James Harrison announced his retirement after 16 seasons in the league.

The seemingly immortal pass rusher finished up his career in New England and spent a year with the Bengals, but he will be remembered for his 14 seasons with the Steelers. Those Pittsburgh years resulted in two Super Bowl victories including his iconic 100-yard interception return for a touchdown in Super Bowl 43 and Defensive Player of the Year honors in 2008. Harrison is the only undrafted free agent to ever win the DPoY award. He finishes his career with 84.5 regular season sacks and another 11 in the playoffs. Harrison will have a case for the Hall of Fame when he is eligible.

Giants coach Pat Shurmur announced Eli Manning will start Week 16 against the Colts.

"Eli playing QB I think gues us the best chance to win," Shurmur said when asked about the possibility of using rookie Kyle Lauletta, who was a healthy scratch against the Titans. Shurmur added he believes Manning has "years" left and he wants the quarterback to return next season. If he values his job security, Shurmur should hope the Giants have other plans.

Giants coach Pat Shurmur is "hopeful" Odell Beckham (quad) will play this week.

Eagles coach Doug Pederson said the Eagles are not putting Carson Wentz (back) on injured reserve, but Nick Foles will start in Week 16.

Pederson said new information about Wentz's injury was positive and he now considers the quarterback "week to week." It is possible the Eagles would have sent Wentz to injured reserve if they lost to the Rams on Sunday night, but that surprise win keeps them squarely in the playoff hunt. Wentz would likely return if they are able to make the postseason or have a real shot at a berth in Week 17, but that seems like the only way he is back on the field this season.

Eagles coach Doug Pederson said Nick Foles will start Week 16, but the Eagles are not yet sending Carson Wentz (back) to injured reserve.

Foles kept Philly in the playoff hunt with a surprising win over the Rams on Sunday night, and he will get another chance for a big win this week against the Texans. If the Eagles are able to win that game, it is possible they bring back Wentz for the season finale against Washington and a potential playoff run. Short of that, Foles should start the rest of the way.

ESPN's Adam Schefter reports Frank Gore (foot) is expected to miss the rest of the season.

Gore is reportedly dealing with a sprained foot. The injury will snap Gore's insane streak of 126 straight regular season games, a run which goes back to 2011. It also could mark the end of the 35-year-old's (36 in May) career, although Gore has not ruled out playing another season. Gore finishes this season with 722 rushing yards, 12 catches for 124 yards, and one total touchdown.

NFL Network's Ian Rapoport reports Tyler Boyd suffered a "low-grade MCL sprain" Week 15 against the Raiders.

Sprains usually knock players out at least a couple weeks, meaning there is a good chance Boyd has played his final snaps this season. Even if that is true, 2018 has to go down as a good year for the former second rounder. Boyd set new career-highs across the board with 76 catches for 1,028 yards and seven touchdowns and was serviceable as the Bengals' No. 1 option when A.J. Green was sidelined. With Boyd now out as well, the Bengals will turn to some combination of John Ross, Cody Core, and Alex Erickson. This is a situation to avoid in Week 16.

Titans CB Logan Ryan will miss the rest of the season because of a broken fibula.

Ryan announced the news himself on Twitter. The injury is a big blow to a Titans defense which has played well as of late. LeShaun Sims took over as the No. 3 corner after Ryan left against the Giants.

Colorado Springs Gazette's Woody Paige reports Broncos GM John Elway met with Mike Shanahan to discuss Denver's head coaching job last year.

NFL Network's Ian Rapoport confirmed the report. According to RapSheet, CEO Joe Ellis blocked the move, telling Elway he would have to conduct a full search if he decided to move on from Vance Joseph. With Joseph again on the hot seat, it is possible Elway again attempts to hire Shanahan the Older rather than taking a shot on an up-and-comer.

Leonard Fournette said "the game plan coming in" was to limit his carries Sunday against Washington.

Fournette touched the ball just once in the second half, a 25-yard run early in the fourth quarter. "We wanted to see [David] Williams in there," coach Doug Marrone said after the game, saying the undrafted runner had a good week of practice. It is a hilarious justification considering the Jaguars both spent the No. 4 overall pick on Fournette in 2017 and traded this season for Carlos Hyde, who was not even active on Sunday, but the reality is limiting the damage to Fournette late in a lost season makes sense. With his touch total no longer guaranteed, Fournette will be more of a risk-reward RB2 even in a great matchup against the Dolphins this week.

Steelers coach Mike Tomlin said Chris Boswell is "our kicker from start to finish."

Boswell missed yet another field goal attempt in the third quarter Sunday against the Patriots, but he nailed a 48-yarder in the final minutes to help seal the big win. "I liked the way he came back and banged that next opportunity," Tomlin said. "You are going to be tested, we are going to be tested, sometimes you are going to fail but you better pass enough of them." Likely because of the big extension he signed in August, Boswell has already been given a long leash this season, and it sounds like he still has plenty of slack left.

NFL Network's Ian Rapoport said the "likelihood" is Nick Foles will continue to start moving forward.

The Eagles have yet to shut down Carson Wentz, who has a fractured vertebra in his back. With Philly still in the playoff hunt following a surprise win against the Rams on Sunday night, it is possible they elect to put Wentz back out there assuming he cannot make the injury worse, but Rapoport expects the team to take the safe route. Even if Foles keeps the starting job the rest of the way, he will not be a fantasy option after throwing for one touchdown total in three starts this season.
