it is likely he will miss Saturday night's game, although there is still a chance he could fly out on his own should he feel better after a little chicken soup. Play it safe and bench Jagr for Saturday at least. He may be able to play Sunday against the Sens at home.

Nikolaj Ehlers captured the first star of the week for the period ending Oct. 15.

Ehlers produced five goals and two assists in three contests. He scored a pair of game winners and became just the third player in Jets/Thrashers history to post a natural hat trick. Ehlers didn't have a point in his first two appearances prior to last week's breakout.

Wild GM Chuck Fletcher indicated that Mikael Granlund (groin) could be ready to play as early as this weekend.

Granlund was originally expected to miss the team's games at Winnipeg and Calgary, but Fletcher said that's "not necessarily" the plan anymore. He looked good while skating, shooting and puckhandling before Monday's practice.

Steve Mason will start Tuesday night against Columbus.

Mason has a 0-2-0 record with a 6.53 goals-against average and an .831 save percentage in his previous two starts this campaign. Connor Hellebuyck has played well in three straight wins between the pipes for the Jets, but Mason was expected to get another opportunity.

Leon Draisaitl (concussion) won't play Tuesday night when Edmonton hosts Carolina.

Coach Todd McLellan said that Draisaitl and fellow injured forward Drake Caggiula will be evaluated to see if they can go on the team's upcoming road trip. Draisaitl didn't take part in Monday's practice.

Zach Parise (undisclosed) suffered a setback and left Monday's practice early.

"I don't know how much of a setback," coach Bruce Boudreau said. "I talked to him before practice and he felt great." He was skating with Eric Staal and Joel Eriksson Ek before leaving the ice. Parise has been trying to work himself back from an injury he had early at training camp. Last week, he denied reports that it was a back issue.

Brayden Point (illness) is probable to play Monday night.

Point didn't take part in the morning skate for "body maintenance," but coach Jon Cooper expects him to play against Detroit. He is listed as a game-time decision. It looks like you can keep Point active even though he may be feeling a bit under the weather.

Erik Karlsson will return to the lineup on Tuesday night versus Vancouver.

The Senators captain will make his season debut after sitting out the first five games with a foot injury. Karlsson underwent surgery after Ottawa was eliminated from the playoffs to repair torn tendons. Get him back in your lineup immediately.

Drew Doughty helped lead the Kings to a 3-2 victory over the Islanders on Sunday night.

A shorthanded, game-winning goal in the final match of the fantasy week surely helped owners too. Doughty is off to a red hot start with two goals and five points in five games. He's surpassed the 50-point barrier only twice in his career.

Johan Larsson picked up his first two points of the season in Sunday's 3-1 win in Anaheim.

Larsson, who notched 11 points in 36 games last season, set up Justin Bailey to open the scoring and then sealed the victory with a late goal. Larsson now has two points through six games.

Alex Tuch's first NHL goal and first NHL assist both came in handy for the Vegas Golden Knights in their 3-1 win over Boston on Sunday night.

Tuch opened the scoring in the first period, then helped Vadim Shipachyov bury his first NHL goal which proved to be the winner. Tuch, playing in his seventh NHL game, put up solid numbers in the AHL and NCAA and should develop into a regular contributor in Vegas.

Malcolm Subban made 20 saves on 21 shots to win his first NHL game against his former team on Sunday night.

Making his first start for the expansion Golden Knights against the Bruins, Subban finally tasted victory in his third NHL game. The 23-year-old improves to 1-0 with a 955 save percentage and 1.00 goals against average after Vegas' 3-1 win over the Bruins.
