Bryan Little was on the ice Monday morning and will play against Ottawa.

His status was considered uncertain after he was seen going in for X-rays following an apparent injury on Saturday. However, he appears to be alright to continue playing. Little has three goals in his past five games and 42 points over 67 contests this season.

Patrik Laine scored a pair of goals in Tuesday's 5-4 OT loss to the Toronto Maple Leafs.

Laine tied the game at one with a beautiful one-timer early in the first period and he gave the Jets a 4-3 lead with less than three seconds remaining in the second frame. The rookie winger has scored seven goals and three assists during his current five-game point streak. He's up to 30 goals and 54 points in 55 games. It looks like the Calder Trophy race between he and Leafs rookie Auston Matthews will go down to the wire.

Auston Matthews registered three assists in Toronto's 5-4 OT win over the Winnipeg Jets.

Matthews helped set up Leo Komarov's power play goal in the second period, William Nylander's game-tying goal in the third period and Jake Gardiner's game-winning goal in overtime. The rookie forward has six points in his last three contests and he's up to 28 goals and 52 points in 59 games this season.

Nikita Kucherov scored a goal and three assists in Tuesday's 4-1 win over the Edmonton Oilers.

Kucherov's goal gave the Bolts a 3-1 lead in the third period. He also helped set up goals by Ondrej Palat (twice) and Vladislav Namestnikov. Not bad for a guy who had no points in his last four contests. Kucherov finished the game with a plus-4 rating and six shots on goal in 19:02 of ice time. He has 22 goals and 53 points in 52 games this season. He's the best fantasy option on Tampa Bay's roster.
Feb 21 - 11:05 PM

Josh Bailey scored a goal and an assist in Tuesday's 3-1 win over the Detroit Red Wings.

Bailey opened the scoring at the 15-minute mark of the first period. He also registered an assist on John Tavares' goal in the third period. Bailey is quietly putting together a solid season, as he now has 12 goals and 41 points in 59 games this season. It's a nice boost of production from a player that had just one assist in his last seven games.
Feb 21 - 10:41 PM

Carey Price turned in a fantastic performance in Tuesday's 3-2 shootout win over the New York Rangers.

Price stopped 28 shots in the win, and none of them was better than the diving save he made on Rangers forward J.T. Miller in the dying seconds of overtime. After going through a rough patch for a few weeks, Price has looked fantastic since Claude Julien took over as head coach. Price has a 25-15-5 record with a 2.44 goals-against-average and a .918 save percentage.

Sidney Crosby found the back of the net in Pittsburgh's 3-1 win over Carolina.

It was his league-leading 33rd goal of the 2016-17 season. Crosby's power play goal at the 16:21 mark of the second period proved to be the game-winning marker. The Penguins captain finished the game with four penalty minutes, five shots on goal and one hit in 22:05 of ice time. Crosby has 66 points in 53 games this season. Scott Wilson and Evgeni Malkin also scored for the Pens.

The Sens captain finished the night with a plus-1 rating, three shots on goal and four blocked shots in 25:35 of ice time. Karlsson has 10 goals and 52 points in 58 games this season. Kyle Turris also scored for the Senators.
Feb 21 - 9:33 PM

Dennis Wideman will be a healthy scratch in Tuesday's game against the Nashville Predators.

Michael Stone, who was acquired from Arizona on Monday, will take Wideman's spot in the lineup. It's not an ideal situation for Calgary, as they're sitting a guy with a $5.25 million cap hit. Don't be surprised if they end up trading him before the March 1st trade deadline. Wideman has three goals and 13 assists in 52 games this season. The pending unrestricted free agent averages over 20 minutes of ice time per game. Jyrki Jokipakka and Freddie Hamilton will also watch the game from the press box.
