Dolphins coach Adam Gase said Frank Gore's age is "irrelevant."

Gore turned 35 in May, well beyond the age when most running backs retire, but his coach is quick to point out Gore is not most running backs. "He’s a different dude," Gase said. Gore averaged just 3.76 yards per carry in his three seasons with the Colts and is clearly not the same player he was in his prime, but he can still be an effective complement for young starter Kenyan Drake.

Dalvin Cook (hamstring) remained sidelined at Friday's practice.

Jalen Ramsey (ankle) is questionable for the Jaguars' Week 3 game against the Titans.

Leonard Fournette (hamstring) is questionable for the Jaguars' Week 3 game against the Titans.

Jay Ajayi (back) remained sidelined at Friday's practice.

Ajayi has been sidelined throughout the week, making it highly doubtful he plays Sunday against the Colts. The Eagles signed rookie Josh Adams from their practice squad, but Corey Clement should receive a bulk of the work with Wendell Smallwood mixing-in as backup. Clement is Roto Pat's No. 18 running back.

Cowboys LB Sean Lee (hamstring) is expected to play against the Seahawks in Week 3.

Lee himself told Jones he'll play, as expected. He was reportedly able to do more at Thursday's practice and is on track for Sunday. Lee has played a reduced role thus far for precautionary reasons, but remains an integral part of the Cowboys' defense.

T.Y. Hilton (quad) returned to practice Friday.

Marlon Mack (foot, hamstring) and Jack Doyle (hip) remained sidelined at Friday's practice. Hilton is on track to play despite being sidelined earlier in the week. Andrew Luck will likely be forced to lean on both Hilton and Eric Ebron against the Eagles' daunting secondary on Sunday.

Jack Doyle (hip) remained sidelined at Friday's practice.

Marlon Mack (hamstring, foot) was also absent from practice Friday. T.Y. Hilton (quad) returned after being sidelined earlier in the week. Doyle has notably been an every-down player this season, entrenching Eric Ebron into a full-time role if the former is unable to play. Ebron is a tremendous streaming and DFS option if only for his inevitable usage sans Doyle.

Marlon Mack (foot, hamstring) remained sidelined Friday.

Jack Doyle (hip) remained sidelined at Friday's practice. T.Y. Hilton (quad) returned after being sidelined earlier in the week. Mack logged 10 carries and two targets in his 2018 debut last week, which may have caused a setback. If Mack in declared inactive, Jordan Wilkins would likely lead the Colts' backfield in carries with Nyheim Hines staying involved in their passing game.

Texans coach Bill O'Brien said Jadeveon Clowney (back) "should be able to go" in Week 3 against the Giants.

Clowney was inactive in Week 2 but has been a limited participant in practice this week and is fully expected to suit up against the Giants. "It means a lot to me to be out there with my teammates," Clowney said. With Clowney, J.J. Watt, and Whitney Mercilus all back together again, the Texans' defensive line should have a field day in the trenches against New York's shoddy pass-protection.
Sep 21 - 11:33 AM

LeSean McCoy (ribs) is practicing in a non-contact jersey Friday.

It's the third practice in a row that McCoy got in limited work. His ailing ribs haven't stopped him from participating, but he also hasn't been allowed contact yet, either. His availability remains up in the air. Whether he plays or not, even McCoy's floor is questionable against the Vikings' ferocious front-seven. It's a terrible matchup no matter who lines up in Buffalo's backfield.
Sep 21 - 11:29 AM

Giants CB Eli Apple (groin) remained sidelined at Friday's practice.

Both Apple and premier pass-rusher Olivier Vernon (ankle) were sidelined at Friday's practice, putting their availability for Week 3 in extreme doubt. B.W. Webb will likely start in coverage opposite Janoris Jenkins Sunday, making Will Fuller a strong WR2 candidate on the week.
