Ryan Getzlaf scored a goal and an assist in Sunday's 3-1 win over Dallas.

By scoring two points tonight, Getzlaf tied Paul Kariya for second all-time on the Ducks' scoring list with 669 career points. Getzlaf registered an assist on Corey Perry's first period goal and he scored a goal of his own late in the third period. The 29-year-old has collected at least one point in five of his last six games. Getzlaf has 20 goals and 61 points in 61 games this season.

Braden Holtby stopped all 32 shots he faced in Sunday's 4-0 win over Toronto.

Holtby came into this game on a personal three-game losing streak but leave it to Toronto to bust an opposing player's slump. Holtby's record improves to 30-15-9 this season and he has a 2.16 goals-against-average and a .925 save percentage. The 25-year-old has won 30 games in a season for the first time in his career.

Alex Ovechkin scored two goals and an assist in Sunday's 4-0 win over Toronto.

Ovechkin scored his 40th and 41st goals in the contest. He also picked up an assist on Marcus Johansson's third period power play goal. Ovechkin was named the third star in the NHL for the month of February and he got off to a hot start in March. He has 65 points in 64 games this season. He finished the game with six shots on goal, two hits and a blocked shot in 17:52 of ice time.

Evgeni Malkin scored two goals and one assist in Sunday's 5-3 win over Columbus.

The 28-year-old has posted three consecutive three-point games. Malkin scored his first goal at the 18:55 mark of the first period to tie the game at one. His second goal was scored on the power play and it gave the Penguins a 3-1 lead in the game. He also picked up an assist on David Perron's second period goal. Malkin now has 25 goals and 64 points in 57 games this season.

Jaromir Jagr scored a goal and an assist in Florida's 4-3 win over Tampa Bay.

The 43-year-old was named the game's first star for his effort. Jagr opened the scoring at the 10:24 mark of the first period. He also picked up the primary assist on Aleksander Barkov's second period to give Florida a 2-1 lead. Jagr finished the game with a plus-2 rating and three shots on goal in 17:07 of action. The goal was the 717th of Jagr's career, which tied him for fifth on the NHL's all time list with Phil Esposito.

The Dallas Stars have traded Erik Cole and a conditional third round pick to the Detroit Red Wings for prospects Mattias Backman, Mattas Janmark and a 2nd round pick in 2015.

The 36-year-old is in the final year of his contract. He has 18 goals and 33 points in 57 games with the Stars this season. He is a big body who will add some good depth on the wing for Detroit. Cole has 14 points in 46 career playoff games. He won the Stanley Cup with the Carolina Hurricanes in 2005-06.

Ladd had a very impressive stat line in this game. He had the two goals, a plus-2 rating, two penalty minutes, seven shots and two hits in 18:55 of ice time. Both of Ladd's goals were scored in the second period. The 29-year-old has 22 goals and 52 points in 64 games this season. Drew Stafford, Tyler Myers and Blake Wheeler also scored for the Jets.

The New York Rangers have acquired Keith Yandle, Chris Summers and a 4th round pick from the Arizona Coyotes for prospect Anthony Duclair, John Moore, a first round pick in 2016 and a 2nd round pick in 2015.

This is a blockbuster deal and a huge acquisition for the Rangers. Yandle, 28, is a highly-regarded offensive defenseman who has spent his entire career with the Coyotes to this point. He has four goals, 41 points and a minus-32 rating on a bad Arizona team. He is on pace to hit the 50-point mark for the third time in his career. The Coyotes are believed to be retaining 50 percent of Yandle's salary. He has one year remaining on his contract after this season.

The 28-year-old registered a 1.64 goals-against-average, a .939 save percentage and three shutouts throughout the month.

Anders Lee has been named the NHL's rookie of the month for February.

Lee scored seven goals and 15 points in 15 games throughout the month. The 24-year-old was the Islanders' sixth round pick in 2009. Lee has 20 goals and 33 points in 58 games this season.

The Calgary Flames have placed Mark Giordano (upper body) on injured reserve.

This is a huge blow to Calgary's playoff chances as Giordano is having his best season as a pro. The 31-year-old has been a legitimate Norris trophy candidate this season. He has 11 goals, 48 points and a plus-13 rating while averaging over 25 minutes for the Flames.
