Kari Lehtonen (groin) didn't skate Wednesday, but he made some progress off the ice.

"We're working him out pretty hard and he hasn't had any problems with it, so the injury hasn't gotten worse," coach Glen Gulutzan said. "That's a good sign. He's gone hard with therapy and rehab, so he is certainly ahead of the injury that he had last year (which kept him out 12 games). It's not to the same extent." Lehtonen has been quietly good this season with a 7-2-1 record, a .934 save percentage and a 2.12 GAA.

Braden Holtby turned aside all 24 shots he faced in Monday's 3-0 win over the Tampa Bay Lightning in Game 6 of the Eastern Conference Final.

He now owns an 11-6 record with a 2.16 goals-against-average and a .919 save percentage in the postseason. This best-of-seven series is now tied up at three. Game 7 will be played in Tampa Bay on Wednesday night. The winner of that game will take on the Vegas Golden Knights in the Stanley Cup Final.

T.J. Oshie scored a pair of goals in Monday's 3-0 win over the Tampa Bay Lightning in Game 6 of the Eastern Conference Final.

He came into this game with no goals in his previous six games. Oshie opened the scoring on the power play when he ripped a one-timer from the slot past Lightning goalie Andrei Vasilevskiy. The Capitals forward then added an empty-netter with less than one minute to go in regulation. The 31-year-old finished the night with a plus-1 rating, five shots on goal and two hits in 20:44 of ice time. Oshie is now up to seven goals and 15 points in 18 games this postseason. Devante Smith-Pelly also found the back of the net for the Capitals on Monday night. This best-of-seven series is now tied up at three. Game 7 will be played in Tampa Bay on Wednesday night.
