Thomas Greiss could get the start in goal Monday when the Sharks take on Anaheim.

The Sharks play back-to-back games on Monday and Tuesday and coach Todd McLellan indicated that he would not give Antti Niemi both starts so it makes sense that Niemi plays Tuesday against the red-hot Chicago Blackhawks, leaving Monday's game in the hands of Greiss. Stay tuned.

Joonas Donskoi won't play Sunday night against Anaheim because of the flu.

Jannik Hansen will take Donskoi's spot in the lineup. Consider him day-to-day for now.
Jan 21 - 7:49 PM

Bo Horvat (ankle) will indeed be back in the lineup on Sunday night.

Horvat was activated by the Canucks and he will play for the first time since Dec. 5. He has 10 goals and 20 points in 28 games this season. He is projected to play between Brock Boeser and Sven Baertschi.
Jan 21 - 7:44 PM

Ondrej Palat sustained an injury during the third period of Saturday's game.

Palat was speared by Minnesota's Jared Spurgeon. It was originally clear how serious Palat's injury was, but it's been revealed that he's returned to Tampa Bay for testing. Meanwhile, the Lightning will play in Chicago Monday night. He has eight goals and 30 points in 46 contests this season.
Jan 21 - 4:55 PM

Brian Elliott turned aside 27 of 28 shots in a 2-1 overtime win against Washington Sunday afternoon.

The only goal Elliott did surrender was a power-play marker to star forward Alex Ovechkin. Elliott has now won four of his last five games, but he hasn't been that great through much of that run. In fact, this was his first start Dec. 23 where he allowed two or fewer goals.
Jan 21 - 3:40 PM

Jeff Glass will start for the Blackhawks Monday night.

Anton Forsberg got the start on Saturday and was eventually yanked after allowing five goals on 35 shots. Glass didn't look great either though as he saved just nine of 11 shots in the blowout loss. Glass is 3-2-1 with a 3.34 GAA and .905 save percentage in seven contests this season.
Jan 21 - 2:54 PM

Artem Anisimov (upper body) will make his return to the Blackhawks' lineup on Monday.

It will be Anisimov's first game since Dec. 28. The Blackhawks haven't finalized their lines for Monday's contest, but Anisimov did practice alongside Alex DeBrincat and Ryan Hartman on the third unit Sunday afternoon.
Jan 21 - 2:52 PM

Bo Horvat has apparently been activated ahead of Sunday's match against Winnipeg.

Horvat has missed the last five weeks with a fractured ankle, but it seems like he will suit up against the Jets. At the time of his injury, Horvat was the Canucks' best player with 20 points in 28 games. Since that time Brock Boeser stepped up big time (41 points in 43 games) and will now form a great duo with Horvat. Activate Horvat without delay.
Jan 21 - 1:49 PM

Trevor Daley (lower body) won't play on Monday or Tuesday.

Daley left Saturday's contest as a result of the injury. He has three goals and seven points in 43 contests this season.
Jan 21 - 1:02 PM

Jesse Puljujarvi scored a goal and picked up two assists in a 5-2 win over the Minnesota Wild.

Puljujarvi scored the game-winning goal, scooping up the rebound off Adam Larsson's point shot and putting it in behind Jacob Markstrom for his ninth of the year. The former fourth overall pick is now up to 14 points in 30 games and is always someone to keep an eye on because of his immense offensive potential. Patrick Maroon (x2), Leon Draisaitl and Jujhar Khaira also scored in the win.
Jan 21 - 1:13 AM

Eric Staal picked up a couple of helpers in a 5-2 win over the Tampa Bay Lightning.

Staal picked up an assist on Jared Spurgeon's opening goal, and he also had the secondary assist on Zach Parise's first goal of the season. Staal has now picked up 72 points in 71 career games against the Lightning and the 33-year-old center is up to 19 goals and 40 points in 47 games this season.
Jan 21 - 1:05 AM

Ryan Pulock scored a goal and added four assists in a 7-3 win over the Chicago Blackhawks on Saturday night.

Prior to Saturday night's game, Pulock didn't register more than two points in a game. Tonight, he had a hand in five of the Islanders' seven goals against Chicago. He assisted on goals from Anthony Beauvillier, Jordan Eberle, and Brock Nelson. He also added a goal of his own in the opening period. Pulock has four goals and 14 points in 34 games this season.
