Wojtek Wolski skated on Washington's top line during Thursday's morning skate.

He occupied the left side with Alex Ovechkin on the right and Nicklas Backstrom at center. "I think I'm working hard, I'm moving my feet," said Wolski who scored in the Capitals' opener. "I'm getting up in the play and creating opportunities, turnovers. I think that's going to give Nicky and Ovi the opportunity to get some scoring chances." Marcus Johansson, who had that spot in the first two games of the year, has been demoted to the fourth line.

Kucherov scored his 33rd of the season Saturday, before assisting on Ryan Callahan's game-tying goal. The Russian also added seven shots on goal and two hits in the victory. Tampa also got a goal from Brayden Point before winning the game in the shootout. Kucherov has 33 goals and 82 points in 62 games this season.

Evgenii Dadonov scored a hat-trick, a +2 rating, three shots on goal in 20:16 of ice-time in a 6-5 win over the Pittsburgh Penguins on Saturday night.

Evgeni Malkin scored twice and added an assist in 17:13 of ice-time, with three shots on goal in a 6-5 loss to the Florida Panthers on Saturday night.

Malkin's points streak is at six following Saturday night's loss. The Russian scored his goals in the second and third period. Malkin is also keeping pace behind Alexander Ovechkin for the goalscoring lead. Malkin now has 36 goals, two behind Oveckhin's 38, to go with 76 points in 59 games this season.
Feb 24 - 10:47 PM

Alexander Ovechkin scored twice, including his league leading 38th, in a 5-1 victory over the Buffalo Sabres on Saturday night.

Ovechkin's points streak was extended to four on Saturday after his sixth multi-goal game of the season. The Russian dynamo continues to lead the league in goals, making him the frontrunner for another Rocket Richard trophy. Ovechkin has 38 goals and 70 points in 62 games this season.
Feb 24 - 10:28 PM

Pierre-Luc Dubois scored a goal and an assist in 17:39 of ice-time in a 3-2 win over the Chicago Blackhawks on Saturday night.

Dubois now has four points in his last four games for the Blue Jackets. He's also got six multi-point games this season. Jeff Carter (ankle) will be back in the lineup Saturday night.

Los Angeles has activated him from injured reserve and he will return from a 55-game absence against Edmonton.
Feb 24 - 9:36 PM

The Boston Bruins are reportedly the frontrunner in the Rick Nash sweepstakes.

The Bruins have the prospect pool to make it work in addition to control of their first round pick, so it's more of a question of if Boston and the Rangers can agree on a price and if they make the cap situation work. Nash isn't the star he once was and it wouldn't be surprising if the final price for him feels like overpaying for his services. That being said, he is still a significant offensive threat and one of the most appealing forwards available.
Feb 24 - 8:58 PM

Tristan Jarry will be between the pipes for Saturday's game against the Florida Panthers.

Jarry is getting the nod tonight because Matt Murray was between the pipes for last night's win over Carolina. The Pens backup netminder has a 10-4-2 record with a 2.41 goals-against-average and a .921 save percentage this season.
Feb 24 - 5:03 PM

Evander Kane will not be in Buffalo's lineup for Saturday's game against the Washington Capitals.

Kane, who's a pending unrestricted free agent, will be moved before Monday's trade deadline, so the Sabres don't want to risk him suffering an injury. The 26-year-old has 20 goals and 20 assists in 61 games this season. Buffalo GM Jason Botteril should be able to land a solid return for his services from a contending team.
Feb 24 - 4:59 PM

Mike Hoffman scored a goal and an assist in Saturday's 5-3 loss to the Philadelphia Flyers.

Trade winds have been swirling around Hoffman for a while, but that didn't stop him from producing this afternoon. His power-play tally at the 12:14 mark of the first period cut Philadelphia's lead to 2-1. The Sens forward also registered an assist on Matt Duchene's goal late in the third frame. Hoffman now has 17 goals and 41 points in 61 games this season. There's still a decent chance that he could be moved before Monday's trade deadline.
Feb 24 - 4:46 PM

Brandon Manning picked up a goal and two assists in Saturday's 5-3 win over the Ottawa Senators.

Manning did all of his damage in the third period, as he registered the primary helpers on goal by Claude Giroux and Nolan Patrick before scoring the flukiest goal you've ever seen. Manning dumped the puck into Ottawa's end, the puck bounced off the corner boards before sliding right into the Senators net. The Flyers blue liner finished the game with a plus-3 rating, three shots on goal, three hits and four blocked shots in 18:04 of ice time. He's now accumulated five points in his last four games. He's up to six goals and 15 points in 47 games this season. Despite his recent surge in offensive production, Manning won't be worth adding in any fantasy format.
