Tim Erixon is changing teams yet again, as the Rangers sent him to the Blue Jackets in the Rick Nash mega-deal.

Joining him in the package are Brandon Dubinsky, Artem Anisimov and a first-round pick. Erixon was selected by the Flames in the first round of the 2009 draft, but he didn't want to play there, so he never signed. Thus, Calgary was forced to move him before the 2011 draft or risk losing his rights, and that's how he ended up in New York. The 21-year-old is an NHL-ready blueliner, sound in his own zone and skilled offensively. He should be given a shot to win a job in training camp. He had 33 points and 42 penalty minutes in the AHL last season.

Forward Rene Bourque will miss the rest of the season because of a back injury.

That was the word Saturday night from Columbus Blue Jackets coach Todd Richards. Bourque was injured a week ago and had not played since. He was getting hot before the injury with three goals in his previous two games. On the season, Bourque had six goals and eight assists for 14 points in 51 games.

Pittsburgh superstar Evgeni Malkin returned to the Penguins Saturday and contributed two assists in a 3-2 victory over the visiting Arizona Coyotes.

Malkin missed six games after sustaining a lower-body injury during his first shift in the Penguins' 2-0 loss to the Boston Bruins on March 14. Malkin now has 42 assists and 70 points in 64 games this season. His shot total on Saturday was five, second on the Pens only to fellow superstar Sidney Crosby, who fired six shots on net. Crosby scored a goal and had two assists himself against the Coyotes. Malkin missed six games after sustaining the injury during his first shift in the Penguins' 2-0 loss to the Boston Bruins on March 14. Forward Patric Hornqvist, who last played against the Detroit Red Wings on March 15, also returned to the Pittsburgh, but forward David Perron was unavailable because of an undisclosed illness.
Mar 28 - 6:41 PM

With doubts swirling around Jimmy Howard, Petr Mrazek made a case for himself in the Detroit Red Wings' 4-0 win against the Tampa Bay Lightning.

Mrazek stopped all 23 shots for his second shutout of the season, improving his 2014-15 record to 15-7-1. He's likely worth a roster spot if you're hurting for fantasy playoff goaltending, even if it's a 50-50 split with Howard.
Mar 28 - 5:14 PM

For the first time in a long time, Sidney Crosby enjoyed a three-point game. He factored into every Pittsburgh Penguins goal in a 3-2 win against the Arizona Coyotes.

Crosby's 25th goal of the season was the game-winner, and with two assists, he has the NHL points lead with 78. Evgeni Malkin had two assists in his return and Steve Downie had a big showing in his own right on Saturday.
Mar 28 - 5:00 PM

Fantasy owners have to be delighted to see Philadelphia Flyers forward Jakub Voracek ramp up his production, even in meaningless games such as Saturday's 3-2 shootout loss to the San Jose Sharks.

Voracek collected two assists on Saturday, giving him seven helpers in a four-game point streak. He now has 76 points in 2014-15, the second-highest total in the NHL.
Mar 28 - 4:52 PM

Scary news from the Pittsburgh Penguins: Kris Letang underwent evaluations at a hospital following a Shane Doan hit on Saturday.

The Penguins won 3-2 against the Arizona Coyotes, yet their thoughts are obviously with Letang, especially considering his history with head injuries. Doan must be at least a little concerned about a suspension since he's had run-ins before.
Mar 28 - 4:13 PM

It was an up-and-down return for Henrik Lundqvist as the New York Rangers fell 4-2 to the Boston Bruins on Saturday.

Lundqvist seemed out of sorts in the first period, allowing three goals on 14 shots. He wasn't pulled by Alain Vigneault and seemed to get better as the game went along, making 26 out of 30 saves.
Mar 28 - 4:06 PM

The Nashville Predators clinched a playoff spot with a 4-3 win against the Washington Capitals on Saturday, so it was fitting that Pekka Rinne was in net.

Rinne improved to 41-15-4 on the season after stopping 25 out of 28 shots. He's now on a four-game winning streak and is two victories from tying his career-high of 43 wins from 2011-12.
Mar 28 - 3:34 PM

After sitting out since March 15 with a lower-body injury, Pavel Datsyuk returned to action for the Detroit Red Wings against the Tampa Bay Lightning on Saturday.

With 58 points in 57 games played, it's clear that Datsyuk can still produce. The question fantasy owners must address is if he's worth a high pick considering his frequent ailments.
Mar 28 - 2:19 PM

T.J. Oshie missed Saturday morning's practice due to illness but he is expected to play Saturday night against Columbus.

Just in case you were worried when you heard he did not participate in scrimmages. Keep Oshie active.
Mar 28 - 1:37 PM

The Pittsburgh Penguins will be without David Perron on Saturday against the Arizona Coyotes.

Perron won't play because he's sick. The 26-year-old has 17 goals and 40 points during the 2014-15 season.
