Michael Thomas (illness) didn't practice on Wednesday.

Thomas is feeling a bit under the weather, though this shouldn't affect his status for Week 2 against Cleveland. The third-year wideout erupted for 180 yards on a team-record 16 catches in last week's opener.

Pro Football Talk reports X-rays on Frank Gore's foot came back negative.

Dec 16 - 5:08 PM

Aaron Jones believes his knee injury is a sprained MCL.

It's the same injury Jones suffered last year, also in Chicago. That one cost him two games. This one would cost him the rest of 2018. Jones is just guessing, of course. Monday testing will tell the tale. Jamaal Williams would be an every-down player against the Jets in Week 16 were Jones to sit.
Dec 16 - 5:03 PM

Tevin Coleman rushed 11 times for 145 yards and a touchdown in Atlanta's Week 15 blowout victory over Arizona.

The 145 rushing yards were a career high, keyed by Coleman's 43-yard scoring sprint in the second half and assisted by an Ito Smith knee injury that limited Smith to 11 touches after Smith out-touched Coleman in each of the previous two weeks. Coleman's day was nearly much bigger, but he had a 44-yard touchdown called back in the second half. Coleman was targeted just once and missed it. A thoroughly boom-bust player, Coleman will remain a volatile RB2/flex option in Week 16 at Carolina.
Dec 16 - 4:59 PM

Kenyan Drake rushed once for six yards and caught 3-of-3 targets for 28 yards in the Dolphins' Week 15 loss to the Vikings.

Even with Frank Gore leaving at the end of the first quarter, Drake was left on the sidelines in favor of Kalen Ballage for most of this game. He did get some work in the two-minute drill at the end of the first half and actually led the team with three catches for 28 yards heading into the break. That was the extent of his involvement, however, even with the Dolphins in garbage-time mode for most of the final quarter. It is possible Drake's shoulder injury has made the Dolphins hesitant to use him. No matter the reason, he is just a big-play dart throw at this point.
Dec 16 - 4:55 PM

Julio Jones caught 6-of-8 targets for 82 yards and a touchdown in Atlanta's Week 15 win over Arizona.

The good news is Jones dominated the first half, racking up chunk gains on slot routes and screens and even beating Patrick Peterson for a 21-yard touchdown in man coverage with a diving score. The bad news is Julio suffered a rib injury on that very play and was sparingly seen throughout the second half. He didn't have a single target in the final two quarters. The Falcons had built a monster lead by that point, however, and they took it easy on starters late in the second half. Expect Julio to be out there in Week 16 against a Panthers team he's historically owned.
Dec 16 - 4:54 PM

Matt Ryan completed 22-of-36 passes for 231 yards and two touchdowns, adding three carries for 18 yards and an additional score in Atlanta's Week 15 blowout win over Arizona.

Even as Atlanta failed to exeed 20 points scored in five straight weeks entering this one, Ryan stayed afloat from a fantasy perspective and is going to end up with yet another top-ten finish thanks in large part to Sunday's goal-line TD. Ryan now has a career-high three rushing touchdowns. Ryan was sharp throughout, showing no fear targeting Julio Jones in Patrick Peterson's coverage and connecting with Justin Hardy for a short score. Ryan will catch another plus draw in Week 16 at Carolina. He's proven to be one of 2018's best value picks at quarterback in season-long leagues.
Dec 16 - 4:50 PM

Mike Evans caught 4-of-9 targets for 121 yards in Week 16 against the Ravens.

It's another 100 yards game for Evans — his seventh of the season. Evans accounted for over 75 percent of Jameis Winston's 157 yards. He didn't have any opportunites in the red-zone, and the Bucs didn't get many chances with Baltimore's ball-control offense winning the time of possesion battle. Evans will look to snap his four-game scoreless streak in Week 16.
Dec 16 - 4:47 PM

Kalen Ballage rushed 12 times for 123 yards and a touchdown in the Dolphins' Week 15 loss to the Vikings.

Taking over as the lead back after Frank Gore’s ankle injury, Ballage notched six carries for 30 yards in the first half, but he did a little better after the break. On the first play of the second half, Ballage exploded through a hole, worked to the sideline, and outran everyone to the end zone for a 75-yard touchdown to get the Dolphins back in the game. Unfortunately for Ballage, the offense was shut down from that point on. With the Dolphins unwilling to use a perhaps banged-up Kenyan Drake as a runner, it looks like Ballage will be a big part of the running game if Gore is forced to miss time. Even with the Jaguars up next, that makes him an interesting waiver add in deeper leagues.
Dec 16 - 4:45 PM

Bears FS Eddie Jackson suffered a right ankle injury in Chicago's Week 15 win over the Packers.

Coach Matt Nagy expects to know more in 24-48 hours. Jackson was injured ending Aaron Rodgers' interception-less streak at 402 throws. He went down in extremely awkward fashion at the end of the play. He was walking under his own power after being helped off the field. Jackson's loss for the playoffs would be massive.
Dec 16 - 4:43 PM

Randall Cobb caught 3-of-7 targets for 30 yards in the Packers' Week 15 loss to the Bears.

Cobb was evaluated for a concussion late after a "shoulder-to-shoulder" hit where the refs picked up a flag. Cobb had a brutal drop earlier but was also overthrown by Aaron Rodgers on what should have been a deep completion. Cobb was frequently open against the Bears' Bryce Callahan-less secondary. If he can get cleared for Week 16, it will be for a dispiriting road trip to New Jersey to take on the Jets.
Dec 16 - 4:38 PM

Gus Edwards rushed 19 times for 104 yards and a touchdown in Baltimore's Week 15 win over the Bucs.

The Bucs didn't have an answer for Edwards and Baltimore's run game. Edwards had just 23 yards at halftime before exploding on a few chunk plays set up by Lamar Jackson RPOs. Edwards helped keep Tampa off the field with consistant yardage and scored a red-zone touchdown that ended up being the difference in the game. The Ravens have been one of the most run-heavy teams in the league since turning over to Jackson. Edwards will remain an RB2 play against the Chargers in Week 16.
