Taylor Hall remains questionable to play in Sunday's game against the Wild due to a hamstring injury he suffered in Friday's loss to the Blues.

The notion that the Oilers will use Hall's conveniently-timed ailment as an excuse to hold him out of the lineup for the rematch with Minnesota was dismissed by Hall, as he proclaimed his desire to play if he's fit enough to do so, even if it means he'll be a point of focus for his opponents. "I honestly don’t know what to expect," Hall said. "I wouldn’t say I’d be targetted but I’ll be hit a couple of times. That’s acceptable. I don’t see myself having to fight. I don’t like fighting." It should be noted that Hall has only engaged in one career NHL fight, with the Blue Jackets Derek Dorsett, and he sprained his ankle in the process.

Kris Letang will play on Monday in Game 1 of the Stanley Cup Final.

He had a scheduled media appearance on Monday, which raised some eyebrows about his availability for the contest, but he said he was fine to play. Letang practiced on Saturday prior to sitting on Sunday for maintenance.

Patrick Marleau played 165 playoff games before reaching his first Stanley Cup Final.

He lost three times in the Conference Finals and needed 16 trips to the playoffs to get to this point. The 36-year-old forward has 64 goals and 115 points in the postseason, including 12 points in 18 games in 2016.

Kris Letang didn't take part in Penguins practice on Sunday.

Letang didn't meet the media and coach Mike Sullivan didn't provide an update on his status. All signs point to Letang being available for Game 1, but we won't know for sure until tomorrow. The 29-year-old has two goals and 10 points in 17 postseason games in 2016. The Pens can't afford to be without Letang under normal circumstances, but the fact that Trevor Daley (ankle) isn't available makes him even more important.

Matt Cullen left practice Saturday a few minutes early and did not return.

The Pittsburgh Tribune-Review stated that Cullen seemed to be walking 'gingerly' back to the locker room. If there is anything wrong, it should be updated either Sunday or Monday, otherwise assume he will be in the Pittsburgh lineup for Game 1 Monday.

David Backes hopes to sign a new deal with St. Louis.

"No question this is home. We've been here 10 years and this is what we consider home. I don't know anything else," said Backes. "Hopefully it all works out, but it is the unfortunate side of sports that guys staying with one team is rare but maybe I'm one of those rare guys. That would be great." He can become an unrestricted free agent in July, but he has said all along that he wants to stay with the only team that he has played for during his NHL career.

Jonathan Drouin wants to be back with the Lightning next season.

"I definitely want to be here," Drouin said. "I love the way this ended, I guess, with this different and weird year. ... It's definitely somewhere I want to play." Drouin had a strong finish to the season when he scored in two straight games prior to the playoffs. In the postseason, he registered five goals and 14 points in 17 outings. "He makes us a better team. It's as simple as that," GM Steve Yzerman said. "What he showed me, I think the best thing for this team right now is Jonathan Drouin on it."

Marc-Andre Fleury may be struggling as the backup goalie in Pittsburgh.

Fleury has started only one game in the playoffs (Game 5 in the third round against Tampa Bay) after suffering a concussion on April 2. He started backing up Matt Murray on May 2 and has mostly kept that position ever since. The Pittsburgh's Tribune-Review Rob Rossi interviewed former Penguin Maxime Talbot and Talbot said that he speaks to Fleury between games. "I could only guess how hard the games are for him," Talbot said. "But ‘Flower' is the best guy. You see him on the bench, smiling, talking to Murray during breaks. I know he's happy for the guys in the room. I know he's trying to do whatever he can to help them win. It's different."

Steven Stamkos may have played his last game with the Tampa Bay Lightning.

The Penguins eliminated the Lightning in Game 7 on Thursday night and Stamkos made a surprise return to the lineup. He is eligible for unrestricted free agency in July, but he has expressed plenty of interest in staying with Tampa Bay and hopes that something can be worked out for that to happen.

Dustin Brown has reportedly been told that he won't be the captain of the Los Angeles Kings anymore.

Brown still has six years left on his eight-year contract worth $5.875 million per season. According to TSN Senior Hockey Reporter Frank Seravalli, Los Angeles wants to go in a different direction with the captaincy. Brown was named the captain of the Kings in 2008. He was also the youngest and first American-born captain in Kings history.

Zach Parise is doing well in his recovery from a season-ending back injury.

"I'm happy [with] the way it's going because I'm able to do what I normally would do had nothing happened," Parise said. "That's why I'm really optimistic and feeling really good about it." He opted for rehabilitation instead of surgery and hopes to be ready for the World Cup of Hockey in September.

Bryan Rust, the Penguins' 24-year-old rookie third liner, scored two huge goals on Thursday night to push the Pens past Tampa Bay 2-1 and onto the Stanley Cup Final.

Rust now has five goals and eight points in 17 playoff games this season. It's only the eighth time in playoff history where a rookie has had multiple points in a Game 7. Martin Jones and the Sharks now have Sidney Crosby, Evgeni Malkin, Phil Kessel and Rust to keep an eye on, the latter of which has a three-game points streak going into Game 1 on Monday.
