ESPN's Adam Schefter reports the Patriots added $5 million in "performance-based incentives" to Tom Brady's contract.

It is similar to what the team did with Rob Gronkowski's contract last season. Owed just $14 million in base salary each of the next two year, Brady is making way less than he would on the open market. Schefter reports these incentives will get him closer to the market rate. The future Hall of Famer turned 41 last week.

According to ESPN's Dan Graziano, the Cowboys are "monitoring" Kelvin Benjamin ahead of next week's trade deadline.

The Cowboys have also checked in on DeVante Parker and continue to do their "due diligence" on Amari Cooper. Dallas is in desperate need of receiving weapons and it's likely the Cowboys address that issue by adding a pass-catcher at the trade deadline. Hopefully the Cowboys can do a bit better than Benjamin, who has been a non-factor in Buffalo this year. Meanwhile Parker can't even get on the field in Miami.

Duke Johnson is listed as the starter for Week 7 against the Bucs.

We wouldn't read much into this. Johnson is listed ahead of Chubb out of seniority but may not start depending on what formation the Browns open in. Chubb remains the favorite to lead Cleveland in Week 7 carries.

The Miami Herald reports the Dolphins have talked about a DeVante Parker trade with the Eagles.

The Dolphins have reportedly spoken with "multiple" teams, but the Eagles are the first identified by name. Parker is a de facto healthy scratch for Sunday's game with the Lions. The Dolphins appear desperate to move on before next week's trade deadline.
Oct 21 - 11:40 AM

Isaiah Crowell is active for Week 7 against the Vikings.

Crowell has been dealing with an ankle injury, but he was always expected to play after handling 15 touches in Week 6. The Jets' Week 7 inactives are WR Quincy Enunwa, DL Folo Fatukasi, CB Derrick Jones, CB Trumaine Johnson, FS Marcus Maye, LB Kevin Pierre-Louis, and CB Buster Skrine.
Oct 21 - 11:37 AM

Josh Gordon (hamstring) is active for Week 7 against the Bears.

As are Julian Edelman (heel) and Sony Michel (knee). Gordon saw his playing time and target share jump last week, and he could see even more work with Rob Gronkowski (back) sidelined against the Bears. He is an upside WR3.
Oct 21 - 11:33 AM

Sony Michel (knee) is active Week 7 against the Bears.

As are Julian Edelman (heel) and Josh Gordon (hamstring). Michel's matchup is not ideal, but he has dominated carries the last several weeks and has as much touchdown upside as any back this side of Todd Gurley. He remains a back-end RB1.
Oct 21 - 11:32 AM

Julian Edelman (heel) is active Week 7 against the Bears.

As are Sony Michel (knee) and Josh Gordon (hamstring). Rob Gronkowski (back) is out, however, meaning Edelman could see more targets than usual. He is an upside WR2 this week.
Oct 21 - 11:32 AM

Khalil Mack (ankle) is active for Week 7 against the Patriots.

This had been the expectation. Mack appeared to be bothered by the injury last week, but he can still be a disruptive force against a Patriots line without RT Marcus Cannon.
Oct 21 - 11:32 AM

Allen Robinson (groin) is active for Week 7 against the Patriots.

This was the expectation after Robinson got in a limited practice on Friday. He might not be 100 percent, but he is in a good spot in a game in which the Bears could be playing from behind. He remains a back-end WR2 despite the injury concern.
Oct 21 - 11:31 AM

Carlos Hyde is inactive for Week 7 against the Texans.

Despite Sunday morning reports to the contrary, Hyde was never going to suit up two days after being traded from Cleveland. T.J. Yeldon will remain the Jaguars' bellcow back against Houston.
Oct 21 - 11:28 AM

Updating an earlier item, ESPN's Adam Schefter reports Joey Bosa (foot) is expected to make his season debut against the Seahawks in Week 9.

Jason La Canfora of CBS Sports reported earlier Sunday that a Week 9 return would be "quite ambitious" for Bosa, though apparently Schefter's sources see the situation playing out a bit differently. Bosa has yet to suit up this season while nursing a painful bone bruise on his left foot, though the third-year pass-rusher resumed running recently and is slowly "regaining his form." Bosa's return would be a massive lift for the Chargers' defense.
