Gabriel Landeskog (head) has been placed on the injured reserve list.

Landeskog will not be available on Saturday. Although Landeskog suffered both a head and leg injury during Saturday's contest, only the head injury is a problem now, according to Avalanche coach Joe Sacco. There is no timetable for his return.

Jonathan Quick allowed two goals on 23 shots in a 4-2 win over the New York Rangers.

Outside the opening seven or so minutes, Quick took advantage of a tired looking Rangers team that was on the second half of a back-to-back to break his five-game losing streak. The win improves his record to 20-16-2 with a 2.34 goals against average and a .924 save percentage.
Jan 22 - 1:23 AM

Aaron Dell stopped 33 of 35 shots in a 6-2 win over the Anaheim Ducks.

Dell has remarkably not suffered a regulation loss since Nov. 18, going 10-0-2 since then. With Martin Jones sidelined with a minor lower-body injury, the Sharks are in great hands and fantasy owners should strongly consider picking up Dell if they are in need of goaltending help. Dell's record improves to 12-3-2 with a 2.17 goals against average and .929 save percentage. The journeyman will get a nice raise on his $650,000 salary at the end of the season if he keeps this up.
Jan 22 - 12:07 AM

Ryan Getzlaf scored a goal and picked up an assist in a 6-2 loss to the San Jose Sharks.

The Sharks appeared to lose Getzlaf who found his way to the front of the net for the easy tap-in off a feed from Ondrej Kase. Since Getzlaf has returned from his facial injury, he has picked up 21 points in 18 games. He's still available in 10% of Yahoo leagues and should be scooped up if he is lying around on your waiver wire. The 32-year-old's assist came on a power play goal scored by Rickard Rakell.
Jan 22 - 12:00 AM

Connor Hellebuyck pitched a perfect performance against the Canucks on Sunday night.

Hellebuyck stopped all 29 shots that came his way, and the Jets needed every one of those saves in the 1-0 victory. The 24-year-old continues to show he's the team's goalie of the future. He's 25-6-6 this season with a 2.29 goals against average and .926 save percentage.
Jan 21 - 11:17 PM

Colin Miller notched a goal and two assists in Sunday evening's 5-1 win over Carolina to lift the Golden Knights to the top of the NHL standings.

Miller had not recorded a point in his previous eight games, but was all over the ice in Carolina. The Golden Knights built an early lead, hung on for the victory and move within two wins of tying the record for expansion team wins. Miller has six goals and 24 points in 46 games.
Jan 21 - 9:08 PM

Joonas Donskoi won't play Sunday night against Anaheim because of the flu.

Jannik Hansen will take Donskoi's spot in the lineup. Consider him day-to-day for now.
Jan 21 - 7:49 PM

Bo Horvat (ankle) will indeed be back in the lineup on Sunday night.

Horvat was activated by the Canucks and he will play for the first time since Dec. 5. He has 10 goals and 20 points in 28 games this season. He is projected to play between Brock Boeser and Sven Baertschi.
Jan 21 - 7:44 PM

Ondrej Palat sustained an injury during the third period of Saturday's game.

Palat was speared by Minnesota's Jared Spurgeon. It was originally clear how serious Palat's injury was, but it's been revealed that he's returned to Tampa Bay for testing. Meanwhile, the Lightning will play in Chicago Monday night. He has eight goals and 30 points in 46 contests this season.
Jan 21 - 4:55 PM

Brian Elliott turned aside 27 of 28 shots in a 2-1 overtime win against Washington Sunday afternoon.

The only goal Elliott did surrender was a power-play marker to star forward Alex Ovechkin. Elliott has now won four of his last five games, but he hasn't been that great through much of that run. In fact, this was his first start Dec. 23 where he allowed two or fewer goals.
Jan 21 - 3:40 PM

Jeff Glass will start for the Blackhawks Monday night.

Anton Forsberg got the start on Saturday and was eventually yanked after allowing five goals on 35 shots. Glass didn't look great either though as he saved just nine of 11 shots in the blowout loss. Glass is 3-2-1 with a 3.34 GAA and .905 save percentage in seven contests this season.
Jan 21 - 2:54 PM

Artem Anisimov (upper body) will make his return to the Blackhawks' lineup on Monday.

It will be Anisimov's first game since Dec. 28. The Blackhawks haven't finalized their lines for Monday's contest, but Anisimov did practice alongside Alex DeBrincat and Ryan Hartman on the third unit Sunday afternoon.
