Erik Johnson (concussion) skated on Sunday and was cleared for contact.

It was an optional practice for the Avs but it was good for Johnson who skated hard and could be ready to return to action as early as Tuesday. It has been a disappointing season thus far for Johnson who was taken first overall in 2006 by the Blues before being traded to Colorado in Feb. 2011. He signed a four-year extension in the off-season but has only one assist in 11 games thus far this season.

Duncan Keith was unavailable for another practice due to an illness.

It was anticipated that Keith would be able to play on Saturday despite the bug, but given that he's now missed back-to-back practices we're going to err on the side of caution and list him as day-to-day. He has no goals and 10 assists in 19 games this season.

Vladislav Kamenev suffered a broken arm in his Colorado debut Thursday night.

Kamenev is out indefinitely after he was hit hard by Washington defenseman Brooks Orpik. His third career NHL appearance lasted just eight shifts for 4:06 of ice time.

Torey Krug is listed as day-to-day with an upper-body injury.

Krug was forced to leave Wednesday's game against Anaheim and wasn't available to play Thursday night. "He didn't respond as well we liked today, so he'll be out and we'll see where he is," said coach Bruce Cassidy.

Brad Marchand (undisclosed) won't make the trip to San Jose, according to coach Bruce Cassidy.

Marchand has already missed the first two games of Boston's road trip. He's expected to sit out another Saturday versus the Sharks after he was placed on injured reserve Thursday. Marchand is retroactive to Nov. 11.

Eric Staal picked up a goal and two assists in a 6-4 win over the Nashville Predators.

Staal picked up the loose puck at the side of the goal and buried his seventh goal of the season to tie the game with just under five minutes remaining in regulation. The 33-year-old center continues his resurgence with the Wild and is currently at 17 points in 18 games this season.
Nov 16 - 10:57 PM

Ryan Johansen scored a goal and picked up two assists in a 6-4 loss to the Minnesota Wild.

Johansen scored his first goal of the season and broke Minnesota's 195 minute shutout streak just 49 seconds into the first period. It was Johansen's first goal of the season, and he is currently sitting at 11 points in 18 games this season. Now might be the only time to buy low on the talented center.
Nov 16 - 10:56 PM

Antti Raanta stopped 33 of 37 shots in a 5-4 win over the Montreal Canadiens.

His best save of the night came late in the third period when he slid across to rob Alex Galchenyuk of a tying goal. It's Raanta's second win of the season, and the first for Arizona during regulation. The 28-year-old netminder has a 2-5-2 record with a 3.27 goals against average and .903 save percentage.
Nov 16 - 10:36 PM

Andrei Vasilevskiy stopped 27 of 28 shots in a 6-1 win over the Dallas Stars.

Vasilevskiy was only beat tonight off a beautiful breakaway goal by Radek Faksa. The Russian netminder has an incredible 14-1-1 record this season with a 2.24 goals against average and a .932 save percentage.
Nov 16 - 10:24 PM

The Columbus Blue Jackets have reportedly agreed to terms on a seven-year, $40.25 million contract with Cam Atkinson.

That works out to a cap hit of $5.75 million, which isn't bad for a guy that had 35 goals and 62 points in 82 games last season. Atkinson is having a tough year this season, as he's only put up four goals and two assists in 15 games. Obviously, the Blue Jackets' front office isn't worried about his slow start. The 28-year-old was in the final year of a contract that pays him $3.5 million per season. Had they not locked him up, he would have become an unrestricted free agent at the end of the season. Atkinson is a quality hockey player, and Columbus has done well to sign him to a long-term deal.
Nov 16 - 10:03 PM

Frederik Andersen stopped all 42 shots he faced in 1-0 win over the New Jersey Devils.

Andersen deserved a round of applause tonight, making several key saves, including a a handful in overtime to win his fourth straight match. He has improved his record to 11-6-0 with a goals 3.04 against average and a .909 save percentage.
