NFL Network's Ian Rapoport reports the Steelers are expected to assign the franchise tag to Le'Veon Bell this offseason.

This comes days after Bell threatened to retire if franchise-tagged for the second straight year. "I know what I do and what I bring to the table," said Bell, who waited until September 4 to sign his $12.1 million franchise tender this past season. "I'm not going out here getting the ball 400 times if I'm not getting what I feel I'm valued at." The 25-year-old previously turned down a two-year deal worth $30 million. Despite his resistance, Rapoport notes the Steelers rarely budge on contract demands, making it unlikely Bell would win a stare-down with Pittsburgh's front office. The franchise tag for running backs in 2018 carries a $14.5 million salary.

The Miami Herald reports "there is doubt" over Ryan Tannehill's future with the Dolphins.

Tannehill is out at least the next two weeks with his shoulder injury. He'll be back this year, but his status beyond 2018 is far from a lock. Tannehill is a rarely healthy bottom-tier starter that's going to have to take a pay cut from the $26 million he's owed next year to stay in Miami. The Dolphins can save $13.2 million if they move on from Tannehill this offseason.

Carlos Hyde isn't expected to play in Week 7 against the Browns.

Hyde has only two days to learn Jacksonville's playbook. His presence shouldn't impact T.J. Yeldon's role much this week even if he's active. With Leonard Fournette (hamstring) expected back after the Week 9 bye, the Jaguars are taking on a lot of salary with Hyde for what could be a one-game cameo as the team's featured back. Hyde is going to struggle for snaps when Fournette returns.
Oct 19 - 4:58 PM

ESPN Radio's Hays Carlyon expects Leonard Fournette (hamstring) to return after Jacksonville's Week 9 bye.

There was speculation Fournette may be headed to IR after Jacksonville traded for Carlos Hyde. The Jaguars view Hyde as insurance in case Fournette suffers another setback, but this doesn't change his timetable. Fournette looks on track for a Week 10 return.
Oct 19 - 4:45 PM

NFL Network's Ian Rapoport reports injured reserve is a "strong possibility" for Marshawn Lynch.

Lynch is expected to miss at least a month with his groin injury. He'll rehab for now, but surgery hasn't been ruled out. Going on IR would effectively end Lynch's season. Doug Martin will replace Lynch on early downs, with Jalen Richard and DeAndre Washington playing change-up roles.
Oct 19 - 4:35 PM

Sony Michel (knee) is questionable for Week 7 against the Bears.

Michel saw limited work at practice this week, just as he did a week ago when he blew up for 106 yards and two touchdowns in a win over Kansas City. Even against a strong Bears front, he'll be in play as a borderline RB1 in all fantasy formats.
Oct 19 - 4:12 PM

Julian Edelman (heel) is questionable for Week 7 against Chicago.

The Patriots limited Edelman in practice all week. There's been nothing to suggest he's in danger of sitting, but we likely won't know his status until Sunday. Josh Gordon (hamstring) was also listed as questionable but is expected to play.
Oct 19 - 4:06 PM

Cardinals coach Steve Wilks doesn't expect Josh Rosen (toe) to miss any time.

It's good news after what looked like a serious injury. There was some concern with Rosen in a walking boot on Friday. Rosen's practice reps may be scaled back next week, but with the Cardinals on a mini-bye, he shouldn't be in danger of sitting out Week 8.
Oct 19 - 3:59 PM

DeAndre Hopkins (foot) wasn't listed on the Texans' final injury report for Week 7 against the Jaguars.

Hopkins worried us a little with Thursday's DNP, though it looks like he was just getting a maintenance day. Nuk draws a tough matchup against Jalen Ramsey this week, though obviously benching him in season-long leagues is not an option.
Oct 19 - 3:56 PM

Jaguars acquired RB Carlos Hyde from the Browns in exchange for a fifth-round pick in 2019.

And just like that, trade season has begun. With Leonard Fournette's recovery from a hamstring injury taking much longer than expected, the Jaguars decided they simply couldn't wait any longer. Once he learns the playbook, Hyde should fill a committee role alongside T.J. Yeldon, who has filled in throughout Fournette's absence. With Hyde out of the equation, second-round rookie Nick Chubb should immediately slot in as the Browns' lead ball-carrier, though Duke Johnson will continue to be involved on passing downs. Obviously Chubb needs to be picked up in all fantasy formats.
Oct 19 - 3:30 PM

Bucs DT Gerald McCoy (calf) has been ruled out for Week 7 against the Browns.

McCoy may be looking at a multi-game absence after not practicing all week. It's a huge downgrade to the interior of the Bucs' defense. Nick Chubb and Baker Mayfield get matchup upgrades with McCoy out.
Oct 19 - 3:24 PM

Bears OLB Khalil Mack (ankle) is questionable for Week 7 against the Patriots.

Lead wideout Allen Robinson (groin) also drew the questionable tag, though both players resumed practicing on Friday. We're guessing Mack will play through his ankle injury, just as he did a week ago in Miami. Mack looked noticeably hobbled in that game and it wouldn't be a surprise if he had similar limitations against New England, which would come as great news for Tom Brady.
