Swedish Elitserien club Frolunda has reportedly gathered the necessary financing to cover the cost of Henrik Lundqvist's insurance.

According to the Goteborgs-Posten and other Swedish news outlets, the estimated amount is about $30,000 a month to protect the Rangers netminder, who has two years left on his current NHL contract at $13.75 million. His agent, Don Meehan, told the New York Post via e-mail Sunday night that there was "nothing to report" on his client with respect to Frolunda. However, a deal could be struck relatively soon considering the amount of interest that both sides have shown for one another since the lockout began.
