Harry Zolnierczyk has been sent to AHL Norfolk.

The Anaheim Ducks acquired Zolnierczyk from the Philadelphia Flyers. He would be a good source of PIM if he could find a job as a regular fourth line forward on an NHL team. However, Anaheim might just see him as a depth option.

Brandon Montour will take over the quarterbacking duties on the first power play from the injured Cam Fowler.

The boost in Montour's fantasy value will be big as he now plays with the big boys on the first unit. He had a goal and an assist Friday and has two of each in seven games. Get him in your lineup.

Patrick Eaves was in the intensive care unit of the hospital last week with Guillain-Barre syndrome.

Eaves is out of the ICU as he has improved. The illness is 'a disorder in which the body's immune system attacks the peripheral nervous system'. Eaves played another game before being sidelined again. It was when he visited with specialists to detect the source of his feelings of physical weakness that the rare disorder was diagnosed and immediate hospitalization was required. The Ducks say he is expected to make a full recovery. "I want to thank Dr. Robert Watkins Sr. and Dr. Danny Benmoshe for their early diagnosis of my condition, along with the proactive Ducks medical team," Eaves said in a statement released Monday. "Thanks to them and the incredible nurses at Hoag Hospital, I’m on the road to recovery. I’ve received tremendous amount of support over the last few days, most importantly from my family, friends and teammates. I’m determined to fully overcome this and return to the ice as soon as possible." We wish Eaves a speedy recovery.

Victor Antipin practiced on the Sabres' top power-play unit on Monday.

The Sabres have surrendered a league-high six shorthanded goals, which has led to them including a second defenseman on their top power-play unit. Antipin is the benefactor of that change. It's an especially big opportunity given that Antipin spent four games as a healthy scratch before dressing in Buffalo's last two contests. "He's made the best of his opportunity since he's got back in the lineup," Sabres coach Phil Housley said. "He's moving his feet, skating, defending well – all the things that we're looking for from him. He's just sort of moving up and earned a spot to try on the power play."

Trevor Lewis scored a goal and an assist in Monday's 3-2 loss to the Toronto Maple Leafs.

Lewis picked up the primary assist on Adrian Kempe's second-period goal that cut Toronto's lead to 2-1 at the time. Lewis' shorthanded goal cut his team's deficit to 3-2 with less than eight minutes remaining in regulation. Unfortunately for the Kings, that's as close as they'd come to tying the game. Lewis now has three goals and three assists in eight games this season. He's picked up five of those six points in his last three contests.

Logan Couture scored a goal and an assist in Monday's 4-1 win over the New York Rangers.

Couture has been red-hot of late, as he's collected an incredible nine points in his last four contests. Tonight, the Sharks forward opened the scoring less than two minutes into the first period. He then set up Melker Karlsson's goal (4-0) early in the third period. Couture finished the game with a plus-3 rating and three shots on goal in 18:07 of ice time. He now has seven goals and three assists in eight games this season.

Jannik Hansen and Timo Meier will serve as healthy scratches in tonight's game against the Rangers.

Head coach Pete DeBoer is trying to send the team a message. He's clearly not happy with the lack of secondary scoring, so this is his way of shuffling things up. Dylan DeMelo will also watch from the press box on Monday night.

The sources said that Parise has experienced little to no back pain, but he has been dealing with persistent, intense pain in one of his legs. The procedure could come as early as Tuesday if he decides to go in that direction. Parise is slated to miss his seventh straight game on Tuesday night.

Coach Todd McLellan anticipates that Leon Draisaitl (concussion) will be ready to play Tuesday night.

However, it should be noted that Draisaitl has not been officially cleared to return to action, so he should be considered questionable at this time.

Andre Burakovsky (upper body) is expected to "miss some time," according to coach Barry Trotz.

Trotz will have more information on Burakovsky's status Tuesday. The Capitals winger wasn't able to practice Monday due to an upper-body injury, which he sustained last Saturday.
