The Panthers' loss to the Leafs on Thursday clinched the NHL's worst record.

It's the first time in franchise history that the Panthers will finish the season as the worst team in the NHL. With one game remaining, they're 14-27-6. Florida has a 25-percent chance of landing the top pick in the 2013 draft. "It hasn’t been an easy year for players or management and more importantly our fan base," coach Kevin Dineen said. "For all of us, it was a pretty active season where things happened fast and furious. Days off were few and far between for all of us. That was the nature of the season. Unfortunately for us, once we got down we couldn’t stop the ball rolling."
