Rick Nash scored his league-leading seventh goal of the season in New York’s 4-0 win over the San Jose Sharks on Sunday.

Nash scored late in the second period to make it 3-0 for the Rangers. It’s nice to see that his concussion issues are behind him. The 30-year-old was limited to 65 games last season. Nash now has eight points in six games. He’s back to being one of the better snipers in the league. Carl Hagelin, Martin St.L Louis and Kevin Hayes also scored for the Rangers.

Henrik Lundqvist stopped all 33 shots he faced in New York’s 4-0 win over the San Jose Sharks on Sunday.

After allowing six goals in back-to-back games, Lundqvist has now allowed just one goal in his last two starts. Despite the slow start, the Rangers goaltender should still be considered an elite goalie in the NHL.

The Tampa Bay Lightning have recalled forward Jonathan Drouin from Syracuse of the AHL.

Drouin suffered a thumb injury in camp and was sent to the AHL on a conditioning assignment last week. He should get an opportunity to cement his place in Tampa Bay's lineup.

Ryan Suter registered an assist and played a game-high 32:50 in Minnesota’s 2-1 loss to Los Angeles on Sunday.

32:50 is a season-high for Suter. The 29-year-old got an assist on Matt Cooke’s third period goal. Even though Minnesota has struggled to score of late, Suter is having himself a very good season. He has one goal and three assists in four games this year. The Wild outshot the Kings 41-16, but Los Angeles goaltender Jonathan Quick got the better of Minnesota.

According to Tampa Bay head coach Jon Cooper, Victor Hedman (hand) could miss significant time.

Hedman suffered the hand injury blocking a shot in Saturday's win in Vancouver. "It’s unfortunate, clearly,’’ Cooper said. "We are going to test our depth, and it puts more pressure on the D corps as a whole, and we played two-thirds of the game (Saturday) without him and I thought our guys stood pretty strong. But you feel for Heddy, he’s coming out of gates so strong and just building on the season he had last year and now it looks like he might be sidelined here for a little bit." Losing Hedman is a huge blow for the Lightning. The 23-year-old has seven points in five games this season.

Blues' coach Ken Hitchcock said that center Paul Stastny (wrist) will not play against Anaheim on Sunday night.

Stastny suffered the injury in Saturday's 6-1 win over Arizona. Stastny left the ice clutching his left wrist. He is day-to-day at this point. The 28-year-old has one goal and four points in four games this season.

Johnny Gaudreau understood why he was a healthy scratch on Friday.

It's always tough for a rookie to be a healthy scratch but Johnny Gaudreau took it the right way as it was to be a learning experience and not a punishment for struggling in the early going. "It was good for me," Gaudreau said. "I talked to Coach Hartley about it and it’s something a young player needs to learn from. And I talked to a few of the guys here and they said everyone goes through it. I’m just a young guy learning the ropes around here. No one really likes sitting, but it’s something that’s eventually going to benefit me." Gaudreau was pointless through his first five games and had only one shot on goal. Look for him to be back in the Flames lineup quickly. By the way, he looked great in practice on Saturday but coach Bob Hartley would not say if he will be in the lineup Sunday.

Victor Hedman will miss at least the next four games after sustaining a hand injury Saturday night, according to The Tampa Tribune’s Erik Erlendsson.

And his absence could last much longer than that. The Lightning defenseman appeared to injure his right hand in the second period on a shot block. Erlendsson reported after the game that Hedman is heading back to Tampa Bay to be evaluated and that he would miss at least the rest of the road trip. Just 23, Hedman has already become a top-flight defenseman. He entered the game with three goals and four assists.

Jaden Schwartz recorded his first career hat trick as the Blues blasted the Coyotes 6-1 on Saturday night.

The Blues’ power-play dominated in this game, striking on all four of its opportunities, with Schwartz getting two of them. The 22-year-old also assisted on David’ Backes’ first-period marker. Schwartz broke out last season with 25 goals and 31 assists, and after signing a two-year bridge deal, the pressure is on him to build on it. He’s off to a promising start, with four goals and seven points in four games. Jori Lehtera had a goal and two helpers, while Alexander Steen enjoyed a two-point night with a goal and an assist. Backes also had an assist in addition to his goal, while Vladimir Tarasenko (three) and Kevin Shattenkirk (two) had multi-assist games.
