Profootballtalk reports Chiefs OLB Justin Houston is not a candidate for release.

Houston has been bogged down by injury since his 22-sack 2014, but his release would leave behind $12.7 million in dead money while creating "just" $7.9 million in savings. Houston also managed to have a healthier 2017, notching 9.5 sacks in 15 games. Tamba Hali seems likely to join Derrick Johnson on the way out the door, but 29-year-old Houston should be back.

Titans coach Mike Vrabel said Marcus Mariota suffered a stinger Week 11 against the Colts.

The coach added Mariota is not in the concussion protocol, and he is hopeful the quarterback will be able to play Monday night against the Titans. It is good news Mariota did not re-injure his troublesome elbow, but it is concerning he is dealing with another nerve injury. Blaine Gabbert will get the start if Mariota cannot return. If that happens, the Texans DST will be the top play on the board.

Dolphins coach Adam Gase said DeVante Parker (shoulder) has a chance to play this week.

Parker was given a "week to week" label after injuring his shoulder in Week 10, but he has had the bye week to heal up. With Jakeem Grant (lower leg) out for the season, the Dolphins need Parker healthy.

Ryan Tannehill ramped up his throwing program during the bye week.

Coach Adam Gase said Tannehill made five- to fifty-yard stationary target throws during the bye week and looked normal doing it. Still, Gase would not commit to Tannehill playing or even practicing this week. Facing off against the Colts in a game which shockingly has playoff ramifications, the Dolphins would get a big boost if Tannehill is ready to go.

Robby Anderson (ankle) did not practice Monday.

It is not a great sign for Anderson's availability coming out of the bye week. Quincy Enunwa, who did practice Monday, would serve as the No. 1 if Anderson cannot play this week.
Nov 19 - 11:35 AM

Sam Darnold (foot) did not practice Monday.

The good news is Darnold was not wearing a walking boot on his injured foot, but he was still in street clothes for the Jets' first practice following the bye. Darnold reportedly "has a shot" to play this week, but he probably needs to return to practice by Thursday for that to happen.

The Miami Herald's Adam Beasley reports Jakeem Grant is undergoing "season-ending lower leg surgery."

Grant reportedly avoided an Achilles' rupture, but he still needs surgery to repair the issue. Beasley reports Grant will be ready for the start of the 2019 season. Newly-signed Brice Butler will provide depth behind DeVante Parker, Kenny Stills, and Danny Amendola with Grant sidelined.
Nov 19 - 10:45 AM

Bills coach Sean McDermott said Josh Allen (elbow) will practice in full Monday.

The coach would not commit to Allen playing against the Jaguars on Sunday, but this practice puts him on track. Even after his shocking performance against the Jets before the bye, Matt Barkley should be headed back to the bench.
Nov 19 - 10:35 AM

Ravens coach John Harbaugh said Gus Edwards "took the bull by the horns" with his 115-yard performance against the Bengals on Sunday.

Edwards entered Sunday with just 64 yards on 15 carries to his name in the NFL, but he left it in position to earn meaningful carries down the stretch. "To give us that type of a back is very important," Harbaugh said of Edwards' bruising style. "He gives us that back that we probably didn’t have earlier in the year. We’ve got four different guys who have different styles. I think that’s a plus for us." It remains unclear if this was a blip or the start of Edwards taking over the starting job from Alex Collins, but he is worth adding in all leagues to see what happens, especially given the Ravens' schedule down the stretch.
Nov 19 - 10:29 AM

Stefon Diggs caught 13-of-18 targets for 126 yards and a touchdown in the Vikings' Week 11 loss to Chicago.

Diggs did almost all his damage in the second half. He could have had a bigger game, but Kirk Cousins overthrew him for what would have been a 40-plus yard touchdown. Diggs was fully healthy after sitting out with a rib injury before Minnesota's bye. With Adam Thielen getting held in check out of the slot, Cousins was locked on to Diggs for most of the night. Diggs got the majority of his yards after the catch and was a bright spot in a game the Vikings struggled to move their offense. He'll remain a WR2 for a likely shootout with the Packers in Week 12.
Nov 19 - 12:04 AM

Josh Adams rushed seven times for 53 yards and a touchdown in the Eagles' Week 11 loss to the Saints.

He added 19 yards on three catches. Adams was the lone bright spot in a pitiful display from the Eagles, consistently gaining yards against one of the tougher run defenses in the league. His 28-yard touchdown run was Philly's only score of the game. Adams now has 178 yards on just 27 carries (6.6 YPC) over the last four games. His role should continue to expand down the stretch.
Nov 18 - 7:51 PM

Michael Thomas caught all four of his targets for 92 yards and a touchdown in the Saints' Week 11 win over the Eagles.

With Tre’Quan Smith dominating, Thomas was limited to just four targets, but he made the most of them. He got loose for two long gains on each of his two first-half catches, the second of which put him over 1,000 yards for the season. He did even better after the break, coming down with a pinpoint throw from Drew Brees for a 23-yard touchdown, his eighth of the season and fifth in the last five games. By catching all four of his targets, Thomas once again bumped up above a 90 percent catch rate for the year. He will remain a no-doubt WR1 on Thanksgiving against the Falcons.
