Former Jets C Nick Mangold announced his retirement after 11 seasons in the NFL.

Released by the Jets following the 2016 season, Mangold flirted with the Ravens last year, but he ultimately spent the season on the sidelines. Now 34 and coming off a year out of the league, Mangold is calling it quits. One of the best centers in the league during his prime, Mangold earned two All-Pro nods (2009 and 10) and went to seven Pro Bowls. He spent all of his 11 seasons with the Jets, who selected him with the No. 29 overall pick in the 2006 draft.

Derek Carr completed 25-of-34 passes for 322 yards and two touchdowns in the Raiders' upset win over the Steelers.

Carr started this game hot, completing each of his first six passes to help the Raiders jump out to an early 7-0 lead. He did not do much of note following that opening drive, however, and lost a bad fumble with Oakland in scoring position in the third quarter. He bounced back in a big way in the fourth. With the Raiders down by four, Carr led a 14-play, 73-yard touchdown drive to give them the lead. He kicked off that march with a great throw to Marcell Ateman for 28 yards, found Jordy Nelson for a big third-down conversion, and capped the drive with a three-yard toss to Lee Smith. The Steelers quickly answered back, but Carr would not concede. He quickly led Oakland back down the field, picking up 39 yards with a pinpoint throw to Seth Roberts to set up a first-and-goal. After three failed plays, he found Derek Carrier open at the goal line for the game-winning score. It was an impressive final quarter for the maligned QB. He will look to keep that momentum going against the Bengals.
Dec 9 - 7:31 PM

George Kittle caught 7-of-9 targets for 210 yards and a touchdown in the 49ers' Week 14 win over the Broncos.

Kittle did all of his damage in the first half. He needed just five second half yards to set the single-game record for a tight end and somehow did not get it. You would think the coach of a 2-10 team would have done him a solid and ensured he got in the record book. As it is, Kittle became the first tight end in 49ers history to post a 1,000-yard season. The highlight was an 85-yard touchdown where the Broncos did not bother to cover the 49ers' No. 1 weapon. Kittle was routinely running completely free, at least before the break. The 49ers get the Seahawks for Week 15.
Dec 9 - 7:25 PM

Ben Roethlisberger (ribs) returned to the game with the Steelers trailing the Raiders 17-14 in the fourth quarter.

Roethlisberger returned the sidelines in the third quarter, but Josh Dobbs stayed in the game. It always seemed like he would be available in emergency situations, and that is exactly where Pittsburgh finds themselves late in the fourth.
Dec 9 - 7:09 PM

Joe Mixon rushed 26 times for 111 yards and one touchdown in the Bengals' 26-21, Week 14 loss to the Chargers, adding five catches for 27 yards on six targets.

Plain and simple, Mixon was the offense. The Bengals were able to hang around in this one all day long because Mixon was fighting hard for yards on every touch. He finally found the end zone with 1:50 left to play from one yard out on his 31st touch of the day. Mixon will be an RB1 next week in a cake spot at home against the Raiders in a game the Bengals should have a shot to win.
Dec 9 - 7:06 PM

Adrian Peterson rushed ten times for 16 yards and caught his lone target for three yards in Washington's Week 14 loss to the Giants.

Peterson never thrives in negative game script, so a bust of a fantasy day was unavoidable when Washington fell behind 40-0 by the third quarter. Peterson should stay on fantasy benches in Week 15 at Jacksonville.
Dec 9 - 5:31 PM

Julian Edelman caught 9-of-12 targets for 86 yards and a touchdown in the Patriots' Week 14 loss to the Dolphins.

The Dolphins simply couldn't cover Edelman in the slot, and he kept the chains moving at will in addition to scoring a short touchdown on an un-cover-able quickness route versus rookie CB Cornell Armstrong. Edelman next catches the Steelers, who use linebackers to cover slot receivers and pay for it regularly.
Dec 9 - 5:10 PM

Josh Gordon caught 5-of-8 targets for 96 yards in the Patriots' Week 14 loss to the Dolphins.

Gordon was a run-after-catch monster in this one, although his longest gain came on a 41-yard defensive pass interference flag drawn on Minkah Fitzpatrick, who covered Gordon for almost the entire game. Gordon lacks his old speed, but he is playing at a very high level regardless with body control and physical post-catch running. Gordon will remain a WR2 in Week 15 at Pittsburgh.
Dec 9 - 5:07 PM

Tyreek Hill caught 8-of-14 targets for 139 yards in the Chiefs' Week 14 win over the Ravens.

This looked like it was going to be another lost week for Hill after his 1-13 day in Week 13; Hill hobbled off the field with what looked like a wrist injury in the first quarter and then had to go to the locker room early in the second quarter with an ankle issue. He came out after the break limping all over the place but had a key 48-yard grab on 4th-9 to set up the game-tying touchdown with 53 seconds left. Hill then had a number of grabs in overtime to boost his stat line. He very well could have a tough time getting ready for Thursday night against the Chargers.
Dec 9 - 5:04 PM

Tom Brady completed 27-of-43 passes for 358 yards and three touchdowns in the Patriots' Week 14 loss to Miami.

This was arguably the sharpest Brady has looked all year, but a few miscues wound up costing New England, including their inability to tackle Dolphins players on Miami's game-winning lateral play from 69 yards out. Brady took a costly sack at the end of the first half to allow time to expire when simply throwing the ball away would have set up an easy field goal, and Stephen Gostkowski missed a three-point attempt in a game the Pats lost by one. Brady will get a tougher test in Week 15 at Pittsburgh, although that game could easily turn into a shootout.
Dec 9 - 5:03 PM

Brandon Bolden rushed twice for 60 yards and two touchdowns and caught one pass for no gain in Miami's Week 14 win over New England.

He logged an un-touched 54-yard score and a six-yard TD on the next possession. The Dolphins may have given Bolden work simply because he was playing his old team. He had one touch all season entering Sunday's game. Frank Gore remains entrenched as the Dolphins' No. 1 back, and Kenyan Drake as the No. 2.
Dec 9 - 5:01 PM

Kenny Stills caught 8-of-9 targets for 135 yards and a touchdown in Miami's Week 14 upset of New England.

Stills put on a route-running clinic all over the field but nearly cost the Dolphins this game by sliding short of the first-down marker on a fourth-quarter play to help force a punt and dropping a third-down pass on the very next possession. Stills has come alive with Ryan Tannehill back at quarterback, but the Dolphins are in for a tough Week 15 test next up at Minnesota.
