Joe Mixon rushed 21 times for 84 yards in the Bengals' Week 2 win over the Ravens.

Mixon added a three-yard reception. Mixon spent chunks of the night looking Le'Veon Bell-esque with his slipperiness, patience and power, but he was dogged by knee issues, twice checking out. Thankfully, he returned both times. He looked no worse for the wear after coming back from a "questionable" tag in the fourth quarter. Even with the injury, Mixon has now hit the 22-touch mark in both 2018 appearances. He is solidifying himself as a legitimate RB1. He has 10 days to rest up for the Panthers in Week 3.

Chargers coach Anthony Lynn believes Keenan Allen (hip) could end up a game-time decision for Saturday's game against the Ravens.

Allen did not practice on Thursday, getting his week off on the wrong foot. Allen would ideally rest, but Saturday is a game the Chargers have to have to keep their hopes of earning the AFC's No. 1 seed alive. Even having Allen as a decoy would be a big boost against the Ravens' strong secondary.

Rams signed RB C.J. Anderson.

With Todd Gurley dealing with knee inflammation, the Rams are taking out a Week 16 insurance policy. Were Gurley to sit against the Cardinals' soft run defense, CJA would likely see immediate run alongside existing backups John Kelly and Justin Davis.
Dec 18 - 5:26 PM

Raiders placed RG Gabe Jackson on injured reserve with an elbow injury, ending his season.

This will help the Raiders in their pursuit of the No. 1 overall pick. Jackson played all 67 snaps in Week 14 but was missing in Week 15. He should be back to 100 percent health well ahead of next summer's training camp. Going on 28, Jackson is signed through 2022. He has earned sub-replacement level marks from Pro Football Focus each of the past two years.
Dec 18 - 5:15 PM

Jordan Reed (ankle, foot) remained sidelined on Tuesday.

It would be highly surprising if Reed played again this season.
Dec 18 - 5:12 PM

Marcus Mariota was limited in Tuesday's practice with a foot issue.

Mariota is often battling some sort of ailment but has usually played through them this season. His Week 16 job against the Redskins will be to put the ball in Derrick Henry's gut as many times as possible.
Dec 18 - 5:07 PM

Melvin Gordon (knee) was "full speed" in Tuesday's practice.

Gordon was officially designated as "full." He will return for Saturday's game against the Ravens. Even in a tough matchup, Gordon will immediately slot back in as a top-eight RB1.
Dec 18 - 4:59 PM

Rams waived PR/KR Pharoh Cooper.

An All-Pro return man in 2017, Cooper had failed to make an impact after coming off injured reserve in late-November. Cooper's release is surprising in the context of JoJo Natson's return woes on Sunday. Only 23, Cooper will undoubtedly get a second chance elsewhere.
Dec 18 - 4:47 PM

Bills placed RB Marcus Murphy (elbow) on Injured Reserve.

Murhpy dislocated his elbow in Week 15 while taking over lead back duties with LeSean McCoy (hamstring) and Chris Ivory (shoulder) missing time. If both players are still out for Week 16, Keith Ford will be a volume-based RB2/3 sleeper. The Bills signed WR Victor Bolden in a corresponding move.
Dec 18 - 4:24 PM

Falcons promoted RB Jeremy Langford from the practice squad.

Langford has been bouncing around practice squads for a couple seasons, but he'll be active for the Week 16 game against the Panthers with Ito Smith on Injured Reserve. Langford will be Tevin Coleman's backup for the next two weeks with Devonta Freeman (groin, I.R.) not ready to practice.
Dec 18 - 4:20 PM

Packers placed Aaron Jones (knee) on Injured Reserve.

Jones suffered a sprained MCL in Week 15, so it will be Jamaal Williams as the Packers' lead back against the Jets in Week 16 making Williams a volume-based RB2. For Jones, he will head into 2019 as the Packers' clear No. 1 running back after posting his second season with a 5.5 yards per carry average. Jones ran for 728 yards and eight touchdowns on 133 carries and caught 26-of-35 targets for 206 yards and one score in 2018.
Dec 18 - 3:57 PM

Seahawks signed RB Bo Scarbrough.

Scarbrough has been plucked off the Jaguars practice squad and will be a name to monitor in the crowded Seattle backfield led by Chris Carson. The signing is presumably insurance for RB Rashaad Penny, who was inactive in Week 15. The rookie was a big name out of Alabama, but Scarbrough was only a seventh round selection in the 2018 draft.
