Bears coach Matt Nagy said Allen Robinson (ACL) is "ahead of the game" in his rehab.

Nagy added the team feels great about where Robinson is in his recovery, but they will not rush their new No. 1. "He's been doing great in meetings. He's answering every question in the meetings," Nagy said. "He's out here focused, doing everything that we want him to do." At worst, Robinson should be ready to go by training camp.

T.J. Yeldon (foot, ankle) returned to Jaguars practice Thursday.

Oct 18 - 4:32 PM

Updating an earlier item, Dalvin Cook (hamstring) was officially "DNP" on Thursday.

Alrighty then. The "DNP" designation comes less than an hour after coach Mike Zimmer appeared to say Cook was "not limited" on Thursday. What he actually meant was that the running back did not even get in a limited session. Cook's status is now genuinely up in the air. Hopefully the Vikings were just managing his reps. Cook's Friday listing will tell the story of his Week 7 status.
Oct 18 - 4:29 PM

DeAndre Hopkins (foot) was downgraded to "DNP" in Thursday's practice.

It's likely just a form of rep management, though DNPs always need to be taken seriously. Hopkins also had by far his quietest game of the season in Week 7. His Friday status will be key. Provided Hopkins does play, he will be hobbled and squaring off with Jalen Ramsey. He's shaping up as a back-end WR1 for Week 7.
Oct 18 - 4:19 PM

Sean Lee (hamstring) was upgraded to full participation at Thursday's practice.

The veteran is poised to return from a three-game absence. He'll look to slow down the Redskins' ground attack in Week 7.
Oct 18 - 4:11 PM

T.Y. Hilton (hamstring) was downgraded to "limited" in Thursday's practice.

Despite the downgrade, both Hilton and the media were positive on his Thursday participation. It's sounding like Hilton will be full go against the Bills after missing Weeks 5 and 6. Hilton's main concern for Week 7 is likely shadow coverage from Buffalo's Tre'Davious White. Hilton is an upside WR2 for his return.
Oct 18 - 4:05 PM

Carson Wentz (back) was upgraded to full practice on Thursday.

Wentz was limited by a back injury to start the week but returned to full participation only a day later. He'll be in the QB1 discussion Sunday against Carolina.
Oct 18 - 3:37 PM

Gerald McCoy (calf) did not practice Wednesday or Thursday.

It's an ominous development after McCoy left last week's loss early. Already the worst defense in the league by a mile, you can imagine how bad the unit would be without its best player.
Oct 18 - 3:32 PM

Evan Engram (knee) is practicing in full for Week 7.

Engram appeared close to a Week 6 return, so we fully expect him to be out there for Monday Night Football after 11 additional days of rest. Engram will be returning to a crowded, dysfunctional offense. Sterling Shepard and Saquon Barkley have been soaking up checkdowns from a washed Eli Manning. Hopefully Engram can get back in on the action. He will be a low-end TE1 for Week 7.
Oct 18 - 3:04 PM

The Raiders have been fined $20,000 for improperly designating Kelechi Osemele as "questionable" on last week's injury report when he failed to make the team's trip to London.

Players are supposed to be designated as "out" if they don't make the trip, obviously. The shenanigans did not gain much of a #CompetitiveAdvantage for coach Jon Gruden as his team got beat down 27-3 across the pond. The Raiders are not doing anything right in 2018.
Oct 18 - 3:01 PM

Isaiah Crowell (foot) was officially "DNP" on Thursday.

The assembled media thought Crowell was practicing, but he did not do enough to earn a "limited" tag. His Week 7 status against the Vikings is genuinely uncertain. A limited day on Friday would have Crowell on track to suit up.
Oct 18 - 2:28 PM

Cardinals owner Michael Bidwill refuted a report that the team would consider trading CB Patrick Peterson.

The rebuilding Cardinals could look to move some of their veterans at the trade deadline but from the looks of it, Peterson won't be a part of that exodus. "I've seen the speculation," said Bidwill. "But it's not happening." Perhaps Arizona would reconsider if the right offer came along but as of now, it sounds like the stud corner is staying put.
