Kimmo Timonen has spent the lockout preparing for the upcoming year following off-season back surgery, but he isn't sure how his body will hold up in a shortened schedule.

"It won't be that easy," he admitted. "That's going to be probably four or five games a week sometimes. That's way less than (the usual) 82 games, but 48 in a short period of time might be even worse for me." It's worth noting that he is fully recovered from the procedure he underwent in May to remove a disc fragment from his lower back. The 37-year-old defenseman had four goals and 43 points in 76 games with the Flyers during the 2011-12 campaign. His career appears to be drawing to a close, but a healthy Timonen, which he is, can still be a solid fantasy asset if we get hockey back shortly.

Tyler Myers (lower body) will play in Game 5 against Minnesota on Friday night.

Myers took part in the morning skate and declared himself good to go afterward. He said the lower-body injury he sustained last Sunday did not occur when he appeared to be punched in the knee by Minnesota's Marcus Foligno.

Tyler Myers (lower body) is on the ice for Friday's morning skate.

Winnipeg is hopeful that he can play in Game 5 after he missed Tuesday's contest versus Minnesota. Myers looked good in the session, but don't be surprised if he's listed as a game-time decision.

Coach Bruce Cassidy hopes to have Patrice Bergeron (lower body) back for Game 5 on Saturday.

Bergeron did not play Thursday night because of a nagging lower-body injury. Cassidy said the issue is something the Bruins center has been dealing with for a bit.

Evgeny Kuznetsov picked up a goal and two assists in Thursday's 4-1 win over the Columbus Blue Jackets.

Kuznetsov registered the primary assists on goals by Tom Wilson (1-0) and Alex Ovechkin (3-0) before he added an empty-netter late in the game. The 25-year-old finished the game with a plus-3 rating, two penalty minutes and four shots on goal in 20:44 of ice time. Kuznetsov now has three goals and two assists in four games this postseason. After dropping the first two games of the series on home ice, the Capitals managed to win back-to-back games in Columbus. Game 5 will be played in Washington on Saturday afternoon.

Brad Marchand scored the game-winning goal in Thursday's 3-1 win over the Toronto Maple Leafs.

The Bruins' top line still managed to damage even though Patrice Bergeron (upper body) didn't play. Marchand gave the Bruins a 2-1 lead at the 16:55 mark of the second frame, and they never looked back. He finished the game with a plus-1 rating, two shots on goal and one hit in 20:25 of ice time. The 29-year-old has been a machine in this series, as he's picked up two goals and five assists in four games. The Bruins now have a 3-1 lead in the best-of-seven series. Game 5 will be played in Boston on Saturday night.

P.K. Subban has been chosen as one of the nominees for the Norris Trophy.

He won the award during the lockout-shortened 2012-13 season. Subban's second year as a member of the Nashville Predators went very well. He had 16 goals and 59 points in 82 games during the regular season. The 28-year-old also finished with a plus-18 rating and 82 penalty minutes. Los Angeles' Drew Doughty and Tampa Bay's Victor Hedman are the other two nominees for the award.

Riley Nash will center Brad Marchand and David Pastrnak in Game 4 against Toronto on Thursday night.

Nash is getting bumped to the top line because Patrice Bergeron (upper body) is unable to suit up tonight. The 28-year-old made his 2018 postseason debut in Game 3 after missed the first two games of the series because of an injury of his own. Nash had no points in that game. This news makes him an intriguing option in daily fantasy leagues.

Patrice Bergeron will not suit up in Game 4 against the Toronto Maple Leafs on Thursday night.

This is a surprising development. Bergeron is the center of Boston's top line, which is arguably the best trio in the NHL with Brad Marchand and David Pastrnak. Not having the 32-year-old is the lineup is huge for the Bruins, who lead the best-of-seven series 2-1. Based on the line rushes during the pre-game warmup, Riley Nash will take his spot on the first line. Bergeron has no goals, five assists and a plus-4 rating this postseason.

Ryan Hartman has been issued a one-game suspension for hitting Colorado's Carl Soderberg in the head.

The incident happened in the third period of Wednesday's game. The NHL felt Hartman chose a poor angle to deliver his check and made Soderberg's head the main point of contact when it was avoidable. Hartman won't be allowed to play on Friday as a result.

Patric Hornqvist (upper body) won't return for Game 5.

As previously reported, Hornqvist missed Thursday's practice, but the silver lining is that he did skate on his own before that. Dominik Simon will stay on the top line with Sidney Crosby and Jake Guentzel due to Hornqvist's absence.

Andrew Hammond will be the Avalanche's starter for Game 5 on Friday.

This wasn't the plan, but Semyon Varlamov and now Jonathan Bernier are both injured, so the Avalanche's hands are tied. At least the Avalanche have a third-string goaltender with a bit of playoff experience, even if it's not a lot. Hammond has a 3.00 GAA and .921 save percentage in three career postseason games.
