The accolades for Justin Schultz continue to roll in during his first professional season.

He was named the AHL player of the month for October and now he's the rookie of the month for November. Schultz recorded five goals, 19 points and a plus-10 rating in 13 games last month to earn the award. The Oklahoma City defenseman still holds the league-scoring lead with 31 points after 20 matches.

Mike Cammalleri will be scratched for the second straight game during Sunday's rematch with the Islanders.

Mark it the first time in the talented veteran's career that he's a healthy scratch in consecutive games. Cammalleri has not found the back of the net in 18 games and while he has 10 goals and 30 points in 51 games, the Devils expect a lot more out of him offensively.

Ryan McDonagh snapped his 21-game goal drought during Sunday's 2-1 win over the Capitals.

The Captain picked up a dozen helpers in that span, so it's not as though he's been unable to contribute to the Rangers' success. He also blocked five shots in the game. For the season McDonagh has three goals and 33 points.

Bobby Ryan has been placed on I/R with a hand injury, which is suspected to be broken. He is out indefinitely.

The veteran winger has been hampered by a hand injury all season long, this we knew. But perhaps this is the breaking point, no pun intended. In 50 games he has 12 goals and 24 points but has fired just 84 pucks on net.

Paul Stastny is probable for Monday's game against Florida.

Stastny has missed four games with a lower-body injury but he is closing in on a return. The Blues sent Kenny Agostino back to the AHL Saturday which is a good indicator that Stastny should be ready to go Monday against the Cats.

The Capitals have tabbed Philipp Grubauer to take on the Rangers in Sunday's matinee.

The understudy has been sensational this season, posting a 10-3-2 record in 15 games with a trio of shutouts, a 1.98 GAA and a .931 save percentage. He also boasts 10 Quality Starts and zero Really Bad Starts.

The Calgary Flames lost 2-1 in overtime to the Vancouver Canucks despite a considerable shot advantage, so Ryan Miller was a big difference-maker.

Miller made 35 out of 36 stops (including two shorthanded and 11 on Flames power plays) to grab just his second win in his past six appearances. The Canucks have allowed 33+ SOG in four of Miller's last five shots, so he's having to overcome quite a bit in net.

Aleksander Barkov's 3-2 goal proved decisive as the Florida Panthers beat the Los Angeles Kings by that score on Saturday.

Barkov also had an assist on a Jonathan Huberdeau goal while Jaromir Jagr grabbed a helper of his own, keeping that trio red-hot. Barkov is on a tear overall with 20 points in his last 17 games. This win at least briefly places the Panthers in the Atlantic Division's third spot.

Jason Zucker and Mikko Koivu both hit point milestones in a 5-2 win against the Predators Saturday night.

Zucker scored twice to give him 18 goals on the season and he added an assist to surpass 100 career points. Koivu scored the game winner and nabbed his 600th career point, which is the team record. Saturday night’s game would be dominated by the number 17, as Zucker, Koivu, Mikael Granlund and Eric Staal scored for the 17th time of this season. Zucker has 41 points in 58 games.
Feb 19 - 12:28 AM

Cam Talbot blocked 38 of 39 shots as the Oilers defeated the Blackhawks 3-1 Saturday night.

Talbot came within one stop of earning his sixth shutout of the season, but this was his best game otherwise. It is the eighth time this year that he has earned a save percentage north of .970, making him one of the top goalie prospects on a regular basis.

Antoine Roussel earned his first hat trick of the season as the Dallas Stars beat the Tampa Bay Lightning 4-3 in overtime Saturday night.

Roussel accounted for all three of the Stars’ regulation goals. Trailing 2-0 almost 13 minutes in the first, he scored at the 12:50 and 18:50 minute marks to tie the contest. The Bolts held the Stars scoreless through the second and Roussel tied the game for a second time at 4:40 in the third, sending the game into overtime where Jamie Benn scored the game winner. This was not only Roussel’s first hat trick of the season, but also the first time he scored more than a single goal.
Feb 18 - 10:49 PM

Derick Brassard scored two goals and had one assist in a 6-3 victory over the Maple Leafs Saturday night.

Brassard’s assist came on a Chris Wideman goal that gave the Senators an early 1-0 lead. His first goal of the night wound up as the game winner and he added one more into an empty net in the closing minute. With these two goals, Brassard snapped a seven-game goalless streak. This is the first time this season that he scored three points in a game.
