Packers coach Mike McCarthy said Randall Cobb was limited Thursday because of the same hamstring which has bothered him since Week 3.

Cobb was downgraded to limited on Thursday after getting in a full practice Wednesday. These comments suggest Cobb suffered a setback and was not just getting some extra rest. He is looking legitimately questionable to face the Dolphins.

Texans coach Bill O'Brien was entirely noncommittal on Monday when asked if D'Onta Foreman (Achilles/PUP) will play this year.

"He had a good year last year, but that was a long time ago," said O'Brien. "Let's just see where he's at." Should the Texans bring Foreman off PUP, they would then have 21 days to decide whether to activate him to the 53-man roster. Foreman tore his Achilles' last November 19 and will be a full year removed from the injury next Monday. He's not worth stashing beyond Dynasty leagues.

Falcons activated MLB Deion Jones (foot) from injured reserve/designated for return.

And he'll be put to work immediately in Week 11 versus the run-first Cowboys. Jones has been out since Week 1 with a foot fracture that required surgery. When healthy, Jones is one of the highest-impact linebackers in the league as both a run stopper and coverage specialist against tight ends and running backs.
Nov 12 - 5:22 PM

Seahawks coach Pete Carroll said Monday that Chris Carson (hip) will play on Thursday Night Football against Green Bay.

Thus, Seattle plans on having Carson, Mike Davis, and Rashaad Penny ready to roll against Green Bay, creating a muddy backfield picture. Carroll was noncommittal on each back's role, emphasizing that all three runners can't get the ball frequently in the same game when everyone is available. Carroll, Davis, and Penny will all be high-risk flex options in Thursday night's game.

DeVante Parker is "week to week" with a sprained AC joint in his shoulder.

"Week to week" typically means a player will miss the forthcoming game, then be evaluated on a day-by-day basis thereafter. The good news Miami has a Week 11 bye. Parker should have a great chance to return for Week 12.
Nov 12 - 4:41 PM

ESPN's Adam Schefter reports the outlook for Julian Edelman (foot) is "positive," and New England's slot receiver "is not expected to miss much, if any time."

It's not surprising. Edelman did enter last week's game managing a foot/ankle issue, but his injury did not appear significant on the field. Edelman left in the fourth quarter with the game already out of hand. The Patriots are now on their Week 11 bye. We fully expect to see Edelman starting in Week 12.
Nov 12 - 4:04 PM

Ravens coach John Harbaugh would not disclose his Week 11 starting quarterback at Monday's press conference.

Harbaugh said he is "hopeful" Joe Flacco (hip) will be healthy enough to start. "He's getting treatment," said Harbaugh. "We'll see. We'll know more as the week goes on." Flacco was on crutches during Baltimore's Week 10 bye, which is generally not a good sign. The Ravens may try to keep their Week 11 quarterback a secret ahead of a must-win game against Cincinnati.
Nov 12 - 3:57 PM

The Broncos expect Royce Freeman (ankle) back for Week 11 against the Chargers.

Dealing with a high ankle sprain, Freeman has been out since Week 7. He will return to a committee alongside Phillip Lindsay and Devontae Booker. Freeman was a touchdown-or-bust flex option early in the season, and we wouldn't expect that to change in the back half. Lindsay has outplayed him all year.
Nov 12 - 3:52 PM

Panthers released RB C.J. Anderson.

Anderson failed to carve out a role behind breakout workhorse back Christian McCaffrey and at times resembled old Panthers FB Mike Tolbert on the field rather than a svelte tailback. Cameron Artis-Payne is CMC's new top backup.
Nov 12 - 3:47 PM

Jaguars C Brandon Linder (knee) is out for the season.

He'll have surgery. The injury compounds Jacksonville's previous losses of multiple left tackles, robbing them of 2-of-5 starting offensive linemen. Linder was having a terrific season, grading out as a top-five center in PFF's grades.
Nov 12 - 3:43 PM

NFL.com's Ian Rapoport reports Chargers LB Denzel Perryman (knee) has been diagnosed with an LCL injury and also requires hamstring surgery.

He will miss the remainder of the season. The injury is to Perryman's left knee. The good news is that Perryman is expected to be back to 100 percent in 3-4 months. Still only 25, Perryman will be a free agent at season's end. Playing roughly 66 percent of the Bolts' snaps, Perryman will be a big loss down the stretch. Perryman has been effective in stretches but has long dealt with injury issues.
Nov 12 - 3:24 PM

Ryan Fitzpatrick will remain the Bucs' starter for Week 11 against the Giants.

Fitz had another turnover-marred debacle in Sunday's loss to the Redskins, but the Bucs believe he gives them their best chance to win. They may be right. The Bucs do not want to risk injury to Jameis Winston, whose 2019 team option is guaranteed for injury only. Fitz will have to go all the way off the rails for Winston to be re-inserted, which, let's be honest, is not a far-fetched scenario.
