt in 11 regular season appearances. Davis beat Butler again for a touchdown in garbage time. The fifth overall pick in last April’s draft, Davis managed a 34/375/11.0/0 receiving line as a rookie, flashing at times but struggling with persistent hamstring injuries and ultimately lacking a consistent rapport with Marcus Mariota. Nevertheless, Davis has a bright future as a Brandon Marshall-type talent. He will be a popular 2018 fantasy breakout pick.

Sterling Shepard caught 5-of-8 targets for 167 yards in the Giants' Week 7 loss to the Falcons.

Shepard had monster gains of 53 and 58 to aid his huge evening against this porous defense. It was Shepard's first 100-yard game of the season and the most of his career after topping 100 yards just four times his first two seasons. Shepard will be a solid if unspectacular WR3 next week against the Skins.

Saquon Barkley rushed 14 times for 43 yards and one touchdown and caught 9-of-10 targets for 51 yards in the Giants' 23-20, Week 7 loss to the Falcons on Monday night.

It's the first time this season Barkley has been held to fewer than 100 yards from scrimmage, but he made up for it with a boat load of catches, the short touchdown, and a two-point conversion at the end of the game. Barkley just did not have much room to work with on the ground behind this pitiful offensive line and against a defense that got DT Grady Jarrett back from injury. Barkley still remains an elite RB1 no matter the matchup and will get the Redskins in Week 8.

Julio Jones caught 9-of-12 targets for 104 yards in the Falcons' 23-20, Week 7 win over the Giants on Monday night.

Standard day at the office for Jones; he got his 100 yards and remains without a touchdown on the season. There was an opening for one, but Matt Ryan underthrew Jones on what should have been a walk-in 60-yard touchdown. Ryan hit his hand on a helmet on the follow-through, and Jones had to stop for the ball, drawing a 38-yard pass interference instead. On two of the next three plays, Ryan tried to get Jones the ball in the end zone, but Jones was double-covered both times. Jones also lost a fumble in this one. The Falcons are on their bye now before going to D.C. in Week 9.

Odell Beckham caught 8-of-11 targets for 143 yards and one touchdown in the Giants' 23-20, Week 7 loss to the Falcons on Monday night.

Beckham had a relatively quiet first half with three catches for 57 yards, but he beat the defense for a 51-yard strike on a double-move in the third quarter then caught a pair of sideline passes in the fourth quarter to set up a Saquon Barkley touchdown run. With the Giants then trailing 23-12 with five seconds left in the game, Beckham caught a meaningless-to-the-game one-yard touchdown. But that score likely swung a lot of fantasy matchups and also allowed the Giants to backdoor the +4 spread for bettors. OBJ has four 100-yard games this year and gets the Redskins at home in Week 8.

49ers placed FS Adrian Colbert on injured reserve with a high-ankle sprain.

He's out until Week 16 at the earliest and should be fully healthy by then. Colbert was injured in the Week 7 loss to the Rams. Rookie D.J. Reed replaced him. Colbert is Pro Football Focus' worst cover safety out of 89 qualifiers.

Ed Dickson (groin, NFI) returned to practice Monday.

Dickson is fully expected to be activated to make his Seahawks debut this week. Coach Pete Carroll says Dickson has a chance to play "quite a bit" in his return. Dickson could become a streaming option at a weak position. With Will Dissly (knee) out for the year, Dickson's competition is Nick Vannett.

Calvin Ridley (ankle) and Mohamed Sanu (hip) are both active for Week 7 against the Giants on Monday night.

Both players looked good in pregame warmups and are ready to roll after not being listed on the final injury report. Inactive for the Falcons are K Matt Bryant, RB Brian Hill, CB Blidi Wreh-Wilson, DE Steven Means, OG Zac Kerin, OT Matt Gono, and DT Michael Bennett. Ridley is a fine WR2/3.

CBS Sports' Bryant McFadden reports Patrick Peterson's "ideal trade destination" is the Saints, while the Patriots and Eagles have also showed interested in acquiring Peterson.

The Cardinals have been adamant that Peterson won't be traded, but Peterson has requested a trade and "wants out" of the desert. Arizona has zero use for Peterson as the worst team in the league in a complete rebuild. Peterson offers this organization more value by bringing in draft picks/young players to aid in the process while he's still in his prime and can fetch a nice haul. Still 28, Peterson is signed through 2020. Peterson played his college ball at LSU.

Raiders placed RB Marshawn Lynch (groin/core muscle) on injured reserve.

Lynch is officially out of commission until Week 16 at soonest, although he has undoubtedly played his final down in Oakland. The tanking Raiders had no use for Lynch, and will move forward with Doug Martin, Jalen Richard, and DeAndre Washington. Lynch's tenure in Oakland certainly fell short of his personal hopes, but his on-field performance was quietly excellent. He was the Raiders' best offensive player from midway through the 2017 season up until his 2018 core muscle injury. We suspect Lynch will retire for good at age 32. He is not under contract for 2019.

Le'Veon Bell's holdout will continue through Week 8.

Bell told ESPN a few weeks ago that he would report to the team between Weeks 7 and 8. Instead, he's going to stay away at least one more week. On Monday, NFL Network's Ian Rapoport suggested Bell will hold out through at least the October 31 trade deadline before reporting to the Steelers. James Conner will continue to operate as Pittsburgh's every-down back in the meantime.
Oct 22 - 5:34 PM

Jaguars released RB Jamaal Charles.

Charles unsurprisingly showed nothing in two games with the Jags, who will move forward with Carlos Hyde and T.J. Yeldon until Leonard Fournette gets right.
