Potential 2013 No. 1 pick Nathan MacKinnon played a big role in Halifax's 8-1 rout of P.E.I, collecting four points.

MacKinnon scored two goals (including the game-winner) and had two assists in a lopsided victory. He had a +4 rating and went 9-for-15 in the faceoff circle, so it's unlikely that scouts are going to cool on him anytime soon.

Michal Neuvirth will play between the pipes on Saturday.

Neuvirth will attempt to rebound after losing back-to-back games on March 14th and 17th. He has a 2.91 GAA and .882 save percentage in four games since being acquired by the Islanders.

Craig Anderson (hand) took part in Friday's optional skate.

Anderson is close to returning, but it remains to be seen if he'll be available for Saturday's game. Given that Andrew Hammond (lower body) is now hurting, the Senators would certainly benefit from a healthy Anderson.

Kevin Shattenkirk (abdomen) will return to the Blues' lineup on Saturday.

That's been suspected for days, but now we have confirmation so feel free to adjust your lineup accordingly. Shattenkirk has eight goals and 40 points in 49 games in 2014-15. He is projected to play alongside Barret Jackman. Robert Bortuzzo will move to the press box as a result.
Mar 27 - 1:11 PM

Erik Cole (upper body) didn't take part in Friday's practice.

Cole should be regarded as doubtful for Saturday and Sunday's contests. He was hurt during Tuesday's game against Arizona. With him sidelined, Gustav Nyquist has gotten playing time with Justin Abdelkader and Henrik Zetterberg.
Mar 27 - 12:23 PM

The Philadelphia Flyers have summoned Brandon Manning.

Manning will help fill the void left by Andrew MacDonald, who will miss the rest of the season with a hand injury. Manning has 43 points and 150 penalty minutes in 58 AHL contests in 2014-15. The 24-year-old defenseman is worth keeping an eye on as he might have some fantasy value for what little is left of the season.
Mar 27 - 11:33 AM

Brandon Dubinsky (upper body) took part in Thursday's practice.

Dubinsky has missed four straight games because of the injury. He's being penciled in for Friday's game against Chicago though. He has nine goals and 25 points in 38 contests in 2014-15.
Mar 27 - 11:01 AM

Andrew Hammond admitted after Thursday's loss to the New York Rangers that he's dealing with an injury.

He allowed five goals on 22 shots before getting the hook and he was seen grimacing on the bench after he returned from the dressing room. Hammond received his first regulation loss after a 14-0-1 start. It doesn't sound like the ailment will keep him out of the lineup, but it's something to monitor.
Mar 27 - 10:16 AM

Petr Mrazek will be in goal for Saturday's game against Tampa Bay.

Coach Mike Babcock made the call after Jimmy Howard posted a pair of poor starts. Howard was pulled in Thursday's 6-4 loss to San Jose, but Mrazek got the loss after he allowed two goals on 19 shots.
Mar 27 - 9:16 AM

Reto Berra was dominant in his 33-save, 4-1 victory over the Vancouver Canucks on Thursday night. It was Berra's first NHL victory since Nov. 6th, 2014, a span of 11 games for him.

Berra made all 22 saves at even strength, plus eight more while on the kill. Only being beaten on a blast of a slapper by Yannick Weber. The win improves Berra's record to 3-3-1 with 28 goals against across 16 games this season.
Mar 27 - 1:16 AM

Pekka Rinne made 28 saves on 30 shots to backstop Nashville to a 3-2 victory over Tampa Bay on Thursday night.

The star goaltender's third straight win gives him 40 victories on the season, three short of his career high in 2011-2012. Rinne has compiled an excellent 40-15-4 record this year with a .927 save percentage and 2.08 goals against average.
Mar 27 - 1:11 AM

Ondrej Pavelec earned his sixth straight win in fine fashion on Thursday night, turning aside 39 of 41 shots from the Canadiens in a 5-2 victory.

Pavelec improves to 6-1 in the month of March with a .963 save percentage and 1.15 goals against average. The hot 27-year-old is getting the job done for Winnipeg, who are clutching on to the final Wild Card spot in the West with a three point lead over Calgary.
