Vanek has missed the past two games with the ailment, during which the Sabres were 1-0-1. Vanek has cooled down considerably since his red-hot start and has just one goal since Feb. 9. Hopefully he'll be able to rediscover his scoring touch and get back to the point-per-game player he was earlier in the season.

Nathan MacKinnon scored a power-play goal in overtime Tuesday against the Vancouver Canucks and he added three assists.

The All-Star MacKinnon totaled a game-high six goals with a blocked shot, a minor penalty and a hit across 23:37 of ice time. It wasn't all great, as he won just nine of his 22 faceoffs. Most fantasy pools do not go that deep, however, and the four-point night was tremendous. It appears he is over the shoulder ailment which forced him out for eight games. Feel confident starting him again across all fantasy formats.
