Daniel and Henrik Sedin made a surprise appearance at the Vancouver Thunderbirds practice Thursday.

The Thunderbirds are a Midget Triple A team and the Sedins participated in their practice as part of an NHLPA initiative. "It brought back a lot of memories of when I was younger, especially thinking of us and when we were starting out, playing at night on an outdoor rink," Henrik said. "You’d be out there at 7:30 or 8 at night. We’d have big lights to light it all up and we’d be out there practicing for an hour and a half". Needless to say, the 15-year olds were thrilled to get a chance to workout with the twins. You think the Sedins miss hockey?

He blanked Detroit on January 4 and Dallas on January 10, and while he came up one shy of getting his third shutout this month, his save percentage of .964 was stellar by any measure.

The last three losses all came in overtime.
