Darcy Kuemper has been sent to AHL Iowa on a conditioning assignment.

He can be there for up to two weeks. That leaves Devan Dubnyk as Minnesota's likely starter and Niklas Backstrom as the backup. Evgeni Malkin (lower body) has been placed on injured reserve.

He hasn't played since Jan. 20. Malkin wasn't expected to return immediately after the All-Star break. He's tied for third in the league scoring race with 51 points in 45 games this season.

Tyler Johnson (lower body) will be a game-time decision for Tuesday's game against Carolina.

He took part in Monday's practice, but coach Jon Cooper said he's still day-to-day. Johnson wasn't able to play in the All-Star Game because of a lower-body injury, but he's still eligible to play because he participated in All-Star weekend events.

Steven Stamkos (Lightning), Patrick Kane (Blackhawks), Claude Giroux (Flyers) and Alex Ovechkin (Capitals) also had three points each for Team Foligno.
