New Jersey Devils coach Pete DeBoer says Adam Henrique (thumb) will be back in seven to 10 days.

Henrique still isn't shooting the puck, but that should come shortly. It appears he's on track to return in time to play Feb. 2 against the Penguins at the latest. Once he returns, he'll definitely get top-six ice time. The question is whether he'll get the chance to play with Ilya Kovalchuk.

Evgeni Malkin scored a hat trick to help the Penguins end the Washington Capitals' nine-game winning streak with a wild 8-7 victory in overtime in Pittsburgh Monday night.

Jared Coreau stopped all 18 Canadiens shots in a 1-0 victory Monday afternoon.

Coreau earned his second straight victory and his second shutout in eight career games. He hasn't always been good, but the struggling Red Wings have done well with Coreau in net as his record now stands at 5-1-1.

Jack Eichel scored two goals in Buffalo's 4-1 win over Dallas on Monday.

Those were Eichel's ninth and 10th markers in just 22 games this season. Tyler Ennis and Jake McCabe scored Buffalo's other two goals. Kyle Okposo and Sam Reinhart each registered an assist for the Sabres.
Jan 16 - 3:53 PM

Thomas Greiss stopped all 32 shots in the Islanders' 4-0 win over Boston Monday afternoon.

That's one way to bounce back from a loss to Carolina where Greiss surrendered seven goals on a staggering 43 shots. Greiss was appearing in his 21st contest of 2016-17 and this was his first shutout of the season and the fifth of his career. He's become the Islanders' clear starter now that Jaroslav Halak is in the minors, so New York will naturally need more strong performances from Greiss like this one if they are to claw back into the playoff race.

Mika Zibanejad (leg) has been taken off the injured reserve list.

That's not surprising given that Zibanejad declared himself good to play on Tuesday, but it does make his return all-but certain. The Rangers created a roster spot for him by sending Marek Hrivik to the minors.
Jan 16 - 3:03 PM

Michael Hutchinson will play between the pipes on Monday.

Hutchinson is playing in his fourth straight game. He has a 3.18 GAA and .896 save percentage in 19 games.
Jan 16 - 2:04 PM

The Rangers expect Antti Raanta (lower body) to be out for 7-10 days.

The Rangers have summoned Magnus Hellberg to serve in the backup role in the meantime. Raanta has a 2.24 GAA and .923 save percentage in 17 games this season.
Jan 16 - 12:56 PM

John Carlson (lower body) isn't available on Monday.

Carlson left Sunday's contest due to the injury. He has five goals and 25 points in 43 contests in 2016-17.
Jan 16 - 12:11 PM

Look for Matt Murray to start on Monday.

That's based on the fact that Murray was the first goalie off the ice following the morning skate. He has a 2.28 GAA and .925 save percentage in 20 contests this season.
Jan 16 - 12:09 PM

The Penguins regard Kris Letang (knee) as being out week-to-week.

As previously reported, Letang has been put on the injured reserve list. He has four goals and 23 points in 30 games this season. He's a superb offensive defenseman, but unfortunately he also has a long history of injuries.
