NFL Network's Ian Rapoport reports the Seahawks are expected to cut DT Malik McDowell "in the near future."

The 35th overall pick in last year's draft, McDowell didn't play a snap as a rookie after suffering severe injuries in an offseason ATV accident. McDowell was then arrested last December for disorderly conduct in Atlanta. McDowell was a top-20 prospect on talent alone coming out of Michigan State in 2017, but fell in the draft due to off-field concerns, which now appear warranted.

Eagles placed RB Corey Clement on injured reserve with a knee injury, ending his season.

Clement has "just" a sprain, but the Eagles can't afford to save his roster spot for the final three games of the season as they play for their playoff lives. The Eagles are well covered in the "pace changing" department with Wendell Smallwood and Darren Sproles behind Josh Adams. A second-year UDFA, Clement was underwhelming this season, averaging 3.80 yards per carry and finding the end zone only twice on 90 touches. 2019 will be his age-25 campaign. Clement will not be guaranteed to make the Eagles' 53-man roster.

Lions placed DE Ezekiel Ansah on injured reserve with a shoulder injury, ending his season.

Ansah dislocated his shoulder against the Cardinals and is expected to require surgery. Playing on the franchise tag, 29-year-old Ansah was limited to seven games by shoulder issues this season. He notched four sacks on 146 snaps. Increasingly beset by injury, there's a strong chance Ansah is allowed to walk in free agency.

Courtland Sutton (thigh) was held out of Tuesday's practice.

Sutton picked up the injury against the 49ers, but he managed to play through it. The Broncos are likely just managing Sutton's reps on a short week ahead of Saturday's game against the Browns.

The City of Oakland has filed a federal antitrust lawsuit against the Raiders and the NFL for what it calls the team's "illegal" planned move to Las Vegas.

The city is seeking "millions" in damages and for the Raiders to "pay off the approximately $80 million in debt remaining from renovations at the Coliseum." It's a long shot, but the practical takeaway is that this could be the team's last year in the city. It has said it would not play in Oakland in 2019 if the city filed suit. Without Oakland, the team could be forced to play in a temporary home. San Antonio has been mentioned as a possibility in the past.

Isaiah Crowell was spotted with a walking boot on his injured left foot on Tuesday.

Crowell's status for Saturday's tilt with the Texans is not looking good, though with only three games remaining, he would have already been placed on injured reserve were his injury truly serious. I.R. is still a possibility, but the Jets at least want to see how he responds during the week. With Elijah McGuire (ankle) and Trenton Cannon (toe) also banged up, the Jets need to make a move at running back.
Dec 11 - 3:42 PM

Elijah McGuire missed Tuesday's practice with an ankle injury.

With Isaiah Crowell (foot) and Trenton Cannon (toe) also sidelined, it means each of the Jets' top three running backs missed Tuesday's session. An addition is likely going to be needed ahead of Saturday's game against the Texans. The situation will be updated on Wednesday.
Dec 11 - 3:34 PM

Melvin Gordon (knee) said he is feeling "much better" and expects to be a game-time call for Thursday night's game against the Chiefs.

Gordon is doing very little in practice this week but is pushing to suit up for Thursday's mammoth divisional tilt. There's an increased sense of urgency on the Chargers' behalf to get Gordon back with Austin Ekeler in the concussion protocol. Ultimately, the Bolts are not going to do anything reckless, as Gordon's good health for the playoffs is the real goal.
Dec 11 - 3:26 PM

Titans placed RT Jack Conklin on injured reserve with a knee injury, ending his season.

Coach Mike Vrabel had been holding out hope that Conklin could return after getting injured last Thursday, but his knee obviously was not responding the way the team had hoped. It's especially poor news after Conklin missed the first three games of the year recovering from last season's torn ACL. 2018 was a lost campaign for a player who had been shaping up as one of the league's better tackles. Still only 24, Conklin will have an excellent shot at a bounce-back effort in the second-to-last year of his rookie contract in 2019. Dennis Kelly is the next man up for Tennessee.
Dec 11 - 3:03 PM

Bears slot CB Bryce Callahan has been diagnosed with a broken foot and is out indefinitely.

A Chicago memorabilia shop broke the news after Callahan had to cancel an appearance. Callahan will miss at least the rest of the regular season and likely the Bears' playoff run, as well. It's a huge blow, as Callahan had been operating as one of the league's top nickel corners. Special teamer Sherrick McManis is the next man up.
Dec 11 - 2:58 PM

Spencer Ware (shoulder, hamstring) remained sidelined at practice Tuesday.

Ware finished Sunday's contest against the Ravens, so his absence is still considered precautionary at this point. Coach Andy Reid said Ware is currently considered "day to day." Wednesday will go a long way in telling what the Chiefs plan to do in their backfield. Damien Williams would become a usage-based RB2 in the unlikely event Ware is out.
Dec 11 - 1:00 PM

Tyreek Hill (heel, wrist) returned to practice Tuesday.

Coach Andy Reid said Hill is "moving around alright" and "should be OK" for Thursday. Hill may be less than 100 percent, but he's fully expected to play in the Chiefs' pivotal divisional tilt against the Chargers. Start him with confidence.
